* FingerlessGloves: Justice has a pair, to fit with her "cool girl" theme. The digital concept art book reveals that they were a gift from Lucifer.

* MustHaveCaffeine: Pandemonica, the Tired Demon states that she's not herself until she's had her coffee. Unusually for this trope, the ending reveals that she becomes far ''less'' pleasant when she's had her caffeine, with her title changing to "The Sadistic Demon" and her threatening to break the protagonist's fingers if he brews it wrong. Though a subsequent comic has shown Pandemonica can be friendly and cheerful as well, which Azazel attributes to Pandemonica getting good coffee.

* AmbiguousSituation: It's not clear what's happening in the only image they're seen in. All the girls in the back are praying-at-attention, so either the officer is glaring at the Helltaker who lied his way into Heaven, or she's disciplining one of her subordinates. Or she's ''[[WhatTheHellPlayer glaring at the player.]]''

* FallenAngels: Several of them are this, with Lucifer and Judgement almost casually confirmed as such by Justice in a comic (who noticeably ''doesn't'' refer to herself as one despite her more moral standing among the demons) while Azazel is slowly falling into this [[spoiler:and completes her fall in the timeline that leads to ''Examtaker'']]. It's ambiguous if any others are too or are "natural" demons.

!!Beelzebub, The Queen Crimson

* MeaningfulName: "Modeus" is derived from "Asmodeus", a demon that theologian Peter Binsfield associated with the sin of Lust.

* [[BadassInANiceSuit Badasses In Nice Suits]]: As stated in its premise, this game isn't merely about demons, but ''sharply-dressed'' demons, each of whom can effortlessly kill the protagonist in their own bad endings. Even the most casual of the harem still wear buttoned shirts and fitted pants. The only exception is [[FinalBoss Judgement]], who wears shorts and a cleavage-baring top.

* {{Cute Monster Girl}}s: All of the demons are fairly attractive women with horns, with the exception of Cerberus, who is instead one soul inhabiting a trio of LittleBitBeastly bodies with dog ears and tails, and Beelzebub, a massive fly-like AnimalisticAbomination [[spoiler:[[AFormYouAreComfortableWith until the secret ending]]]].

* {{Hell Hound}}s: Their very canine motifs and the name of the Greek guardian of Tartarus that they use marks them as one.

* NinetiesAntiHero: He plays this archetype far straighter than the Helltaker ever did, being a cartoonishly muscular AxCrazy {{Jerkass}} in red who's confrontational to everyone he meets, primarily motivated by revenge, and oh yeah, ''he's a human-demon hybrid.''

* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Though at first glance he looks essentially like a demonic equivalent to the Helltaker, his actual personality is very different. The Helltaker has a FaceOfAThug and an aggressive side but is [[RealMenWearPink mostly genial, loving, and forgiving]]. 667, meanwhile, is far more overtly violent and angry, and actively threatens Loremaster with death, something the Helltaker never considered even when dealing with the most vicious and cruel demons. That said, [[{{Determinator}} he does share the Helltaker's incredibly strong will]] and surprising cleverness, which makes Lucifer rather curious.

* {{Jerkass}}: While he has a compulsion towards [[AxCrazy murderous violence]] against anything that makes him angry, especially the very existence of his "creator" Loremaster, even when calm and interacting with people he doesn't hate, like Lucifer and Justice, he's still surly, insulting, and very aggressive. This is still very understandable, since the strong implication that [[TragicMonster he exists against his will in a constant state of agony]] would make anybody into a near-permanent asshole.

* StalkerWithACrush: [[https://twitter.com/vanripperart/status/1315644032899481600 A comic where she reveals Pandemonica's hidden side]] heavily implies that one of her methods for researching the demon girls is stalking them around without them knowing, something that alarms Pandemonica into "confiscating" said research. The most recent comic shows that she has extensive binders for all of the girls, although only four can be seen.

* NinetiesAntiHero: According to WordOfGod, his appearance was based on this character archetype.[[invoked]] Downplayed, though, as despite hanging out with demons, Helltaker's morality doesn't seem to be anything worse than the average person. In fact, he tends to discourage the more aggressive personality traits of the demon girls.

* AmbiguousSituation: At the end, it's not really clear if Helltaker actually created a real harem of demon girls, or if he just ended up with a bunch of rowdy demonic roommates. Either way, Helltaker seems to be happy with the result.

** He is also one to [[Franchise/{{Doom}} The Doomguy/Doomslayer]], a character well known for fearlessly taking on the forces of Hell singlehandedly. The title Helltaker could also be seen as a synonym of Doomslayer.

* NoNameGiven: The protagonist is never actually named, though he's referred to as Helltaker in the epilogue.

* SharpDressedMan: As shown in the prologue, he puts on a cool white suit before heading to hell to build his harem. Given the creator's affinity for fancy suits, it's probably Helltaker's usual style rather than him dressing to impress the girls.

* UncertainDoom: [[spoiler:''Examtaker'' is strongly implied to take place far enough in the future that a regular adult human during the main story would've died long ago, but the story leaves it vaguely uncertain if Helltaker is dead, as it takes place in the Abysstaker timeline and the story heavily implies that time doesn't flow in the Abyss, so there's the possibility he could still be alive in there.]]
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: All he wanted was to create a harem of demon girls, and decided that having an angel girl among them would do nicely too, but he never planned far enough to consider the potential consequences of what might happen to Azazel due to being surrounded by demonic influence. He also didn't consider what might happen if he [[spoiler:trapped himself in the Abyss with Beelzebub in the "Abysstaker" timeline, leaving the demon girls to run amok on Earth with only Judgement to reign them in, as him no longer being their MoralityChain meant that the demons, especially Lucifer, were free to influence Azazel into becoming a FallenAngel. Absolutely nobody could've imagined she'd become such a powerful demon that she eventually conquered Hell and turned it into her personal playground for expanding demonic research, which was only possible due to Helltaker's random but simple quest to fulfill an odd desire]].
* WorthIt: Helltaker gets his demon girl harem at the end of the game, but because they're demons they regularly torment him with both physical and verbal abuse. While he is clearly stressed out by their behaviour the narrator notes that living a life without suffering isn't worthwhile if you can't enjoy yourself as well. The normal ending artwork suggests that Helltaker views it this way too since he's clearly happy with his company.

* ChastityCouple: Although all of the girls do agree to join Helltaker's harem, most of them seem to have this kind of relationship with him. After moving into his house in the epilogue, the majority of them act more like loud and rowdy roommates than devoted lovers. Granted, at the end of the game they all do seem to have developed a genuine fondness for Helltaker.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Outside of a select few whose fates are shown, it's unknown what happened to the rest of the harem [[spoiler:during the events of Examtaker. Still, Loremaster losing her arms in the process of conquering hell implies that at least some of them fought back and were potentially killed]].

* EvenEvilHasStandards: Despite the fact that she's a demon, and even moreso that she's the most sadistic character in the game, she'll try to stop Helltaker if he takes Zdrada's advice to kill himself.

* MeaningfulName: Her name is derived from ''Pandemonium'', a city of demons, representing her role as Helltaker's introduction to the world of demons.

* NiceToTheWaiter: [[https://twitter.com/vanripperart/status/1315644032899481600 She apparently treats the owner of a cafe down the street from where Helltaker and the girls live rather nicely]]. Azazel assumes it's a third personality triggered by high quality coffee, [[{{Tsundere}} but Pandemonica doesn't confirm or deny it, being more flustered that Azazel was spying on her and confiscating her "research"]].
* OnAScaleFromOneToTen: She asks for one of these after giving you advice on the spikes in the second level. If you give her a ten, she'll comment she's never gotten that score before.

* HaremSeeker: At least in the timeline where Helltaker wound up trapped in [[spoiler:the Abyss with Beelzebub]]. After Helltaker brought his demon-girl harem back to Earth with him and then vanished, Modeus decided to follow in his footsteps by [[https://twitter.com/vanripperart/status/1341057243349979136 trying to create a harem of human guys]], and unlike him, she has no qualms about using "questionable" methods to do so, such as concocting experimental chemicals in the pursuit of creating a functioning LovePotion. She apparently does stuff like this often enough that she frequently shares the "punishment sofa" with Cerberus.

* LuminescentBlush: She literally steams when Helltaker suggests they go on a date together.

* {{Yandere}}: The combination of her being a demon utterly obsessed with sex, living in hell where any sense of morality (such as consent and happiness) doesn't exist, and the only humans she normally interacts with being corrupt sinners that only care about getting ''out'' of Hell, means the only form of "love" she knows is kidnapping and forcing men into being her {{Sex Slave}}s, with her having decided by the time Helltaker came that breaking their legs with a hammer was the best way to keep any more "lovers" from running away from her "affection". It's not until she's exposed to human media that she comes to think that love might potentially work in tamer forms in addition to those that she's used to, though she's still prone to drugging and possibly kidnapping people.

* CutenessOverload: According to the death screen if you pick the wrong option, it's implied Helltaker got a heart attack due to Cerberus being too cute. [[AmbiguousSituation Either that or they tore him apart to use the Hell gate.]]

* LittleBitBeastly: Cerberus the Triple Demon is a trio of vessels for one soul that look like SameSexTriplets with dog ears (though they still have the typical devil's forked tails like other demons in the game). It applies behaviorally, too; their "bad ending" has them pouncing Helltaker like a bunch of playful puppies ([[AmbiguousSituation unless it was more like a rabid pack of dogs]]), and in the epilogue they act just like the guilty dog that knows you know it got into the garbage.

* NotSoHarmlessVillain: While their explicit purpose is to [[TheCorrupter travel to Earth in order to corrupt humanity]], they're generally portrayed as friendly and somewhat harmless, easily quelled by Helltaker and Judgement. However, they occasionally say things that imply they can be genuinely dangerous, such as whatever got the police on their tails and situations where they enter a "pleasure feedback loop" that prevents them from thinking straight.

Malina's older sister. As her title suggests, she's a [[SmugSnake smug]] JerkAss and cigarette chomper with a casual, whatever-you-say attitude. She joins the harem just because she can.

* SexySpectacles: She puts on a pair of glasses in one comic, as she lost her usual contact lenses. When Helltaker says he likes the look on her, Zdrada says that she'll never wear them again.

* ArmoredClosetGay: WordOfGod from Vanripper implies she's likely a lesbian, [[https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/268620283340914689/714579884290080818/unknown.png but deeply in the closet about it due to her status as a servant of God.]] [[invoked]]
* CorruptTheCutie: While she was already a CovertPervert and an ArmoredClosetGay, she was a genuinely angelic NiceGirl who had zero sinful intentions. But the longer she hung around the demons, the less "angelic" she became. Initially, Azazel just admired the attractive bodies of the demon girls, but then she took up stalking the girls, extensively researching tomes of black magic, looked up porn online out of curiosity, and ends up joining Modeus and Justice in trying to engage in filming "real" porn. This corruption reaches the point of being literal, with her hair turning from black to gray and growing horn bumps, both signs that she's becoming a FallenAngel.

* NiceGirl: As befitting an angel, she is pretty pleasant. Along with [[TokenGoodTeammate Justice]], she's the only one who doesn't kill you if you pick the wrong dialogue option. (Though you do get a NonStandardGameOver.)

* NonStandardGameOver: She's an angel, so she won't kill you if you say the wrong thing to her, but if Helltaker tries to hit on her by saying he's looking for angels she misunderstands and brings him up to heaven, which means he loses his demon girl harem.

* TokenGoodTeammate: Fitting for the sole angel among the main cast, she takes this the furthest out of everybody. In addition to how she shares Justice's position as a rare case of never posing a lethal threat to Helltaker, she combines the strong sin-averse morality of Judgement with the friendly and approachable NiceGirl temperament of Justice, meaning the majority of her actions and interactions are both friendly and morally sound. Even the fact she's a CovertPervert NightmareFetishist is heavily moderated, with the absolute worst she gets being the fact her half-research half-attraction towards the demon girls can result in her doing questionable things, such as acting as a StalkerWithACrush or letting the girls coerce her into doing perverted stuff. [[spoiler:As Loremaster, though, she drops the "good" part, being far more willing to torment and potentially kill Subject 67 for the sake of experimentation.]]

* BewareTheNiceOnes: She's the nicest out of all the demons, being a TokenGoodTeammate who never poses a lethal danger to Helltaker at any point, even being able to get along with any and all of the other demon girls regardless of personality. But one best be wary about messing with her, since not only is she a RetiredBadass who acted as High Prosecutor before Judgement (who gives a good idea of the bare-minimum badassery needed for the job), but she's also heavily feared and respected by Heaven itself as strong enough to beat up Beelzebub and toss them into the Abyss.

* {{Meido}}: She's dressed like this during [[spoiler:the events of Examtaker, and interestingly, unlike Lucifer, who resents her situation behind the Loremaster's back, Justice genuinely doesn't seem to mind her position of Apple Pie maker.]]
* MsViceGirl: She's the second-most moral demon among the cast after Judgement, being a NiceGirl who never poses a danger to Helltaker. However, unlike Judgement, who has such strong morals that she refuses to do anything sinful, Justice is all about how much fun she can have without hurting anybody, which sometimes results in her breaking laws or coercing others into committing sin, not because she's trying to damn her companions to Hell, but because she doesn't let pesky things like "rules" keep her from enjoying life.

* SupremeChef: At least in Examtaker, where her apple pies are so good that [[spoiler:they're used to control Subject 67, who utterly loves them to the detriment of his mental freedom. Sure, he has an unnatural love of them, but it's implied that it does have to be ''good'' apple pie.]]
* TokenGoodTeammate: She's actually a rather downplayed case amongst the demons, especially compared to Judgement. While she ''is'' a NiceGirl who doesn't pose any harm to Helltaker, she's actually a slight case of a MsViceGirl, being all for engaging in and encouraging others to engage in law-breaking sinning if it's for the sake of harmless fun.

* BloodyMurder: Lucifer's second BadEnd has her killing Helltaker by turning all his blood into vinegar.

* CryCute: She's normally the picture of calm and smooth arrogance, but when Judgement refuses to stand down on her attempts to kill Helltaker and the other demons even cheer the fighting on, Lucifer is noticeably red-faced in embarrassment while holding back tears.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: She'll walk all over Helltaker like any of the other girls, and even stabs him [[DisproportionateRetribution for accidentally splashing her with batter while mixing it vigorously]] in the artbook's pancake recipe comic. But she still thinks that it's the least she can do to help out Helltaker in the kitchen.

* AGlassOfChianti: She's always seen holding a glass of red wine when you're in Hell. She even swirls it when Helltaker walks up to her.

* HoistByTheirOwnPetard: Lucifer goes about trying to [[TheCorrupter convince Azazel to further become a Fallen Angel]] by telling her the 'disguise' would help her study Demons and Sin even better. [[spoiler:Come some undetermined time in the future, this disguise and goal would end up toppling Lucifer from the throne of Hell and give rise to the Loremaster.]] Sometimes, she does her job a little too well.

* {{Housewife}}: She's the most domestic out of the harem, who helps with cooking and laundry in Helltaker's household and is often seen wearing an apron. Her relationship to Helltaker is even LikeAnOldMarriedCouple, with Lucifer sometimes bickering and teasing him. [[spoiler:This ends up being played darkly when Loremaster seems to see domestic work as all she's good for... and now she doesn't even have the wife part.]]

* {{Meido}}: Referenced by Justice in a conversation with her, where she comments Lucifer wouldn't do half-bad if she tried maid roleplaying. [[spoiler:Ends up becoming one after Azazel/Loremaster took over hell, forced to be Loremaster's right-hand girl. Lucy is ''not'' happy about this, given that she openly grimaces when having to be subservient, and that [[TheStarscream she's openly plotting to get her crown back]].]]

* {{Satan}}: Lucifer is one of the demons the protagonist adds to his harem. In this game, she's a woman, and is described as the [=CEO=] of hell.

* {{Tsundere}}: One of the more antagonistic demons when first encountered, but by the end of the game she seems to be genuinely fond of the Helltaker, becoming distraught when Judgement threatens him in the final boss fight, and helping him bake pancakes in the epilogue, not that she'd ever admit to it. [[spoiler:The "Examtaker" bonus chapter shows she still carries a torch for Helltaker as she reminisces on her time with him while adjusting Subject 67's tie.]]
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: [[https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/898/044/eaa.jpg One of the comics]] reveals she has some limited shapeshifting abilities, which she uses to transform into a goat-type BeastMan after Helltaker asks about why demons are often depicted with goat-like features. She uses it to tease Helltaker about being [[UsefulNotes/FurryFandom a furry]].
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: If ''Examtaker'' is any indication, then [[spoiler:that push Lucifer gave Azazel to go undercover as a demon ends up biting her in the ass ''hard'' Not only did Loremaster conquer Hell, but she forced Lucifer to be a maid as well]].
* YourSoulIsMine: If you pledge your soul to her, [[NonStandardGameOver she kisses you on the forehead, and your life melts away.]] She notes that until Helltaker arrived, everyone who reached her chose said option, and she still seems to consider Helltaker her "property" even when she does join.

* HaremNanny: While Helltaker provides the house for the demons, Judgement is the one generally responsible for wrangling everyone, such as [[https://twitter.com/vanripperart/status/1320709194367049728 punishing Cerberus after the latter tries to corrupt some kids]], or [[https://twitter.com/vanripperart/status/1341057243349979136 stopping Modeus's plans to get her own human harem]].
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She has a rather stern and commanding personality as the High Prosecutor, holding a GoodIsNotNice attitude over maintaining the law and order of Hell, even if that means punishing a mostly innocent human that walked into Hell willingly when they try to ''leave'', but beneath that no-nonsense JudgeJuryAndExecutioner persona is one of the kindest and most well-meaning demons in the underworld. She's fully willing to "postpone" Helltaker's "punishment" once he breaks her Sin Machine and convinces her to take a "vacation" by joining his harem, and when "off-the-clock" she generally has a friendly and approachable attitude, only bringing out her sterner attitude when reprimanding the rowdier girls.

* KnightTemplar: She doesn't derive any joy from her job as High Prosecutor, but she feels duty-bound to carry out judgement against human sinners that try to leave Hell, with even Lucifer, the Queen of Hell herself, unable to stop her. Even once she's beaten and joins Helltaker's harem, she is the most heavily conscious of the rules and laws of the mortal realm, punishing the other girls whenever they risk committing criminal actions.

* MundaneUtility: Those glowing white magical chains she creates to fight Helltaker also function well as a way to restrain people, fitting for the "jailer" of Hell. After coming to Earth, she mainly utilizes them to keep the rowder harem members in check, chaining up those like Cerberus or Modeus and having them sit on the "punishment sofa".
* NoIndoorVoice: Most of her dialogue is written in all caps, which indicates this. However, it's indicated it's at least partially her playing up her image, as it becomes normal when she stops the theatrics long enough to admit she'd actually rather not torture Helltaker but it's her job and offering her to join the harem.

* PunchClockVillain: Being High Prosecutor means she's in charge of judging the sins of humans and meting out appropriate punishments, along with stopping any attempts to escape from Hell, and while she holds a KnightTemplar disposition about her work, she actually rather dislikes the job despite seeing it as necessary, and the moment Helltaker provides her with an excuse to ''stop'' acting out her role by beating her and asking her to join the harem, she immediately takes him up on the offer, viewing it as technically being a "vacation" from her duties.

* TokenGoodTeammate: Of a different sort than either Azazel or Justice, as rather than being a completely harmless NiceGirl who can either be tempted into sinning like Azazel or outright revels in mostly-harmless sinning like Justice, Judgement's actually a GoodIsNotNice JerkWithAHeartOfGold whose sense of morality is the strongest out of everybody, not only refusing to do anything even slightly sinful, but also reigning in the more troublesome members like Cerberus or Modeus when they try to wreak havoc on Earth. Even her status as the FinalBoss is just her trying to enforce the laws of Hell, and she's quite easily swayed into finding a loophole in her job that lets her spare Helltaker and spend a "vacation" on Earth. There's implications that this is because she's a FallenAngel of a similar sorts to Lucifer, but unlike her who fell due to sinfully indulging in her desires in opposition of God's laws and rules, Judgement is strongly implied to have taken the idea of maintaining laws and rules to such KnightTemplar levels that even God found her extreme and cast her out, so her morality and goodness never wavered even after becoming a demon.
* WeAreStrugglingTogether: While Judgement and Lucifer both have important jobs administrating Hell, they don't care too much for one another. Judgement explicitly calls Lucifer a "snake" and refuses her orders to stand down when torturing Helltaker. The fact that they are both fallen angels instead of native demons seems to contribute to their animosity, especially the implications that their reasons for falling are completely opposite of each other.

* DefeatEqualsExplosion: Upon being defeated, they burst into a bunch of [[StockFemurBone Stock Femur Bones.]]

* NPCRoadblock: Their primary purpose. Actively Defied by Helltaker, who can kick them around and even destroy them if they're backed against a wall, and played straight in that doing so costs the player Will, requiring them to avoid or spare certain skeletons to successfully complete the level.
* OutOfFocus: While they had prominent roles in both the game and a few of the early comics, they pretty much vanish from the comics taking place after the game story, which is {{justified|Trope}} since they act as guards for Hell, along with not making any sort of agreement to join Helltaker, so they don't factor into the Earth-focused plots of the comics.

* GoodLookingPrivates: All of them are attractive young women, and WordOfGod states that Heaven may or may not have a military fetish going on. [[invoked]]

* SweetTooth: Upon Helltaker offering them pancakes, the armored officer is seen taking off her mask and eagerly licking her lips.
* TokenMinority: The detective is black, though given how she's one of the only three human characters in the game (the detective, the police officer with her, and Helltaker himself) it's not a particularly egregious example.

* ItAmusedMe: In the various after-story comics involving her, it's shown that the heavy isolation from being stuck in the Abyss means she has taken to doing anything she can to sate her insanity-inducing boredom. One such method is filling every room of her palace with tentacles, purely for the sheer potential hilarity of seeing somebody like Helltaker being grabbed and manhandled by them.

* MilkingTheGiantCow: While not the LargeHam Judgement is, Beelzebub seems to possess a flair for the dramatic herself, considering that after revealing her humanoid form she poses dramatically while finishing saying her titles and officially welcoming Helltaker.

* NinetiesAntiHero: He plays this archetype far straighter than Helltaker ever did, being a cartoonishly muscular AxCrazy {{Jerkass}} in red who's confrontational to everyone he meets, primarily motivated by revenge, and oh yeah, ''he's a human-demon hybrid.''

* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Though at first glance he looks essentially like a demonic equivalent to Helltaker, his actual personality is very different. Helltaker has a FaceOfAThug and an aggressive side but is [[RealMenWearPink mostly genial, loving, and forgiving]]. 667, meanwhile, is far more overtly violent and angry, and actively threatens Loremaster with death, something Helltaker never considered even when dealing with the most vicious and cruel demons. That said, [[{{Determinator}} he does share Helltaker's incredibly strong will]] and surprising cleverness, which makes Lucifer rather curious.

* HybridMonster: He's an artificial genetic fusion between human and demon, and his appearance looks like a monstrous combination of Helltaker and the Skeletons.

The antagonist of the [[DistantFinale Examtaker]] bonus chapter released in the one-year Anniversary Update.\\\

* AchievementsInIgnorance: She somehow took over Hell in the TimeSkip to the Examtaker chapter while believing [[ImplausibleDeniability she's still on her research project]] and [[FailedASpotCheck still an angel]].

** Lucifer never directly opposed Helltaker and in fact tried to protect him from Judgement, even if [[NoRespectGuy her efforts were defied quite easily]]; Loremaster is personally responsible for all the suffering Subject 67 goes through, and despite everybody else's efforts her torturous experiments are successfully pulled off.
** Lucifer was the demon closest to Helltaker and still remembers him fondly; Loremaster seemingly cares nothing for him, with her as Azazel following Helltaker simply for the benefits of extending her "[[CovertPervert research]]" regarding the demons.

* DyeHard: Not her hair, since [[MysticalWhiteHair that turned white thanks to her fall from grace]]. Instead, she paints her horns white to make herself look like an elder demon. [[invoked]]

* HeWhoFightsMonsters: Loremaster has become so obsessed with studying sin and demons that, upon learning every single thing there was to know about sin and demons, she decided to create new sins and new demons in order to study them. Subject 667 is such an example; she created a human-demon hybrid for the sake of sinning against creation itself.

* LightIsNotGood: While she does add some demonic black to her wardrobe through her suit, she still has the highest amount of white among the cast in her color scheme, including her MysticalWhiteHair, painted-white horns, white LabcoatOfScienceAndMedicine, and mostly-white ArtificialLimbs. While she still ''[[ObliviouslyEvil thinks]]'' she's a case of LightIsGood, she's very much become a true FallenAngel willing to torture and torment people for the sake of her WellIntentionedExtremist efforts, which is represented well by how her demonic-black suit is covered by the angelic-white lab coat.

* ReverseArmfold: As the above picture shows, Loremaster does this quite a lot, befitting a FallenAngel MadScientist who tortures her creations ForScience

A sharply-dressed guy with an equally sharp tongue, sunglasses and a love for crepes, who ventures into [[FireAndBrimstoneHell Hell]] in order to create a harem for himself.

* WeaksauceWeakness: He's incredibly powerful, able to take down a huge robot many times his own size. However, he loves apple pies so much that anybody who offers him one is able to control him quite easily. This is deliberate however, as it is stated in the art book that, to nullify this anger, Loremaster programmed him (and possibly previous subjects) with a weakness to apple pies, completely mollifying them.

* UncertainDoom: [[spoiler:''Examtaker'' is strongly implied to take place far enough in the future that a regular adult human during the main story would've died long ago, but the story leaves it vaguely uncertain if Helltaker actually died, as it takes place in the Abysstaker timeline and the story heavily implies that time doesn't flow in the Abyss, so there's the possibility he could still be alive in there. Though there's also some extra implications of the possibility that Subject 67 might be a forcibly revived and demonicized Helltaker, since he has no memories of his past and Lucifer notes the two are so similar it makes her curious what truly happened to Helltaker.]]

* WhosLaughingNow: The other demons used to treat Azazel as naïve, silly, or a plaything that {{The Corrupter}}s of the group could toy with. In the ''Examtaker'' timeline, Loremaster has not only become a greater threat than any demon before her, but also stolen the throne from Lucifer and forced her to be a maid. Loremaster even says "they underestimated my curiosity" while giving a knowing, [[GlowingEyesOfDoom glowing-eyed]] stare with a SlasherSmile at Lucifer, who can't even respond to Loremaster's taunting except with a pained grimace.

* CassandraTruth: One of the comics indicates that the angels have seen some of the harem on earth (including Justice, Judgement, and Lucifer), but the angel who notices this is dismissed and told they're probably just lookalikes.

* DidNotGetTheGirl: Basically none of the girls seem to actually see him as a substantial romantic partner other than potentially Modeus, given her blushing at the idea of a date with him, and her being only one hugging him in the normal ending slide, [[spoiler:whereas Beelzebub is the only one confirmed to have at least ''some'' amount of feelings and interest in him, but that's only in the timeline where he willingly traps himself in the Abyss with her, making him lose out on his original harem]]. The others, in the end, just become loud and rowdy roommates rather than a harem devoted to him, with Azazel even being implied to only be interested in the demon girls. However, he takes it in stride, being happy to have made friends. All comics so far seem to support him not really being in a relationship with any of the girls, and being happy nonetheless. The guy must have been lonely to make do with the company he keeps. [[spoiler:The ending of the ''Examtaker'' DLC indicates that Lucifer does hold some feelings and still misses him, even many ''many'' years after he went missing in the Abyss timeline.]]
