Not wanting any witnesses, Thanos destroyed their car. Arthur and his wife had perished, while his daughter Heather survived the crash. She was found by Mentor, Thanos' father and taken to be raised on his homeworld Titan ( and later becoming known as Moondragon in adulthood). Mentor and the eternal Kronos salvaged Arthur's soul and gave it a new body for the purpose of killing Thanos. From then, Arthur Douglass was known as Drax the Destroyer.

Not wanting any witnesses, Thanos destroyed their car. Arthur and his wife had perished, while his daughter Heather survived the crash. She was found by Mentor, Thanos' father and taken to be raised on his homeworld Titan ( and later becoming known as Moondragon in adulthood). Mentor and the eternal Kronos salvaged Arthur's soul and gave it a new body for the purpose of killing Thanos. From then, Arthur Douglass was known as Drax the Destroyer.

Originally a test animal for the Soviet Space Program, Cosmo eventually drifted to Knowhere and would be mutated into an intelligent dog with telekinesis and telepathy. He is chief of security of Knowhere and a steadfast ally of the Guardians and other Cosmic heroes.
