* BewareTheQuietOnes: She may be the least social of the Mihama students, usually keeping to her books or locking herself up in her room, however she is also the last person you want to piss off. * DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:Her father never loved her or her mother, which led her both mentally and physically weak mother to be hospitalised, and her to be shipped to her mother's parents. Her grandparents only saw her as an asset, as only her extermely wealthy father kept their business afloat. It was always bemoand for her not to be born as a boy, because then she would have been able to become a proper heir to her father. When her mother started to get better and they started to get their relationship normalised, first since her birth, her father had concived a bastard, and planned to divorce her mother, of which the mere news of it completely broke her. Then her father took back Yumiko, acting resentful of his actions, only to turn out, that his bastard died and he needed an heir again. Even in school she had to find out that her classmate only pretended to be her friend to screw with her, which led her to attack said classmate with a box cutter.]]

* DefrostingIceQueen: In her route, she defrosts so much that she eventually turns into complete mush. Outside it, she simply mellows out like Makina said she would.

* IceQueen: She is rich,shaltered, prideful, and most certainly cold and aloof. She [[DefrostingIceQueen melts]] fairily well througout the story, even outside of her route.

* {{Tsundere}}: Despite being more of a {{Kuudere}}, Yumiko is also a natural at being this, which makes a dismayed Michiru tell Yumiko to stop stealing her gimmick,even though yuuji kazami is more kuudere then tsundere.

* BuxomIsBetter: Amane is rather well endowed, which mostly played for [[GagBoobs laughs]], but protagonist Yuuji is by self-addmission, likes breasts bigger, and since Amane is aware of that kind of tendency in man, she is not afraid to take advatage of it. In fact Amane deliberately dresses in skimpy outfits, not only to show off her "assets" more, but because she noticed, that the elderly male shopkeepers tend to shower her with freebies.

A second-year in Mihama academy, Michiru is a wannabe tsundere with bleached blonde twin-tails. She has a deep interest in tsundere-ness and tries to act like a tsundere herself, though she often falls short in hilarious fashion. With her silly and energetic personality she acts as the mood-maker of the class, though she's academically somewhat weak and - even ignoring her ditzy personality - isn't the brightest spark. She always carries a shark-shaped pouch which contains lemonade-flavored "ramune" candy. Despite having difficulty dealing with sour foods, she still tries to drink 100% pure Vitamin C juiceboxes in order to ostensibly “improve her intelligence”. She's been on the bad side of Lady Luck since birth, it seems, but she always manages to get through it in one way or another.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler: She was never a bright student, so when she underpreformed with her private tutors, her father always blamed and humiliated them. Out of petty revenge her tutors took out their fustration on her, abusing her both mentally and physically, forcing her to admit being completely useless, which left her with severe depression and cripplingly low self-esteem. Which then lead her parents growing distant with her. When she went to a normal school and finally managed to make a friend, her friend commited suicide. She had a bad heart, which had to be replaced, however when the heart donor girl's conscience awakened inside her even being capable of taking control of her body, she tried to commit suicide, which caused her to be locked in a psychiatric ward, from which she only got out of by faking a different personality.]]

* EmptyShell: [[spoiler:Michiru becames this on her bad ending, where her attempted suicide leaves her with permanent brain damage.]]

Where she realised that [[ObfuscatingStupidity making an idiot out of herself]] makes people laugh.]] Now she acts like the [[spoiler:[[ButtMonkey Butt-Monkey]] and the [[ClassClown Class Clown]]]], because she feels this is the only thing she is even remotely good at, making people laugh and bringing at least that much happiness in their life.

* IdiotHair: Yuuji manages to convince Michiru that her idiot hair, which he calls Charlie[[note]]Her twintails are Alpha and Bravo[[/note]], is cat repellant. She gains a HeadPet for her trouble when she believes him.

* RemovedFromThePicture: On her route [[spoiler:Michiru removes herself from all the pictures she have taken with the other girls of Mihama, symbolising how she given up on life and they are better off without her.]]

* TalkingToThemself: [[spoiler:Only at the end of her route when Michiru finally manages to accept her other side, mananging to coexist with her, do they become able to communicate.]]

* {{Tsundere}}: Michiru is seen at the start of the story giving herself tsundere practice. She keeps fumbling at it and being decently polite and friendly. She gets called out on it in short order and no one takes it seriously. However, when she’s not playacting at tsundere, she does seem to be a iittle tsuntsun towards Yuuji and tends to get a little jealous when he starts dating someone else. She actually fantasizes about being able to be open with her feelings and simply snuggling with Yuuji. Much to her displeasure, the only ones who seem to really ''like'' her tsundere schtick are a bunch of kids and Michiru hates children.

* TheCuckoolanderWasRight: Makina’s interpretations of everyone’s character is occasionally spot on. For example, claiming that Yumiko is distant now but secretly wants to play the long suffering OnlySaneMan. Completely true.

* GenkiGirl: She is arguably the most energetic and random member of the cast, often exhausting or exasperating the others - and leaving them dumbstruck with her motor mouth when she doesn't.
* HeavySleeper: Makina is considered to be possibly narcoleptic. She doesn’t fall heavily asleep, but will simply pass out at the drop of a hat whenever she gets tired and can sleep over half the day quite easily. The doctors just shrugged and said it might be stress related while Yuuji figures it might be due to her poor physical physique.

* OlderThanSheLooks: Makina is a first year but looks about twelve at most. In the epilogue for Amane’s route we see her almost ten years in the future and she finally looks about fifteen.

* SkilledButNaive: Makina picks up anything Yuuji has to teach her, [[spoiler:but she forgot the whole point of his self defense style was evading combat and tries attacking several operatives. She gets shot for her trouble after some brief initial success.]]

A first-year student in Mihama academy, and a self-proclaimed maid. Except when going to school, taking a bath or swimming, she always wears maid uniform. She said that everyone told her to wear maid uniform as much as possible. She's incredibly polite and has strong sense of responsibility, never failing to accomplish any request from others. In her dictionary, there are only 3 words: “receive” – “confirm” – “execute”. Because of this, she sometimes takes jokes too seriously and causes a lot of trouble. Her favorite animal is the shark. The shark-shaped pouch which Michiru carries around is made by her.

* CursedWithAwesome: According to Sachi, her greatness weakness is that she gets weak and fluttery around Yuuji, especially if he pats her head. Naturally, people should overcome their weaknesses meaning he should do it even more often.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler: She had a loving family, however once they started to get buried by work they grew distant with each other. Her best friend abruptly left her. On her birthday when her parents tried to throw a party, in a fit of anger at their previos neglecting behavior, she ran away. Just as her parents found her they were run over by a truck right in front of Sachi's eyes, something she convinced herself to be ultimately her fault. Leading to constant PTSD attacks, which she could only cope with by faking a new personality and developing a severe case of OCD. After getting back to a normal school, her OCD made her obey any and all kinds of requests, after getting an order the get rid off a school test, something she could not reasonably fulfill, she set fire to the school.]]

* MellowFellow: Sachi’s mood never varies from a low level polite friendliness. No anger, no joy, no sadness, no stress. It starts to worry Yuuji.
* MyGreatestFailure: [[spoiler: After her previously caring parents grow distant to her, being buried by work, Sachi doubles her effort both in school and home the earn their attention, but with little succes. An entire year of neglect later at her 10th birthday, her parents seemingly come around suddenly, which angers Sachi and she runs away. Just when her parents find her at the local playground, they are ran over by a truck right in front of Sachi's eyes. She convinces that it was her fault, for not being resonable, and thoughing out the neglect, this belief leads to severe mental issues for her.]]

* ObfuscatingStupidity: This girl makes it very clear that she doesn't want to stick out with her personality and make everyone, including the Mihama girls, suspicious. So whenever the original suffers from anxiety and she is forced to take over, she mimics the original's personality right down to her airheaded nature as to avoid complicated issues. Unfortunately this does not fool Yuuji for too long and he eventually finds out about her through his keen observations.

* BrokenAce: Yuuji has went through a lot in the past, and many of it will stay with him untill the end. He maybe the best agent at the company wearing the legendary number 9029, a codename reserved for the best agent, but to get here at such a young age meant he was actually trained as a child soilder. Being treated as disposable piece of defense equipment for soo long, under constant supervision with leash soo short, that stepping away from the phone for too long would earn him a swift execution by a hit squad, is eroded him considerably. This is one of the main reasons he came to Mihama, to have a shot at normalcy, yet he can't help feeling out of place, wondering if he even deserves peace or happiness from life.

* CruelToBeKind: Michiru’s [[spoiler:transplanted personality]] tries to make everything easier for her. Much to her surprise, Yuuji refuses to play along and makes Michiru do her own difficult work. Doesn’t make even that easy for her. Considering Michiru’s earlier insecurities, he’s clearly doing it on purpose. The result is still him forcing Michiru to embarrass herself at length and repeatedly when he could make it easy for her or at least play dumb and ignore Michiru’s guardian completely.

* FingerForcedSmile: Though we doesn't get to see it, Yuuji does this to himself in Michiru's route when Yumiko questions him about the frightening expression on his face. Since he was just lost in tought he tries to reassure her this way.

* ParentalSubstitute: To Makina

* {{Determinator}}: There's nothing she wouldn't do to protect Yuuji. [[spoiler:In her bad end, that includes attacking a crazed gunman even after she's taken a shotgun blow to the stomach, and refusing to let go of the man even after she's been killed.]]

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Michiru likes to act pompous and bratty, but she secretly acts as TheHeart of the group and helps out Sachi on a lot of her requests to help her actually be able to manage all the things she’s asked to do. [[Spoiler:She's also known to demonstrate sincere kindness and concern for others in some routes, sometimes momentarily dropping the tsundere act to express her honest feelings.]]

* GenkiGirl: She is arguably the most energetic and random member of the cast, often exhausting or exasperating the others - and leaving them dumbstruck with her motor mouth when she doesn't]].

And again, after her HeadPet Meowmel was killed in an accident in her route, she tried to overdose herself with her own medicine, prompting Yuuji to save her via pressing her stomache to spit out the contents and getting Chizuru for aid.]]
