* GoLookAtTheDistraction: Misdirecting and baiting attempted goblin ambushes is a frequent gambit of his.

* HeroProtagonist: He's the main character and is actually closer to the HeroicArchetype than what the narration and the story may imply. Ironically he is "Choosen Heroine" personal Hero, since it was his actions (By virtue of being untouched by Fate) that saved her and her village from a Goblin Horde, while the rest of the Guild was busy with the Rock Eater. As of Volume Five he has defeated a new brand of Goblin that would have presented a very serious Threat to the World, had it been allowed to grow. And in Volume 8 he and his group stop the resurrection of he Demon Lord. And as a side note, his actions tend to support Choosen Heroine's own actions.

Power Walk has been renamed to Team Power Walk. The trope only applies to a group walking, not one person. So deleting.

* PowerWalk: Even more than the commentary about how cruddy his armor is, the light novel narration is obsessed with repeating its description of the way Goblin Slayer walks; almost every time Goblin Slayer enters a scene, he is described as having a "bold, nonchalant stride" while nonetheless stooping and coiling his muscles in perpetual readiness to lunge. And he walks like this ''everywhere'', even in town. More than once has he been mistaken for a street performer caricaturing an adventurer patrolling a dungeon, and even his friends internally laugh and admit he looks stupid doing it sometimes.

* CreateYourOwnHero: The goblins are notorious for taking no prisoners, yet they don't think about searching thoroughly for any survivors that escaped their immediate wrath. It just so happens that Goblin Slayer is one of those survivors and has now the bane of their very existence.

Adding example from Reputation Apathy.

Added DiffLines:

* ReputationApathy: Goblin Slayer is seen as a complete weirdo by other adventurers for his single-minded focus on goblins, a race seen as more of a nuisance than a threat that most adventurers see as beneath them, despite being a Silver Ranked Adventurer. Goblin Slayer couldn't care less about how he's seen by others because he's completely and utterly dedicated to slaughtering every last goblin he can get his hands on. Interestingly, he isn't completely disdained for his behavior. Certain characters, such as Guild Girl and Sword Maiden, hold him in high regard and are grateful for him dealing with a NotSoHarmlessVillain race that otherwise just gets ignored by those who can do something about them.

After all, he still serves the greater good by exterminating the ever present goblin menace.

* RevengeBeforeReason: Averted. Goblin Slayer's main goal during missions is to kill as many goblins as possible. At first, those who see him in action misunderstand this attitude, believing that he is more interested in killing the hideous creatures than saving their victims. However, the truth is that this is the best way to deal with goblins, because even if one goblin survives, it will come back stronger, wiser, and more dangerous, endangering even more lives. Because of this, those who work with Goblin Slayer quickly see his approach as reasonable.

The assumption he makes (and his party inexplicably accept) that the same people that enslaved her the first time would have abducted her the second time if it wasn't goblins is nonsensical, and his declaration that her trainer's death was unrelated to her circumstances [[spoiler: is later shown to be completely, abjectly wrong.]]

* GuileHero: Is shockingly sneaky in volume 14; when the Vikings demand the party perform a trial to earn their aid, he nominates Priestess to play a board game. When High Elf Archer pesters him why he didn't play, he says "she is a better adventurer". But Priestess can't win. However, she gets so caught up in replaying the game for fun that the Vikings agree to help anyway just over being so taken by her, which is what Goblin Slayer was counting on all along.
