* WhiteIsPure: As a little girl in life, Clervie was dressed entirely in white to symbolise her idealistic innocence and heroic desire to free the House of the Hearth from her mother's control. Notably, as she grew up and gradually became disillusioned by repeated failures, her dress [[SignificantWardrobeShift shifted to a black uniform coat with white shorts, though she still retained her white hairband]]. As a CuteGhostGirl, she returned in her childhood dress, indicating the innocence stemming from lost memories and lack of perception of how Peruere had reformed the House in the present.

* AmbiguouslyEvil: Discussed. Don Quijano, an ExcellentJudgeOfCharacter, is certain he is no scoundrel, to which Nana posits he may have redeemed himself and left the Fatui. Quijano also considers that Kerek may be both good and bad. The description of the Old Insignia seems to imply Nana's interpretation to be the most accurate.
->''"An insignia that marks the owner's identity. If it's been left here and no one thought to look for it for a long time, perhaps the owner didn't care about it very much."''\\\\

* EagerRookie: Perhaps a little ''too'' eager. He was so determined to prove himself worthy of his uniform that he showed up at the meeting point ''three days'' in advance, which he apparently spent thinking about the responses he'd give to the possible excuses his target would make to get out of paying. Except he ends up following the wrong person back to Petrichor while the actual one is still waiting for him in Bayda Harbor ready to make the transaction. Paimon even lampshades this once the misunderstandings are all cleared up.
* FailedASpotCheck: His conflict with Giustino would've been avoided had he bothered to remember the name of the person he was supposed to do business with and that said person was a woman. The Agent's only excuse when the Traveler and Paimon call him out on his blundering is that he was just following his handbook's advice about how people may try to lie about their identity as a way to weasel out of paying.
* OhCrap: His reaction upon discovering that he'd been chasing the wrong person, now having to hightail it back to Bayda Harbor to meet up with the real target.
* PoorCommunicationKills: He mistook Giustino for being the target due to overhearing him talk about the flute his father gave him. The Agent however was too eager and aggressive in his approach to give or listen to any explanations, which caused a confused Giustino to run away in fear and the misunderstandings between them to worsen.
