* CollegeIsHighSchoolPart2: Apparently lives life like this even into his sophomore year, given Tsu and Maqua still treat him the way Rio and Jefferson did Miles, though this could just be due to RuleOfFunny. It also makes for a sharp contrast with the other 19-year-old original members of the Funkin' Gang, as they've all already learned to "spread their wings" in the same span of relative time. That being said, that's not necessarily a good thing, as given the ''Across'' script, Aloe's [[spoiler:[[SugarApocalypse implied situation]] and its consequences]], and [[NoodleIncident whatever happened on Earth-623]], it's more that Salty had the ''mercy'' of ''not having to''.

* VagueAge: His post-TimeSkip age is ''a'' number above 19. While everyone else in the original Gang has the time progression in their world defined, Bunfriend's is expunged for unknown reasons.

* PlotRelevantAgeUp: While Salty and Gracie have only aged up by one year to 20 per the original ''Across'' script, the other four original members have grown up at faster rates due to now-concrete differences in timeflow.

** The "can you adopt me?" line to Jessica/Judith is given more weight when said by Girlfriend, as she was already kicked out by her parents as part of her backstory.

* TransTribulations: While Gwen's gender identity is left ambiguous and could possibly be just an AllegoricalCharacter for the trope, SNS Girlfriend's backstory plays it straight by being trans herself.

* TheParagon: With the exception of Bunfriend (whose absence in the ''Across'' script has kept his post-TimeSkip details vague), all of the original members had their fates irreversibly changed for the better through their heroism by meeting Salty (in contrast to only Peter B. and Gwen having significant impacts from Miles), [[spoiler:something that spits in the face of Cam's canon event theory considering their initial allegiance to the Society]].
** Brooke gets his life back together with Grace, re-marrying and having a child with him. [[spoiler:Cue the crisis of faith from the original ''Across'' script]].

* MortonsFork: The nature of their AdaptationalVillainy in relation to [[spoiler:enforcement of the canon. If he had turned to the side of good beforehand, he's an enemy of Uzi and N for having a defined purpose in allowing countless deaths to happen (unlike the DirtyCoward greater populace of Copper 9.) If he did ''not'', the above still applies, plus the fact that the blood on their hands is essentially complacency to the will of ''Murder Drones'''s own BigBad, the Absolute Solver]].

* AlternateSelf: Has one recorded counterpart in Kenji's world, who is a FallenAngel that is either a pyrokinetic or was casted out for pyromania. He was meant to encounter his world's Aloe eventually, [[InSpiteOfANail something that the main Tabi finds himself doing]].

* TheBabyOfTheBunch: While the same age as most Boyfriends, she's much shorter than them (at 4'11") and is technically a NaiveNewcomer as she's still trying to find her way in the music world. Of the members of the Gang who are still 19, she was also born the latest.

* AdaptationDeviation: While the use of ''VideoGame/{{Deltarune}}'' content was a one-off joke in the original ''[=HoloFunk=]'' story, ''Funkinverse'' makes its plot take a hard left by [[AscendedFridgeHorror leaning heavily into the implications]] of NEO's schematics existing as a consequence of said gags.

* BrokenFaceplate: Tabi, in the process of [[spoiler:dismantling the NEO suit beyond repair]], starts by punching Aloe in the face and breaking the Dealmaker in half. What's left of it is bent out of shape, with the yellow lens cracked.
