I dont know how the \"without Rapier\" argument works since Rapier is buyable pretty much everytime right after chapter 8, which means Marth always has acess to an effective weapon against 80% of the enemies in the game. Thats kind of like saying Sigurd without his Silver Sword is passable(which he is). That being said, the \"most uber\" part is indeed stupid. As for Falchion, it is actually weaker than Silver Sword in original, not to mention it is only effective against Medeus, and it has special effect of negating direct attack from non Manakete. Adding the Original Falchion\'s flaw would be okay, i assume.

The main reason he is good in Dark Dragon is because he has the Rapier, the Falchion, which is basically a Silver Sword with infinite uses and dragon busting, and exclusive access to the Mercurius. That\'s it. Without those he is only passible. Even with those, saying he is the most uber unit in the whole series, while not professional at all, is also laughable.

Putting asside how FE 1 Stats works rather different compared to other games, Stats does not matter when Marth can trivialize almost every boss in the game just by standing beside them. Or the fact that he has acess to Rapier which murdered 80% of the enemy in the game. Even then going by average stats, it was enough to solo most chapters in the game.

* AwesomeYetPractical: "Dark Dragon'' Marth is the only character who can wield the Rapier, a lightweight weapon with decent critical chance, and the only weapon in the game that is effective to both Cavalier and Armors that makes up roughtly 90% of the enemies in the game. Said Rapier is buyable pretty much everytime you need it starting from chapter 8 for a mere 900 Gold.
