A white mage who became one of Sakura's students in the present day in the Town of Sian. A very talented White Mage with high disposition and a taste for candies. Whenever she sees her master, she gives her delicious candies. This causes Sakura to fear her as this act makes the sage to [[IAmNotAChild look like a child]].

* BadassFamily: Yuri is the descendant of Kaede and Hayate, meaning she's also descended from Jiraiya and Chizuru, as well as the great-great- ''etc.'' grandniece of Miyuki, and all of them are either six- or seven-star max characters. In fact, Yuri has the most familial relations that are also visions in the game.

to:

* MistakenForThief: Well, kidnapper, but as he wasn't totally forthcoming at first as Loren was investigating who was kidnapping children, he was mistaken for the kidnapper at first. He manages to clear it up before long.
* RedHerring: Connected to the above, the story at first tries to cast suspicion on Roy, as to why this dark-clad individual is so keenly involved in the kidnapping affair (it turns out, because his younger sibling was one of the victims).

* DoomedByCanon: Her story event came out after it was revealed that Sacher was razed and that only Rain survived it. Unfortunately for her, that was not retconned in any way.

* FaceOfAThug: Part of why the attempt to frame her worked so well is that Diezell has a rough look and a natural scowl, so people tend to assume that she's constantly looking for fights and trouble. It comes up even before the frame job, and to hear her tell of it neither was the first time.
* FrameUp: The large part of her DayInTheLimelight is her being framed for murder, and her trying to escape so as to find the real guilty party. She implies that, while the situation this time is more extreme, this isn't the first time she's been framed for a crime.

to:

* SuperGullible: Not helping Diezell is that she's easily taken in by confidence tricksters. Her unit description says that she still to this day has a habit for falling for Maisie's lies.

* TheAtoner: Her guilt in how often she's put Diezell in a bad spot eventually catches up to her, and she ultimately returns to help out. [[spoiler: After meeting with Rain and finally sorting things out, she does work with Diezell well.]]
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Maisie has a soft, innocent face, which belies just how capable she is at lying... and she knows it. A good chunk of her story event involves her abusing this to screw over Diezell multiple times, even ''after'' Diezell knows what she's like. She's starting to get over it by the end of the event.
* CompulsiveLiar: It's not clear if she could stop even if she tried. About the best that can be said is that, by the end, she tries to make her lies to Diezell less damaging and owns up to them faster ([[TheGadfly if only to see Diezell's flustered reaction]]).

to:

* MultipleChoicePast: It's not clear if Maisie even tells the truth about her past in unit descriptions and awakening quotes.

Yet another side of her, however, shows just how obsessed she is with discovering how green magic can push the boundaries of the human body. [[folder:Original Summons]]
In addition to the characters above and all of the crossover characters, there are a large number of playable characters, summonable as Visions, who are completely unique to the setting of ''Brave Exvius'', and are detailed below. While there are many directly story-relevant characters who can be summoned as well, tropes for them should go in their entries above.

!Tropes associated with all of them:
----
* LateArrivalSpoiler: Some of the summons are characters that Rain's party will encounter, like Luka, Charlotte and [[spoiler: Dark Fina]].
* OriginalGeneration: They are the original characters of ''Brave Exvius''.
* PosthumousCharacter: Most of them are heroes/villains in the history of the world of ''Brave Exvius''. [[spoiler:A decent number of the later ones are still alive, though.]]
* RegionalBonus: As noted on the main page, some of these folks are exclusive to the Global version. Some of them even seem to have event or story hooks.
* WalkingSpoiler: [[ZigZaggedTrope Zig-zagged]] - some of the original summons that are also part of the story do explicitly mention certain plotline details (including the deaths of the characters in question [[spoiler: Elle in particular is a bad offender]]), but some [[spoiler: such as Shera]] avoid revealing major plot points.

!Artemios
A self-trained archer whose skill at hunting led others to hiring him as a hitman. And he became exceptionally good at it.
----
* ColdSniper: As he was hired for more and more jobs, he became more jaded and emotionally distant.
* GlassCannon: He can dish out plenty of damage (in fact, when the game first launched, he was in the running for most powerful non-magic user), but he has almost no durability.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Whichever nameless person who had the bright idea to start hiring Artemios for assassination jobs wanted to see if he'd be just as good at hunting people as he was hunting animals. Not only was he just as good, but he grew to like it way too much.
* HuntingTheMostDangerousGame: At first, taking assassination jobs was just for money, but he soon grew to love killing people and started doing it for fun.
* SerialKiller: By the end, Artemios was just hunting people for sport.
* SpamAttack: He was one of the first characters to get the Barrage attack, and still one of the easiest who learn it to acquire.
* SoLastSeason: Perhaps poster child for this within the game. Once upon a time, he was one of the most formidable units that could be fielded. Between having a nigh-useless [[LevelUpAtIntimacy5 Trust Master Reward]], the sheer number of units that manage to beat him in raw stats, abilities learned, and equipment worn all at once, and the fact that he was completely ignored by both ability awakening and the launch of six-star levels of power, Artemios would only have use in a new player's team if nothing better has been summoned yet.

!Medius
A gunner who creates powerful technology to combat brute force and magic, but is seen as a threat to people.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: He can become 6 Star unit in the Global version despite being stuck as 5 Star in Japanese version.
* CoolGun: He uses this as his main weapon.
* CoolHat: He starts bareheaded, but he gets a sweet gold-trimmed purple tricorne upon awakening.
* CriticalHitClass: Has a passive ability that increases CriticalHit chances.
* DrawAggro: He gains the ability to Draw Attacks - but given [[GlassCannon his low hit points and defenses]], it's more of a drawback than anything else.
* DualWielding: A zig-zagged version, it seems to be the case in his sprite, [[GameplayAndStorySegregation but he can't learn it naturally]] but then played straight by awakening his Gun Master ability.
* ExperienceBooster: His Trust Master reward doubles the experience of whoever has it equipped.
* GadgeteerGenius: He creates his own weapon and is seen as a genius, [[TooPowerfulToLive but it also causes his downfall]].
* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: See that note under TooPowerfulToLive? That's why he gets DrawAggro - he's a marked man by ''everyone'', even monsters, because of his discovery of guns.
* GlassCannon: His defense and HP are rather low, but he has really high attack power when equipped with a gun.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: "The Phantom Blueprint" reveals that this was Medius' fate, being shot to death by someone using one of his own guns. It's even called "The Tragedy of Medius" in the game's present day.
* TooPowerfulToLive: His invention is considered way ahead of his time, so he is seen as a threat and a fugitive.

!Chizuru
An honorable Samurai who has great pride and was devoted to her master. She was the mother of Hayate and Miyuki, and the wife of Jiraiya.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: In the Global version, while it's easy to infer (via the unit descriptions at higher-level awakenings) that she's the mother of Hayate and Miyuki (and the wife of Jiraiya), it's only explicitly stated in the limited-time Way of the Warrior story event.
* BadassFamily: She's the wife of a 5-star base summon, mother of two others powerful enough to become summons themselves, and both of her children can max out at six stars with powerful equipment as Trust Master rewards in their own right. Further, one of her distant descendants (Yuri) is another 6-star max ninja with a decent Trust Master Reward.

* SpamAttack: Learns Barrage, which is her strongest attack option prior to awakening to six-star status.
* StandardStatusEffects: She can paralyze foes with Blade Bash, and she's one of the exceedingly few characters that can use Stop with Dismissal - as a bonus, she's one of the very few who can do it outside of a LimitBreak.

A ninja who served Queen Kaede in times prior to Pharm's founding. He is the father of Hayate and Miyuki, and the husband of Chizuru.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: In the Global version, while it's easy to infer (via the unit descriptions at higher-level awakenings) that he's the father of Hayate and Miyuki (and the husband of Chizuru), it's never explicitly stated anywhere outside of the limited-time Way of the Warrior story event.
* BadassFamily: He's the husband of a 4-star base, father of two others powerful enough to become summons themselves, and both of his children can max out at six stars with powerful equipment as Trust Master rewards in their own right. His distant descendant is also in the summon pool, also with a solid Trust Master Reward
* DualWield: His Trust Master Reward is a limited version, which provides a large attack buff along with the ability to use two katanas at once.
%%* Expy: He seems to be an Expy of the character of the same name from ''Anime/{{Naruto}}''.
* GlassCannon: His HP and defence are low for a [[InfinityPlusOneSword 6-Star Unit]], but his attack and magic is very high.
* HerdHittingAttack: As a ninja, he has a plethora of scrolls that can hit multiple foes along with causing status ailments.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: His main weapon, although he's outright encouraged to use Dual Wield. His version of Blade Mastery also gives 50% MAG.
* TheStoic: He doesn't emote at all, even worse in this regard than his wife Chizuru. [[spoiler: This leads to festering resentment that an enemy ninja was able to exploit in order to bring down Kaede's fiefdom.]]
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Jiraya is very similar in appearance to Hayate, down to having similar stances.
* UndyingLoyalty: He's like this to his master, Kaede. [[spoiler: To the point that he sacrifices himself to stop his daughter Miyuki, then under mind control, from killing Kaede.]]
