----
* AboveGoodAndEvil: In its brief screentime, Rose as the Bad Wolf entity [[AGodAmI declares herself]] to be utterly beyond all mortal concepts in response to the Doctor's claim that she cannot control life and death.
-->'''Bad Wolf:''' But I can. The Sun and the Moon. The day and night.
* AlwaysABiggerFish: Bad Wolf is the bigger fish to the Daleks. She outright belittles the Dalek Emperor as "tiny" and a [[PretenderDiss "false god"]] before demonstrating her complete superiority by disintegrating him and his entire fleet.
* ArcWords: Provides its own name, Bad Wolf, as the show's most famous example of this trope throughout Series 1. The phrase 'Bad Wolf' even continues to appear, albeit more scantily, throughout Russell T. Davies' tenure as lead writer.
* DeusExMachina: Quite literally a god out of the machine. The Bad Wolf entity possesses Rose after Mickey's truck breaks open the TARDIS console, allowing Rose to become a PhysicalGod and arrive at the Game Station just in time to save the Doctor from the Daleks.
* HumanoidAbomination: As a result of looking into and absorbing the Time Vortex, Rose is temporarily turned into a PhysicalGod. She still looks her herself, but with golden energy frequently radiating in her eyes as the entirety of spacetime is open to her, power is positively ''pouring'' off of her every second she's the Bad Wolf, even her voice [[VoiceOfTheLegion reverberates]], and she has what looks like evaporated tear-stains to indicate the power is burning her up.
* OffhandBackhand: Nonchalantly deflects a Dalek's death ray, which had previously been shown to kill anything it hits.
* OneHitKill: Offers the Daleks a taste of their own medicine by annihilating them at a subatomic level one at a time.
* OutsideContextProblem: She is definitely one for the Daleks, who could not possibly have anticipated her arrival. The Dalek Emperor, [[AGodAmI for all his god complex]], outright claims that she is not part of "his design" when the Doctor questions how the Bad Wolf meme could be connected to him.
* PowerIncontinence: Rose's fragile human body can only contain the Time Vortex's enormous power for a few minutes before it starts tearing her apart. She makes sure to use it to the fullest extent while she has the time.
* PhysicalGod: Bad Wolf is by far one of the most powerful, destructive entities in the ''Doctor Who'' universe, capable of effortlessly resurrecting the dead and atomising an entire Dalek fleet. It's a good stroke that she's on the Doctor's side.
* StableTimeLoop: A rather convoluted one. The Bad Wolf scatters its name throughout the universe to points in the Ninth Doctor and Rose's timestream specifically as a message to lead herself to the Game Station and come into existence. Although whether the entity always intended to call itself 'Bad Wolf', or was merely inspired by the Bad Wolf Corporation (which is where the Doctor starts to take serious notice of [[ArcWords the words' omnipresence]]) is up to interpretation.
* StoryBreakerPower: Prior to Bad Wolf's arrival, Earth is in the process of being carpet-bombed into unrecognisability, the entire population of the Game Station is dead, and the Doctor is forced to make a SadisticChoice that risks killing every living thing in the solar system. Then the TARDIS lands, and Bad Wolf uses her godlike powers to erase the threat of the Daleks within seconds of stepping foot on the satellite. Understandably, she does not stick around for long.
* TranshumanAbomination: A temporary one. She's the result of a human looking directly into the Time Vortex, turning Rose into a PhysicalGod who has the raw power of spacetime running through her head, at the price of the full power threatening to burn her away until the Doctor removes it.

Moving Cassandra’s tropes to her own folder as per thread as they apply to Cassandra and Roses body is merely a vessel

[[folder:Tropes when possessed by Cassandra ("New Earth")]]
* AbsoluteXenophobe: Downplayed. Cassandra's eugenicist views mean she still sees herself as [[LastOfHerKind "the Last Human"]], even while in Rose's body. But she's also shown to have a soft spot for her servant Chip despite him being a force-grown clone with a "half-life", and later develops similar feelings towards the Flesh, so this actually gets subverted and deconstructed during the episode. Through her possession of Rose and acceptance of the Flesh as a new form of life, Cassandra eventually understands that there's more that defines people besides superficial looks and that it's time for her to move on.
* AntiHero: She initially takes on the role of a nasty [[FemmeFatale Femme Fatale]], seeking to uncover the secrets of the cat-nuns for her own ends, but later ends up helping the Doctor save the Flesh (albeit only [[NominalHero due to the circumstances]]), causing her to mellow out into something akin to a Disney anti-heroine, until Cassandra decides to leave her body for good and Rose goes back to [[TheHeart her usual self.]]
* AppearanceAngst: Zig-zagged. While she's initially dismayed on first seeing Rose's reflection in the mirror and grouses that she "could do with a little work", these remarks stem more from Cassandra's classist hatred than anything else, and it's later shown that she clearly enjoys being in Rose's body.
* AttentionWhore: Of the histrionic kind. Most of Cassandra's escapades while in Rose's body involve her drawing attention to her looks and showing off her figure.
* BeautyIsBest: Cassandra holds the materialist view that people's looks define who they are.
* BelligerentSexualTension: With the Doctor. She literally leaves him to die in one of the most gruesome ways possible, mere moments after making out with him!
* BenevolentBoss: To Chip, whose loyalty she clearly values. Cassandra does later abandon him when the Flesh breaks out, but this is more of a case of her being a DirtyCoward more than anything else, and she's later glad that he survived.
* BestServedCold: Part of the reason why Cassandra chooses her as a host is because she knows Rose would be horrified at the idea of becoming someone like her...
* BigBreastPride: Subverted. Rose spends a large portion of the episode with her cleavage exposed and [[TheTease exploits her chest to steal a kiss from the Doctor]], but only because she is [[GrandTheftMe under the influence of Cassandra]]. While Rose can occasionally be vain when it comes to her looks, she is [[ReluctantFanserviceGirl nowhere near as vain]] as the [[SocialDarwinist eugenic-supremacist Cassandra]].
* BriefAccentImitation:
** Cassandra briefly adopts a [[GratuitousFrench French accent]] as she agrees with Chip's assessment of her newfound beauty ("''Absolument!''"). She then answers a phone call from the Doctor with a laughably unconvincing imitation of BritishEnglish/CockneyRhymingSlang as she attempts to pass herself as Rose:
-->'''Rose!Cassandra''' [''in an undertone'']: How does she speak?\\
'''Chip''' [''in an undertone'']: Old Earth, Cockney.\\
'''Rose!Cassandra''' [''imitating Rose'']: Um...wotcha?\\
'''The Doctor''': Where've you been? How long does it take to get to Ward 26?\\
'''Rose!Cassandra''' [''imitating Rose'']: I'm on my way, guvnor. I shall proceed up the apples and pears!\\
'''The Doctor''': You'll never guess. I'm with the Face of Boe! Remember him?\\
'''Rose!Cassandra''' [''forced laugh'']: Of course I do! That big old...boat race.
** Though the Doctor doesn't pay much attention to such colourful phrases over the phone, he's later startled to hear her say "I can't Adam and Eve it" in person.
* CharacterTics: She utters Cassandra's signature "Moisturise me" after the psychograft transfer, letting the audience know that Cassandra has successfully implanted her personality inside Rose and taken control of her body.
** She then develops a habit of constantly touching herself: playing with Rose's blonde hair, her lips, crossing her arms and fingering her collarbone, as if Cassandra [[DistractedByMyOwnSexy can't believe she has a real, physical human body again.]]
* CurvesInAllTheRightPlaces: Cassandra quickly changes her mind about the idea of being [[LowerClassLout a chav]] once she has the chance to get a closer look at Rose's figure and [[BigBreastPride check out the merchandise.]]
* DarkerAndEdgier: Rose was supposed to display a growing level of confidence at the beginning of the episode and [[FusionDance Rose/Cassandra]] is this to her [[LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine when it comes to femininity, personality and even clothing.]] Even when it comes to her affection towards the Doctor, she is still the same on the inside but taken over by [[VillainousCrush Cassandra's egotism and murderous intent.]]
* DeathOfPersonality: Played with. Rose's consciousness is still tucked away inside her mind and while it's suggested she influences Cassandra emotionally somewhat while possessed, Cassandra's personality is the dominant one. It's also mentioned in the episode that the effects of the psychograft are "compressing Rose to death", implying that Rose's persona would've eventually been completely replaced by Cassandra, leaving her as an [[EmptyShell Empty Shell]] of herself.
* DistractedByMyOwnSexy: The [[FusionDance Cassandra-possessed version of herself]] is rather pleased with her new [[BigBreastPride "bouncy castle"]] and [[MaleGaze "nice rear bumper"]], and spends some time admiring her curves in front of the mirror.
* EnemyWithin: Cassandra's method of possession works like this. Rose is fully conscious of what's going on, but her persona is slowly being suppressed by the effects of the psychograft and would have been completely assimilated by Cassandra's personality eventually.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: While Cassandra is willing to dispose of Rose once she finds a "younger and less common" host to inhabit, Rose's rare breed of [[FantasticRacism "pure" human stock]] is one of the reasons she possessed her body in the first place. Her first reaction upon seeing the diseased human experiments in Intensive Care is a fear of getting infected, and her only concern thereafter as long as Rose remains her host is to stay alive.
* EveryoneLovesBlondes: Part of the reason why Cassandra chooses Rose as a vessel is because she is thrilled at the idea of becoming a blonde again. The possessed Rose later spends a significant amount of time [[DistractedByMyOwnSexy admiring her blonde hair]].
* EvilBrit: Complete with a [[AbsoluteXenophobe haughty disdain towards everyone else]] and a posh accent when she is under Cassandra's influence. This is, ironically, much closer to Billie Piper's own accent.
* EvilCostumeSwitch: Cassandra tarts her up as a vainer, sultrier version of herself. She unzips and later discards Rose's blue track jacket, fluffs out her hair to resemble Creator/ZoeWanamaker and pops the topmost buttons of her purple low-cut shirt to reveal a lot more cleavage than before.
** In her portrayal of Rose's scenes as Cassandra, Creator/BilliePiper wears a darker-coloured lipstick and accentuates her shape with a padded Wonderbra to go with the character's haughtiness and strutting.
* EvilCounterpart: The honest, kind-hearted Rose, whose relationship with the Doctor is based on trust, becomes a scheming and manipulative [[FemmeFatale Femme Fatale]] out for her own gain; unafraid to act on her (physical) feelings towards the Doctor and [[SocialDarwinist openly callous towards other life-forms.]]
* EvilGenius: After being possessed, she gains Cassandra's millennia of experience and knowledge so that it boosts her already impressive street smarts and detective instincts, allowing her to figure out the secret of the cat nuns in no time at all and even keeping up with the Doctor's own computer smarts.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Her voice gets significantly deeper after Cassandra's possession, gaining [[EvilBrit her Posh accent too.]]
* FanservicePack: Gets an "upgrade" while under Cassandra's spell, showing [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl much more skin than usual,]] and fully [[ProudBeauty embracing her sexuality.]]
* FemmeFatale: Cassandra takes advantage of Rose's looks in an attempt to seduce the Doctor while helping him figure out the secret of the cat-nuns for her own ends, before turning on him in classic, FilmNoir fashion.
* FetishizedAbuser: Downplayed, but Rose is forced into the role due to Cassandra's control, aggressively taking the initiative when it comes to helping the Doctor discover the secrets of the hospital as a much more [[TheTease sexually-charged version of herself.]] The Doctor picks up on Rose's change of personality quite early on, but goes along with her ruse until [[LackOfEmpathy her disturbing apathy]] confirms his suspicions.
* {{Foil}}: To her usual self. Cassandra and Rose are complete opposites to each other.
** [[FusionDance Cassandra/Rose]] is also this to trampoline! Cassandra. While she was more likely to act in an [[EvilIsHammy over the top fashion in her original skin,]] she instead acts in a [[IceQueen more refined and aloof fashion while possessing Rose,]] maybe as a way of coping with her ressentment towards Rose and her new body.
* FusionDance : A dark example. While Cassandra becomes the dominant personality, she is still influenced by Rose emotionally, claiming It's "Hormone Season" inside her head, and being able to access her memories as well. This implied to be the reason why Cassandra kisses the Doctor after meeting, perhaps gaining some of Rose's personality traits after possessing her, including her crush on the Doctor.
* HotterAndSexier: She becomes [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl this]] when compared to her normal self.
* GoodHairEvilHair: Her blonde hair is noticeably more disheveled in her first scenes as Cassandra, who fluffs out it out into a more seductively-volumed style obviously intended to evoke Creator/ZoeWanamaker's. Although it appears to revert to Rose's usual sleek hairstyle later on, Cassandra's constantly touching and fiddling with it afterwards, obviously because it's been so long since she's had hair.
* GoSeduceMyArchNemesis: [[PlayedForLaughs Played For Laughs]] when it comes to Cassandra's scheme, since she uses Rose's appearance to flirt with the Doctor, [[DistractedByTheSexy to distract him from her plans.]]
* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: Cassandra discards Rose's [[TrueBlueFemininity blue zip-up jacket]] for the purple shirt she wears underneath, which she also unbuttons to reveal her cleavage, signifying her drastic change in personality into a dark and sultry [[FemmeFatale Femme Fatale.]] She also has (literally) [[GrandTheftMe the spirit of a noblewoman.]]
* {{Hypocrite}}: Accuses the Doctor of being one after she reads Rose's surface memories and learns he changed his face, chalking it down to some of the MagicPlasticSurgery he called her out on in the past. For [[{{Irony}} extra irony,]] she [[DirtyOldWoman becomes drunk on her own self-image]] after possessing Rose herself, the person she previously ridiculed as indecent.
* IceQueen: She tends to be aloof and refined most of the time, focusing on her own goals and is a dangerous [[FemmeFatale Femme Fatale]] as well. This apathy of hers is one of the main reasons why the Doctor figures out Cassandra's ruse.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: While she is initially a danger to the Doctor and comes close to completing her goals, Cassandra's role as a villain is downplayed compared to the cat-nuns and her worst traits are PlayedForLaughs. The idea of playing an old, posh Zoe Wanamaker inside Billie Piper's younger, more heroic character means she gets to provide most of the fanservice, acting as a [[SexierAlterEgo sexier,]] evil [[EnemyWithin alter-ego]] to Rose.
* {{Irony}}: When confronting Cassandra, Rose makes a sarcastic comment about the way Cassandra has obtained her new flesh. Shortly afterwards Cassandra outsmarts her and Rose herself [[GrandTheftMe ends up becoming Cassandra's new flesh.]] The irony [[BestServedCold is not lost on Cassandra,]] who takes her time to [[ShowingOffTheNewBody study her new acquisitions]] and later gives the Doctor [[DirtyOldWoman the snog of his life.]]
* {{Jerkass}}: Not even [[TheHeart Rose's influence]] can affect Cassandra's personality issues for the better... If anything, she is haughtier than before now that she is out of her trampoline skin and inside [[ProudBeauty a young body of her liking.]] Although she does [[BenevolentBoss have a soft spot for her servant Chip]].
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She significantly mellows out after helping and witnessing the Doctor save the infected humans of the hospital, seeing the error of her twisted ways.
* LackOfEmpathy: One of the most drastic changes in Rose's personality under Cassandra's influence is her complete apathy towards the suffering of the Sisterhood's human lab-rats, which causes the Doctor to question whether the cat-nuns did something to her mind.
* LargeHam: Mostly averted, most of her reactions are justified and Cassandra behaves in a rather refined fashion when possessing Rose, perhaps as a way of coping with [[PrincessInRags her resentment towards Rose and her self-image.]]
* LastOfHerKind: Unlike Rose, Cassandra sees herself as the last "pure" human with no regard towards others. Since she still believes this while possessing Rose, it could be read as Cassandra [[VillainRespect recognizing her]] as [[SocialDarwinist her only equal.]]
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: Rose is the Light Feminine to Cassandra's Dark Feminine, embodying the traits of a posh and seductive noblewoman.
* LowerClassLout: Her working-class background becomes a particular sore spot for Cassandra's snobbery once she possesses her. Not only does she denigrate Rose as a "chav" and bewail her new status as going "from class to brass", she also adopts a stereotypical Cockney accent in a lousy attempt to impersonate her and later considers finding someone "less common" to use as a host.
* LustObject: Cassandra ends up idealizing her like this, disparaging Rose as a person but valuing her looks and pure human stock.
* MakeupWeapon: Chip provides her with a knock-out perfume spray to use on the Doctor, with [[InstantSedation instant results]]. Cassandra naughtily stashes it [[VictoriasSecretCompartment in Rose's décolletage]].
* MaleGaze:
** There's a lingering medium close-up of her stuffing poisonous perfume down her shirt and wincing pleasurably as she [[VictoriasSecretCompartment hides it between her breasts]].
** She comments on Rose's "nice rear bumper" while checking out her butt.
* NotRightInTheBed: The Doctor notices "Rose's" sultry change in personality right away but this gets averted once Cassandra/Rose kisses him, since he believes that it was a result of his new looks...
* OlderThanTheyLook: Interestingly subverted. She is physically only around 20 years old, but is mentally billions of years old.
* TheOneThingIDontHateAboutYou: Cassandra feels this way towards Rose, at first possessing her mostly out of a desire for revenge, but she ends up [[VillainRespect grudging admiring Rose's beauty,]] taking [[DirtyOldWoman great pleasure]] in [[BigBreastPride flaunting her new assets]] and [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl showing off her new appeal.]]
* ThrillSeeker: Cassandra is portrayed as something like an adrenaline-junkie, choosing to side with the Doctor despite the danger of being exposed, smirking in excitement once she finds the secret room of the nuns and she even seems to enjoy her role as the Doctor's companion, not even bothering to reveal her facade until her cover is blown.
* PetTheDog: Despite [[SocialDarwinist her superiority complex,]] she is rather fond of Chip, allowing some of his perverted approaches (like letting him watch as she [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl removes an outer layer of Rose's clothing and fondles herself]]) and [[CultOfPersonality worship to her persona,]] even agreeing with some of his comments about her attractive new appearance.
** She can be seen smiling after the Sisterhood's "Flesh" are cured, and appears to (reluctantly) agree with the Doctor's claim that they are a valid new form of life she can no longer deny, since she helped create them.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: [[PlayedForLaughs Played For Laughs]] in the episode. When [[GrandTheftMe possessed by Cassandra,]] Rose's kind-hearted nature is replaced by Cassandra's vain, haughty, bigoted attitudes. These include her [[FantasticRacism obsession with blood purity]], looking down on [[AbsoluteXenophobe everybody else as "mutant stock"]]; her own internalised misogyny and materialist fixation on [[ProudBeauty good looks,]] and her classist resentment of Rose's working-class background.
* PlasticBitch: Believing the Doctor's changed appearance to be the result of MagicPlasticSurgery, Cassandra ponders getting some herself, mentioning Rose's body "could do with a bit of work". She is, however, rather enamoured of her "rear bumper".
* PrimpOfContempt: She spends an entire scene checking out her nails rather than listen to the Doctor have a talk with the Face of Boe.
* PrincessInRags: Subverted and [[PlayedForLaughs Played For Laughs]]. Rose gains all of the mannerisms of the trope when she's possessed by Cassandra, behaving in a haughty and more sophisticated fashion despite her modest background. As Cassandra might put it: "From [[LowerClassLout brass]] to [[RichBitch class".]]
* ProudBeauty: Exploited in a much [[DarkerAndEdgier darker fashion once she gets possessed,]] since Cassandra becomes so haughty about her looks, which reflects her [[AbsoluteXenophobe prejudiced outlook.]]
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Doesn't shy away from exposing her figure once Cassandra takes control. Also the only time Rose embraces this trope.
* SensibleHeroesSkimpyVillains: Not only is her outfit much more revealing now, but due to Creator/BilliePiper's choice of clothes and makeup, it makes it look like Cassandra's influence somehow made Rose's body more prepossessing...
* SocialDarwinist: Unlike Rose, Cassandra has supremacist and xenophobic ideals, sees herself as [[LastOfHerKind the last "pure" human]] and [[LowerClassLout resents her host's lower-class background.]]
* SupermodelStrut: Cassandra adds a sultry sway to her hips when she rejoins the Doctor in the hospital, just to feed her narcissistic need for attention.
* TechnoBabble: Faced with an advanced computer terminal billions of years removed from Rose's time, Cassandra suggests "searching the subframe" and "trying the installation protocol", which deepens the Doctor's suspicions about his companion's odd behaviour.
* TechnoWizard: Unlike Rose, Cassandra's knowledge about computer systems is on par with the Doctor's, allowing her to point out the way to reach the secret Intensive Care ward.
* TheTease: In contrast to Rose's usual self, Cassandra isn't above having a little fun and using her looks to manipulate the Doctor.
* TheVamp: And how. She becomes a very nasty [[FemmeFatale Femme Fatale]], trying to kill the Doctor after making out and taking advantage of him.
* VictoriasSecretCompartment: She hides a noxious aerosol spray in her cleavage to overpower the Doctor with.
* VillainousCrush: Rose's feelings are apparently so intense that Cassandra can't help herself while in her body, and gives the Doctor an enthusiastic kiss once she meets him in person.
* VillainRespect: She recognizes the Doctor's intellect and insists on working with him in order to uncover the cat-nuns' secrets.
** As snobby as Cassandra may act towards Rose for her humble background she has to acknowledge her value as a "pure-blood" that she can inhabit. [[AbsoluteXenophobe Not anyone gets to be her new flesh.]] Rose is such a rare breed that Cassandra thinks it was destiny that got them together again, [[BestServedCold since she can get her revenge on Rose]] and regain her youth as well.
* WickedCultured: Played with. Though the Cassandra-version of Rose displays a lot more technical know-how, she doesn't recognize Rose's 21st-century Nokia mobile phone and has to be told by Chip that it's a "primitive communications device" rather than Rose's bum having its own personal ringtone.
* {{Yandere}}: An interesting take on the trope, since what remains of Rose's personality seems to still be love-struck with the Doctor, while Cassandra herself wants to kill him for revenge. She is also more pretty and haughty about it than "cute".

* MaleGaze:

!!Tropes associated with ''Empire of the Wolf'' Rose Tyler
The Bad Wolf Crisis had certain effects on Rose Tyler, a few of which she never knew until it was too late. The most important of these was the accidental creation of a paradox duplicate, who went on to become the [[PuppetKing puppet]] Bad Wolf Empress for an empire that should have never existed.

* ADayInTheLimelight: She and the original Rose starred in the ''Empire of the Wolf'' comic arc alongside Eleven and Eight.
* AlternateSelf: She was created due to the lingering effects of Rose's actions during ''[[Recap/DoctorWhoS27E13ThePartingOfTheWays The Parting of the Ways]]''.
* QuestForIdentity: Her problems stem from this. Despite her massive power, due to her ability to see other pasts, she has always lived in the shadow of other Roses.
* RippleEffectProofMemory: She has a crude one, allowing him to see the past of several alternate Roses, including the original.
* SenselessSacrifice: For all her power, she is only devoted to helping others... to the point ''the Doctor'' genuinely asks when it's supposed to end.

She previously viewed Rose as a "mongrel" so she didnt really view her as "pure" only taking her body as a trap. And a the "Trojan Horse" example really doesnt fit as well as previous example " Go seduce my nemesis " already covered

* TrojanHorse: She gets used in this fashion by [[MeaningfulName Cassandra]] when possessed, with [[FanservicePack Cassandra objectifying her looks]] in order to [[FemmeFatale seduce the Doctor.]]
* VainSorceress: Cassandra is a sci-fi counterpart. Her knowledge of technology can be seen as a parallel to her dwelling in dark magic, and she is obsessed with body purity and beauty (causing her to develop an interest in Rose), so she is a mix of this and TheSocialDarwinist.
