** Later they, Reynn and Lann, and Palom all discuss what it's like to be a brother-sister twin duo. This becomes the main reason why Palom is their Force Partner, with Yuri being the primary attacker and both Yuri and Palom being the male half of a set of twins who are often on the more playful and immature side (although both do also mature considerably as they grow older).

* GoodIsNotNice: Jack Garland is not evil as he wants to see the Light flourish in his world. That being said, he doesn't really care at all about any world that isn't his own and looks down on the other heroes so long as their inner 'Light' is not up to his standards. He is also very quick to insult them (especially Onion Knight) if he finds them lacking.

* MySignificanceSenseIsTingling: Astos senses the arrival of Selh'teus in the world, and he is seemingly the only person aside from villains like the Zilart brothers, Xande, and Exdeath to do so. He chooses to go investigate on his own without Jack and Neon because the sudden arrival feels like a third crystal pillar of the world.

** Similarly, he takes an interest in Selh'teus and is the first person to sense the latter's presence in the world due to his own connection to dark crystals. Going to investigate the appearance of a force potentially as strong as the crystals is enough to get him to even leave Jack's side. When he meets Selh'teus, the two connect over their desire to befriend their comrades, and he is able to read Selh'teus so well that the latter wonders if Astos is a mind reader like the Zilart.

* WillfullyWeak: Enna makes it known she is a god, and as such, in spite of the fact she is already a powerful DPS unit, could be ''a lot'' more powerful if she wanted to be ... however, she does not want Lann and Reynn to grow overly dependant on her so she purposely holds back in battle, blaming it on 'playing by the rules of the world'. She even decides to limit her travel to the airship or torsions that everyone else uses, despite the fact she seems capable of teleporting at will.

Her Burst buff adds an even stronger version of her damage-rounding mechanic by rounding up all the HP damage the party deals to the nearest hundred thousand (100001 becomes 200000 and 200001 becomes 300000, for example).

* AxCrazy: After using her EX, Queen's HP drops down to 1 as she goes into a LaughingMad fit, losing the capacity to use any of her abilities, and instead uses quick and brutal upgraded versions of her BRV and HP Attacks. This also extends to her Burst buff and Force Time: both of them heavily focus on using BRV and HP attacks instead of skills, and with both of them active at the same time, doing so will increase their HP damage and HP damage cap by +50% for the Burst buff and +50% for the Force Time, as well as increasing the Force multiplier by +100% if the BRV or HP attack also deals melee BRV damage, by far the largest increase out of any character in the game. However, since Queen is unable to use any abilities with her EX overhead active which the Burst buff also grants her, this can make her inconvenient to use if you want to use her Echo ASAP.

At first when Kefka steals this power from the dark elf Astos isn't too bothered, until Caius and Neon both argue that even the darkness and hate in Astos's heart is as important as the memories he holds dear for Jack, Neon, and his friends.
