* IAmNotLeftHanded: Her unique skill Higanryuu Retsugou[[labelnote:*]] Literally "Higan Style Violent Roaring", though the second part has the added benefit of sounding like "[[BringIt Let's Go]]".[[/labelnote]]temporarily amplifies her stats to offset her Evility and allows the use of Sword skills. [[spoiler: She stops holding back for real halfway through Chapter 12.]]

* SuperSpeed: While her Divine Weapon is active she is capable of acting twice a turn. When making use of [[LimitBreak Higanryuuougi Retsukazetsushou]] [[FasterThanLightTravel she move so quickly time seems to stop behind her, with even the lightning left in her wake being frozen in place]] before it all explodes at once at the end of the attack.

* CrutchCharacter: Higan joins up at level 40 when you're intended to be around level 20, with an S rank and 50 levels in Sword Mastery and a B rank with 20 levels in Spear Mastery giving her a wide variety of skills at her disposal and a decent statistical advantage over your other characters. While nothing's stopping a player from raising her up just as much, she's a bit hindered by her Evility, which reduces her stats by 25% and locks her out of using Swords, meaning any character that grinds a bit in the Item World to catch up to her in levels is likely to outclass her. [[spoiler: She drops this Evility in favor of another that instead cuts damage from Monster type units in half, while also gaining a second that adds an additional 2 spaces to her reach and 5 counter attacks while equipped with a spear.]]

* RedBaron: Zesshousai is a title given to Hinomoto's greatest swordsman. The current holder is Higan, and some characters refer to her exclusively with both name and title as a show of respect.

* BeyondRedemption: Faced with any other horrible person, Pirilika can find some reason that they ended up that way and hold hope for them. She sees nothing but pure evil looking at Canonline, and outright declares her intent to kill the woman.

* GoodHurtsEvil: Not unlike [[VideoGame/DisgaeaHourOfDarkness Laharl]] and his revulsion to anything involving love, Fuji does not do well with ''anything'' involving goodness due to having an allergy toward them. Charity, mercy, love, any of that and more will have him vomiting blood in pain. Even healing him audibly causes him pain, [[GameplayAndStorySegregation though for gameplay reasons it still does heal him]]. [[spoiler: Unlike Laharl, his condition is quite serious. It's not an allergy like he claims, he's cursed so that these things quite literally will kill him if left unchecked and acts like a jerk to everyone specifically to keep living long enough to kill Opener.]]

* AllLovingHero: It doesn't matter who it is nor what they do, Pirilika '''knows''' there's a good reason for what they've done and hopes to get them back on the right track. Even genocide isn't completely unforgivable, given that death isn't the end of a person in Disgaea so much as a minor inconvenience before reincarnation. [[spoiler: Canonline is the first person she can't find something good about, viewing her as pure evil, after she [[DeaderThanDead destroys The Again's soul]], along with the souls of everyone else that was in his Shirofune body. [[ItsPersonalWithTheDragon She hates her so much that she tells Fuji to stand down so she can kill Canonline herself]].]]

* AssShove: Apparently a preferred tactic of hers. Just ask [[spoiler: Crimson Dark]], he'd be able to tell you all about it if he wasn't dead. She almost does it to Weiyasu too were it not for Pirilika's timely intervention with pancakes.

* DroppingTheBombshell: While declaring her intent to [[spoiler: personally kill Canonline]], and her frustration with the army of Shirofune getting in the way, she lets it slip that [[spoiler: Canonline is her mother. The group finally realizes she's not just some airheaded otaku tourist, she came to Hinomoto to stop her mother's atrocities without realizing the full scope of them.]]

* EvilMatriarch: One of the first things she says after being introduced is that she wouldn't even hesitate to kill her own child if they opposed her. Considering she actively commits genocide on the people of Hinomoto to produce living weapons, that's unlikely to be a bluff.

* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler: Just as Higan's speech starts getting through to him, as well as Fuji's invitation for him to come at him for another rematch any time, Canonline takes it as him considering betraying her and Opener and destroys his soul completely.]]

* DoNotCallMePaul: [[spoiler: After realizing who he once was, he requests that he not be called Ikki but instead has the group continue to call him Suisen. Ikki is merely his core soul, but there are many in him so he feels it's not right for him to take precedence over the rest.]]

* HandsomeLech: Weiyasu is a shameless flirt, so much so in fact that even [[UsefulNotes/JapanesePronouns his "I" is "orepippi"]] a cross between the usual "ore" and "karepippi", which is a slang term to refer to a boyfriend.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: He's on the receiving end of one of these from Suisen, who had followed him when he tried to sneak away from the group after getting his Tokugawa Tenge back because there was a 99% chance that it would happen. He laughs at the fact that Suisen thought there was even a 1% chance he'd stay with the group, before realizing that Pirilika was the first person to actually show him any respect and repays it by returning to the group to see her mission through.

* PaletteSwap: While this is standard fare for the series to do so with generic units, both when they rank up and with special ones that see a role in the story, it rarely gets applied to former major characters. Here, there's a fella called Benikage, who [[DoNotCallMePaul abandoned his old name]] and prefers to be called Crimson Dark, who happens to resemble [[VideoGame/Disgaea5AllianceOfVengeance Void Dark]] a great deal, though with [[RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver a red and black color scheme]].

* ShadyScalper: His whole thing is buying up anything people might want, then selling it for drastically higher prices. This leads Pirilika and Seefour to hold a deep personal grudge against him for how such things make life hard for otaku. Oh and he has Weiyasu's [[MagicStaff Tokugawa Tenge]].

* AllergicToLove: Not unlike [[VideoGame/DisgaeaHourOfDarkness Laharl]] and his revulsion to anything involving love, Fuji does not do well with romance, so much so that coming into contact with anything to do with romance makes him vomit up blood.
