Akeno was sorely missed by her husband and he never remarried again after her death.

* AwfulWeddedLife: Muzan was married at least five times, but none of the wives had a happy life with him. He didn't love or care for his five wives and instead gave them nothing but verbal and emotional abuse to the point each wife was driven to suicide.

* CruelMercy: [[spoiler:He prevents Sanemi from succumbing from his injuries, but given that his son has to deal with the knowledge that his enitre family is dead, and his mother is stuck in purgatory with Kyogo, it's far from a kind act.]]

* AllThereInTheManual: The manga and anime never properly point out who's who among the siblings, Genya call their names out in his moment of pure exasperation and fear for their lives during a flashback, but his calling is not directly framed in a way where one can identify the siblings, in both versions. Only the second Databook provides a path by assigning a family tree, in order of older to younger sibling, where their names are arranged in a way where it can then be made who's who.

* LineageComesFromTheFather: Left hanging, in the manga it couldn't even be assumed which parent could be the one who is a descendant from [[spoiler:Kokushibo]], due the lack of color illustrations and enough details, and the 2nd Databook doesn't specify which parent came from that bloodline; the anime, however, could be implicitly leaning towards the father, due his colored physical characteristics resembling those from that bloodline, while the mom doesn't, but in the end nothing is confirmed.

* PosthumousCharacter: He's long dead by the time the story began, but his last words of defiance towards Hantengu are still engraved in his subconscious.
