A blue... ''thing'' that appears in the first of Courage's dreams in "Perfect". All it does is whisper to Courage "you're not perfect." Probably [[NightmareFuel one of the series' scariest things]], [[HighOctaneNightmareFuel if not the scariest]]. It appears to be a warped trumpet with a [[UncannyValley horrible human face stuck on it]].

Currently serves as the image for the series' HighOctaneNightmareFuel page. Nobody will allow it on the NightmareFuel page, it's that scary.

* ArtShift: To CGI.
* FanNickname: It doesn't really have a name.
* HellIsThatNoise: That whisper will stay with you, if not the background "music" of the scene.
* HighOctaneNightmareFuel: Now you know why so many people remember ''this one part'' of the episode the most.
* NightmareSequence: First of them.

* NightmareFuel: We never see exactly how he escapes everytime but when he does we are treated to a burning police car with possibly dead or KO'ed Police Officers, an entire prison on fire, etc.

Serves as the Titular Character who is a pink and black spotted dog (Of no known specific breed) who saves his owners Muriel and Eustace from all the creatures. No matter if they're NightmareFuel, UncannyValley, or just plain weird.

* AmusingInjuries: Courage takes a lot of Pain in many episodes (Most notable perhaps in Mecha-Courage), but he's usually ok and even laughing (Albeit as if slapped silly).

* CatchPhrase: Several. ("The Things I do for love..." for example)

* LoyalAnimalCompanion: No mattter how scared Courage gets in an episode, he lists Muriel's safety over his own.
* LovableCoward: Strangly subverted as he seems to prove his name more then the Cowardly part of the title.

* ParentalAbandonment: Rather a sad story, revealed in one of the last episodes of the series when [[spoiler: An evil doctor rocketed his Mom and Dad in hopes to create a race of Super Strong Space Dogs. Lucky Muriel found him as a baby in a nearby alley.]]

A rather gentlemanly anthropomorphic Weevil that treats hosts seemingly good but actually drinks their life slowly to feed himself. If your a {{Dragonball}} fan, it reminds you a lot of a certain other nightmarish insect like creature. Only Weevil's is even ''slower''.

A thin man who like other portrayals of the Sandman is like the god of Sleep. However he has a problem trying to sleep, that even his herd of sheep can not get him to lie down. So he chooses to take Muriel's deep sleep litteraly from under her nose. [[Spoiler: At least until Courage finds his Teddy Bear.]]

A sweet old lady of Scottish descent who found Courage abandoned by an alley and took him home. She is constanly in danger from the things that come to Nowhere but in no episode does she never smile at some point. And she loves Eustace despite his JerkAss personality.

* AdaptionDyeJob - Currently, Muriel has white hair from old age. Whenever a younger version of Muriel appears, her hair color is never the same; it has been shown brown (in a flashback), red (in what was either a painting or photo), blonde (in a dream sequence), and even white (when she was actually turned into a child)!

The very first monster to disturb the Main Characters house. In the pilot, he harasses the chickens out in their henhouse and he is thwarted after he accidentally shoots himself. He would later return albeit as a cooked chicken in a later episode where he looks for a new head. It is revealed later he had a wife and a kid with 3 heads.
