Some of them went on to Ascend to godhood or, in Speedwagon's case, go further into eldritch godhood.

* ForWantOfANail: She has a much better relationship with her parents because her father, Gotaro Kujo, chose not to abandon his family to protect them from his enemies.

While it still led to her meeting Speedwagon and Gifted Goldstar, her being handicapped (as well as her friends) led to several changes that separated her from her mainline counterpart -- for one, she succeeded in killing Dio in Windknight's Lot, and both her Ascension and polyamorous relationship with Speedwagon and Gifted occur tens of thousands of years earlier.

* ForWantOfANail:
** One of the biggest changes made to Speedwagon's character here is his origin. Like Dio Brando, he was born to an abusive father and a kind mother, but his mother being more proactive in raising and protecting him shaped Speedwagon's personality and gave him a stronger moral compass. His mother also drives Speedwagon's character arc here; while his AdaptationalJerkass personality in the beginning largely stemmed from his mother's death, it's also his mother's love that later causes his JerkassRealization and pushes him towards a true HeelFaceTurn.
** Unlike his canon counterpart, Speedwagon is genuinely capable of using [[KiManipulation Ripples]], making him a student of Willful P. Zeppelin alongside Gifted Goldstar. He also turned out to be a natural [[PsychicPowers psychic]], with his [[DetectEvil ability to smell evil]] being a variation of clairvoyance called [[TheNoseKnows clairalience]]. Speedwagon being able to us Ripples in this setting ended up both saving Willful Zeppelin from his canon death and allowed him to [[CurbstompCushion put up a much better fight]] against a treacherous Straight Path in his twilight years.
** Unlike his canon counterpart, who died an old man in his eighties, Speedwagon went off to train for godhood under Luminiferous and Golden Scepter, averting his canon death. Because he managed to Ascend, he was able to continue leading the Speedwagon Foundation and play a more proactive role in helping subsequent generations of the Goldstar Family. However, the circumstances in which he left did cause people to think he died, since the real reason for his departure was kept secret with only a few trusted individuals being in the know. He also, instead of dying, went even further in the opposite direction by becoming an eldritch Alicorn god while trying to save innocents from being corrupted by the Abyssal Ones.
** Instead of remaining a ConfirmedBachelor who had AmbiguouslyGay feelings for Jonathan Joestar like in canon, Speedwagon ends up marrying both Gifted Goldstar ''and'' his wife, Shining Settlement, becoming part of a [[{{Polyamory}} three-Pony polycule]].

* ForWantOfANail: Due to Gotaro never going through with his plan to [[ItsNotYouItsMyEnemies abandon his wife and daughter to protect them from his enemies]], she doesn't end up having to raise their daughter Goldine alone, resulting in Goldine being much closer to her parents.
