* HelloInsertNameHere: The name selected by the player at the start of the game will be the one used by Pirika and Phoena whenever he is mentioned in conversations. Unlike similar cases, the name can be changed anytime.

* CanonName: Yuuri in the [[Videogame/BraveFrontier Brave Frontier]] crossover, although it's up for debate.

* SupportPartyMember: Her second ability increases party's attack and defense by a relatively large amount as long as she's in the sub-party. As a result, a lot of players equipped her with the Volunteer Staff, which increases Main Party's defense as long as the wielder is in the sub-party. See TheMagikarp below for the catch.

* {{Expy}}: Considering the nature of the setting [[spoiler: and the identity of the Black Knight]], he is this to Sieg from Videogame/SuikodenTierkreis. Amusingly, that game also had a plot revolving around chronicles. Even the revelation of [[spoiler: his connection with the Black King almost perfectly mirrors the connection between Sieg and The One King]].

* TheDividual: Pirika does the talking for him. In the special [[Videogame/BraveFrontier Brave Frontier]] crossover and his 5-star upgrade, both of them are seen together.
* HeroicMime[=/=]SilentProtagonist: Outside of his Special Moves, the Hero doesn't really talk much. In fact, Pirika or Phoena literally speak for him during most of the main plot and the various character quests. Depending on the dialogue choices you choose however he can be either TheCharmer or a very DeadpanSnarker.

** MagikarpPower: However, if you manage to fully Limit Break her, she boasts one of the highest attack score for a cleric (exactly nine-thousand!), making her normal healing more feasible in battles and her special ''much'' deadlier.

* TheNondescript: Apparently has became this for the Volunteer Army after a while. In a recent series of event quest, New Advent Party of All, he became Monette's third millionth customer by virtue of being in frontmost of the group, rewarding him with free food and drinks...and yet Kain, Piirka and Phoena didn't even notice, causing them all to argue with each other on who wins the free dishes.

* BattleHarem: with far to many to count but consists of humans,sprites,demons,queens and princeses

** Goes UpToEleven in a valentine event, where her cooking ''comes alive as a monster'' begging to be eaten by a hero. Sure, she use magically-enhanced chocolates, but still.

In fact, Pirika or Phoena literally speak for him during most of the main plot and the various character quests. Depending on the dialogue choices you choose however he can be either TheCharmer or a very DeadpanSnarker.

* MagneticHero: A good number of the recruits to the Volunteer Army are there ''because'' of the Hero himself, or his exploits.

* YouAreinCommandNow: Is given temporary command of the Guild Alliance for a day during ''The Longest Day'' while Gilbert and Selene are rendered unable to lead due to a bad flu outbreak.

* WhiteMage: While technically part of the Cleric class, Phoena is notable in that not only is her healing really weak for a 5-star Arcana cleric (due to her low Attack score), she has a map-wide ''offensive'' special of the type you'd expect Wizards to have.

* NotAboveItAll: He has his moments of goofiness, as shown in some of the Arcana quests, like fighting on despite being in tears during Charno's (because he was disappointed that Charno ran away during battle), or enjoying getting a peek of Phoena's underwear during Kristian's (complete with nosebleed).

* BoringButPractical: The Hero (his base 3-Star rarity Arcana). Decent Attack and Hit Points even at max level (level 40), 1-mana special, and a HP-restore secondary ability makes him useful as a second-line fighter well into Book 10, where the game pretty much forces you to make up a team of 4 or 5-star rarity Arcana to even advance.

* TookALevelInBadass: As shown by his 5-star Arcana.
