While it's partly done for their well-being, her reasons are to keep their productivity and because her well-being depends on ''their'' well-being.

Both have similar issues with Diane and Mr. PB (Wanda, being Head of Programming at MBN, sought to keep a controversial figure in her roster, Hank Hippopopalous, in spite of Diane's accusations of the man, using Mr. Peanutbutter as leverage since he worked there as well; Stefani wanted Diane to write about the juiciest parts of Mr. PB's failure of a campaign), are related in a way to some of the main characters (Stefani is PC's boyfriend Ralph's sister; Wanda dated [=BoJack=] and was Mr. Peanutbutter's boss) and are morally compromised. Wanda, despite all being said, was a NiceGirl; Stefani is a JerkWithAHeartOfGold.
** To [[CrookedContractor Katrina Peanutbutter]]: Same ambition and lack of scruples. Katrina would put Mr. Peanutbutter down at every opportunity when they were married and upon her return, dedicated herself to meddling around his marriage with Diane, much to the latter's misery. Stefani seeks to boost Diane's ego to turn her against PB. In a way, their conjoined actions led to both pitting against each other and breaking up, all for their own selfish purposes. To add to the comparison, Katrina is somewhat honest about her disdain for her ex-husband and murky reasons for him to win; Stefani is to some degree dishonest to get Diane writing the kind the kind of articles she needs.
** To [[Characters/BojackHorsemanDianeNguyen Diane Nguyen]] herself. Both are involved in feminism (sort of), both have strong beliefs (which they're willing to sacrifice for fame), but different mindsets (Diane genuinely believes her drive to support women comes form a genuine passion and desire for change while Stefani is cynical enough to know it's just another demographic to exploit and its importance is just based on how important it makes them feel).
* FriendshipFavoritism: Stefani interacts with all of her employees, but most of her scenes have her talking to Diane, who's company she seems to prefer. Stefani finds Diane, shall be said, "interesting" because of her integrity, a rare breed in Hollywoo: an honest writer in a self-righteous blog.
* GenkiGirl: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. She's energetic but there's little of the normal behavior or requirements to fit this trope, at least outwardly. What she lacks in clear traits, Stefani more than makes up for it by being a more malicious take on it.

Once season 4 rolls around, she's still the same but proves to be a rare good boss in the business to the point where Diane admits she does love the work environment; not to say highlighting her EvilVirtues more and more, especially in her budding friendship with Diane. She's not good per se, just certainly better than she initially appeared. It's balanced out by the implication that she could be ruthless should she chose to be, but prefers to do things smoothly.
* SmarterThanYouLook: Mock the pompous rich mouse girl and her cutesy cacophony of a voice all you want, she has a sharp mind for business.
