While [=BoJack=] believed it to mean something, PC didn't and insisted they shouldn't make a big deal of it. However, when PC sensed BJ could be used as a MealTicket to prove herself as a good agent in-training. When that fails, she starts growing sweet on [=BJ=] for support and her ChronicHeroSyndrome. The horse, however, had since let go of his infatuation and swang between appreciating her support and hating himself for stringing her along, which retarget the cat herself.

* HatesSmallTalk: Especially if it steps in the way of getting to the point.

* {{Jerkass}}: {{Downplayed|Trope}} especially by comparison to some of the other Hollywoo residents (some even her clients) who she often locks horns against and the fact most of her insults are directed to real pieces of work. Still, PC is ''really'' short-fused: When her limit is reached, she doesn't even care about measuring words and can get carried away with the FloweryInsults, often to the detriment of keeping things tactful. Her self-reliant attitude also means that a two-persons-job will never fly with her: as long as she doesn't have to include anyone in her life, she'll keep them at arm's length; this can reach self-centered territory as she sometimes forgets to consider other people in her life, leaving them stranded and hurt by keeping them out of the loop.

While Carolyn isn't exactly sterile yet, she's in her early 40s and is not too far away from losing her last chance at biological offspring. PC, contrasting other agents, has a soul and morals she won't bend for anyone, especially if her clients are put in the firing line. Not to say of her human treatment of assistants, downtrodden stars and practically everyone looking for a chance at stardom. She's ''not'' a hypocrite, though, and freely indulges in the same cutthroat tactics every self-respecting agent knows by heart. The key difference between her and someone like, say, [[EvilCounterpart Vanessa Gekko]] is a) PC can get emotionally invested in her clients' well-being and career beyond the standard and b) she tries to keep a deal when she makes one. No going behind anybody's back. Still, she'll still KickTheDog through loopholes if they affect her interests: [[spoiler:Lora didn't expect PC to {{invoke}} SidekickGlassCeiling on her when she asked for a promotion but since she was doing a great job as an assistant, Princess would have preferred a backstage diplomatic sabotage rather than outright forbidding her to leave her.]]

* KarmaHoudini: A DownplayedTrope and a rare protagonist example. She's rarely malicious or completely gets away with every bad thing she does, but Princess Carolyn has a tendency out of the core five to be the one most likely to get her way or come out on top of a GambitPileUp whenever her clients are involved. In some particular occasions, she has shown herself capable of indulging in corruption and outright threatening of [[ButtMonkey Todd]], as well as illegal use of [=BoJack=]'s house for a tourist trap (Creator/DavidBoreanaz's house) ("Live Fast, Diane Nguyen") or just plain sabotaging another agent's deal just to prove herself superior ("Say Anything"), which rarely will affect her directly. More often than not, her reasons will be more complicated, somewhat selfless motives and benefit other people; but it's quite telling that her MomentOfAwesome in season 2 involves scamming an AssholeVictim out of a complex intended for ''his'' new agency by [[InvokedTrope invoking]] a LoopholeAbuse.

* TheAlcoholic: Not as much as Bojack, but she likes to have a few drinks every once in a while when in a bad mood or after a crappy day. ''A few dozen drinks'', as shown when she was breaking up with Vincent.

* UndyingLoyalty: To[=BoJack=]. {{Deconstructed|Trope}} as the lengths she often goes to get Bojack a job or to comfort him are often blundered by his constant mishaps, prima donna tendencies or outright dismissal of her efforts and advice. While he's gotten better at listening and following orders, Princess Carolyn often puts too much faith than she should on him. More often than not, it's portrayed as an unhealthy tie.

* HasAType: The men she has dated were (or that she thought were]] [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan good men]].

* RealWomenWearNoDresses: In spite of having a girly side in the fashion sense, Princess Carolyn is all over this trope: Having risen herself up from humble origins, she feels there’s no need for sentimentalism, small talk or anything than involves emoting nor getting attached in relationships or friendships of any kind. Just continue and don’t look back. Reasons for this vary from her previous dating experiences leaving a sour taste in her mouth, her knowledge of Hollywoo being a NoWomansLand and any kind of weakness is exploitable, her desire to be in control of her life without anybody’s help but above all, it’s her sense of having everybody’s confidence in her abilities without any kind of error margin to explore. As such, she wants to give this impression without having to face the emotional consequences.

* VillainProtagonist: PlayingWithATrope. More of a PragmaticVillainy devotee and guilty of a few KickTheDog moments yet not as antagonistic as other people, Princess Carolyn remains somewhat on the fence for the most part with only few instances of help toward her "friends" coming from similar interests, feeling it's the right thing or avoiding her own issues. She gets serious once something of importance toward her is in line, putting in display her ruthlessness and lack of scruples at short-term but she has her own set of principles as well as loyalty to some specific peers.
