* DeadpanSnarker: He turns out to be quite deadpan once the Cadet is [[MushroomSamba in condition to speak to him]]. The snark is mostly about his opinion on taking the kind of stuff that makes you think animals can talk.

Added DiffLines:

!!The Cadet
Our protagonist, a young member of the ATOM organization sent forth into the world [[SendInTheSearchTeam to locate a lost expedition]].
*{{Determinator}}: Our Cadet proves to be a strong case of this, when faced with certain mushroom-related mental influences.
*TheLeader: Since you can play in various ways, Headstrong Leader is the best-suited subtrope.
*PlayerCharacter: Well, duh.

!!Fidel
A deep cover agent of ATOM, running a tavern on the outskirts of Krasnoznamenny. The Cadet's initial orders are to link up with him and look for clues.
*BunnyEarsLawyer: He's overally a competent agent and a fully functional individual, who just has the quirk that he really likes Latin American culture.
*ForeignCultureFetish: He kind of pretends he's Cuban, when he's really of Central Asian descent.
*GratuitousSpanish: ...yeah, at this point you would expect it.
*TheLancer: Though he's apparently a longtime member of the organization, he leaves the leading to you.
*NiceGuy: Fidel is a kind and considerate man deep down, once you look past his Cuban posturing. He's one of the most polite, kindhearted and altruistic characters in the game.

!!Hexogen
A crazy old man you can meet in Red Fighter, fighting spiders and trying to raise rabbits to be good communists.
*BunnyEarsLawyer: Despite his odd mannerisms, he's a competent fighter, and a genuinely accomplished writer.
*ChummyCommies: He's the most outspoken about Communism as a political doctrine, although at times he seems to be a bit confused in the details.
*CloudCuckooLander: Just see him talk and how often what he says makes sense. (He's still giving you advice, it's just that his reasoning goes in odd ways.)
*TheSmartGuy: Despite his being bonkers, he's got the highest intelligence of your companions, only being potentially topped by you.

!!Alexander
The Cadet's acquaintance and a friend from ATOM, in "{{the friend nobody likes}}" kind of way.
*TheBigGuy: The most durable member of the party.
*BoisterousBruiser: Definitely a bruiser, and definitely he boasts about his achievements, whether real or not.
*CasanovaWannabe: All the time. When you meet him for the first time in game, he had been trying to woo Katya.
*CloseRangeCombatant: Unlike other party members, upon joining he already has perks in the melee tree.
*DeadpanSnarker: He has his moments, in particular when you ask him for opinion.
*GuysAreSlobs: A firm believer in this trope. The default quote on initiating conversation is that he's at the moment trying to burp out the Soviet anthem.
*IdentityBreakdown: [[spoiler:When you question him in Red Fighter, he claims to have been overtaken by a mind-devouring worm that assimilated his memories and now controls his body. Who is he now -- the man, the worm, both at once?]] You can help him settle the issue.
*VitriolicBestBuds: Settles for this role with Cadet, once you enlist him into the party.

!!Dzhulbars:
Your faithful companion in a cruel, unforgiving world.
*OptionalPartyMember: He will join your party only if you find him in a random encounter, and even then, it needs his previous owner to die and you to pass a skill check.
*TeamPet: Dzhulbars is a dog, y'know. His character sheet has majority of skills greyed off with descriptions of "bark bark bark!"
