The second Enerjak, a researcher like the first, was corrupted by one of his experiments and possessed by the Enerjak's spirit. Rising to power during the Forgotten War between the Order of Ixis and the Albion Knights of Aurora, he was such a threat that the two warring factions agreed to a temporarily allience and deeated him through unknown means.

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: The Dark Mobius Enerjak. He's gone so insane with power that nobody on the planet wants him around, and none of them can still do anything to stop him regardless.

* HeroKiller: Is extremely feared by the heroes regardless of the incarnation. Knuckles really only survived against Dimitri the first time due to IdiotBall moments on Dimitri's part, Knuckles required Super Sonic to fight him, when Knuckles was Enerjak, Super Sonic was needed to fight him, the Dark Mobius incarnation had already beaten every hero and villain from the main stories (including Super Sonic), the Freedom Fighters in that timeline were only still alive because he was bored and let them live for his amusement.

* TheJuggernaut: While this trope could be applied to any of them, the Dark Mobius incarnation fits it the best. He turned evil and alienated anybody who was on his side, but even with that nothing on his planet for decades could stop him. In his fight with Silver, he [[NoSell No Sells]] everything thrown at him, with the best Silver can do is make him mad. [[spoiler: He's only stopped by his own daughter using the Sword of Acrons to drain his power.]]

* PhysicalGod: Even among super form characters these guys are strong. The Dark Mobius Enerjak especially since he was Chaos Knuckles with full mastery of his power.

* SmugSnake: The Dimitri and Dark Mobius incarnations. The former shows that he is far more powerful than Knuckles, and only loses because he flat doesn't use his powers when fighting him. The latter is even more smug since he's had the entire planet to torment with nothing to stop him.
* UnskilledButStrong: A failing of the Dimitri and Dark Mobius incarnations:
** Wielding demigod powers at his minimum, Dimitri constantly underestimates his opponents, becomes extremely frustrated with those on his level that he can't simply steamroll over, (causing him to make careless mistakes), and doesn't know how to strategize. Not helping is the fact that prior to gaining his power, Dimitri was a scientist echidna, not a warrior, so he has no experience in actual fighting. Knuckles, who is a trained fighter, lands several good hits on him, and even points out to him; "All that power and I'm still surprised at what a glass jaw you have!" and; "You may be stronger, but do you even know how to fight?"
** When Silver fights the Dark Mobius incarnation, he matches him blow-for-blow in terms of raw power, and when he starts using strategy in conjunction, Enerjak can't adapt and ultimately loses.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: More Knuckles' incarnation than Dimitri's (though his Dark Mobius counterpart is more KnightTemplar)

* WomenAreWiser: Unlike Dimitri and Knuckles, Jani-Ca retained her sane state of mind after transforming into Enerjak, and is implied to be smart enough to dispose of her powers after she briefly utilizes them, solely for ([[KnightTemplar genuinely]]) benevolent purposes.

* AntiVillain: He's against Eggman like many of the cast and willing to fight for the greater good. But his main focus is on the echinas for what they did to his people. And he'll do anything to make sure they pay for their crimes.

* CruelMercy: Choses to "spare" Knuckles rather than banishing him into another Zone with the rest of the echidna population. He views this as LaserGuidedKarma of the "eye for an eye" kind; now they're ''both'' the LastOfHisKind.

The Chief Justice in the Overlander society and one of its premier Generals, Colin was a major player during the Great War. He's the brother of Robotnik and the father of Snively. After the war was lost, Colin took his people into space, seeking a new planet to inhabit. With their search fruitless they returned to Mobius only to be welcomed by Dr. Eggman, his brother from another dimmension.

* AntiVillain: An Overlander-supremecist, but dedicated to the survival and protection of his people.

* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: While Colin wasn't privy to many of Robotnik's atrocities he did sentence him for his crimes against humanity and with that in mind shouldn't have been so quick to judge his brother as having reformed.

* EvilerThanThou: Pulled this on Dimitri and Ixis Nagus. His speech to a hospitalized Dimitri cinches it.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: The Knuckles incarnation gets in on this quite a bit::

* WorfHadTheFlu: The Knuckles incarnation suffers this when he fights Super Sonic; Super Sonic only managed to last as long as he did thanks to a combination of his NighInvulnerability, the fact that Enerjak had just been drained of much of his Chaos energy by Eggman's [[SoulPoweredEngine Egg Grape Chambers]], and Knuckles' limited imagination prevented him from using Enerjak's power to [[ImaginationBasedSuperpower its fullest extent]].

* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Seemed honestly surprised that Knuckles' friends were willing to die to save him.

Thanks to his status as a ''[[WesternAnimation/SonicSatAM SatAM]]'' character rather than a comic-original, he was one of the few (and so far only) major non-video game villains to make it past the reboot. In the new continuity, he's a troll, and Wendy Naugus's brother. His backstory in the new universe reveals that he's now part of a race of trolls that thrived on crystal power. But an unknown event wiped out most of his race and split his civilization into smaller islands. Attempts to revive his civilization were met with many setbacks either from Eggman or Sonic. When Eggman tested his Genesis Wave, he was caught between rifts and lost his powers. He has since then been trying to find a way to re-gain them.

* BigBadWannabe: As pointed out by Sonic, Jules and even Fiona, Scourge's conquest of Moebius wasn't really impressive since, unlike Mobius, his world isn't full of powerful villains and monsters. All he did was beat up various warlords across the planet and [[AsskickingEqualsAuthority believed that made him king]]. When he came to Mobius, nobody but the Freedom Fighters considered him a threat and he was nearly defeated by Metal Sonic and Metal Scourge, latter of whom was literally put together by Eggman at the last minute.

* AchillesHeel: To the fan of Xen Fing.

* AdaptationalVillainy: She turned good in her first appearance in the cartoon, but stayed evil in the comics and even broke off from Eggman to work on her own as a villain.

* DatingCatwoman: Averted. When Sonic and Sally learn that Breezie was hosting the fighting tournament for a Chaos Emerald, Sonic reacts in disgust. This is vastly different from his [=AoStH=] counterpart, who was head over heels in love with her.

* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: In the cartoon. [[spoiler:Here's she's a completely organic hedgehog, having worked with Eggman to escape what's hinted to be an impoverished lifestyle.]]

* KnightOfCerebus: Any time a version of Enerjak shows it a sign things will take a turn for the worse.
* LegacyCharacter: So far, Dimitri, Knuckles, his counterpart from the "Dark Mobius" universe, and said counterpart's daughter have worn the mantle of Enerjak. Finitevus has implied that there have been more, touching back on the fact that when in flashbacks Dimitri took the name Enjerak he said he was taking the name of an "ancient evil."

* WomenAreWiser: Unlike Dimitri and Knuckles, Jani-Ca retained her sane state of mind after transforming into Enerjak, and is implied to be smart enough to despose of her powers after she briefly utilizes them, solely for ([[KnightTemplar genuinely]]) benevolent purposes.

* NotSoHarmlessVillain: As Anti-Sonic, he was nothing but a common hoodlum who got beaten up by ''[[ButtMonkey Antoine]]'' of all people. His transformation into Scourge gave him a chance to finally prove to Sonic and the other heroes just how dangerous he really is.

* SmugSnake: Scourge is cocky and arrogant, and loves to talk a big game, but is mostly, if not entirely, dependent on fear to keep people in line, and when a fight turns out to be harder than anticipated or when someone actually stands up to him, he tends to fold and run. He takes great delight in boasting about how he conquered Moebius, but even Fiona points out it's not very impressive since unlike Mobius Prime, his world isn't full of powerful villains and monsters, and his takeover amounted to simply beating up various warlords.

* IControlMyMinionsThrough: Fear and Power. Scourge controls the Suppression Squad and Destructix by beating them and making them terrified of him. In fact, this is how he controls most people he works with, as Jules-Prime notes. When confronted by someone who won't back down to his threats or let themselves be cowed by him, Scourge [[DirtyCoward folds like a lawn chair]].

* NotSoHarmlessVillain: He was nothing but a ButtMonkey and hoodlum as Anti-Sonic. His transformation into Scourge gave him a chance to finally prove to Sonic and the other heroes just how dangerous he really is.

In issue 156, Sonic even points out that it's one of the major clues that he's not the real Antoine; aside from the fact that the prime Antoine was never much of a fighter and lacked a killer instinct, no one, not even Bunnie, knew how he received the scar or could explain how.

* {{Jerkass}}: Contrary to Sonic, who can sometimes be a jerk but is really nice deep down, Scourge seems to be nothing but pure egotism, spite, and cruelty. Hell, he managed to beat up SHADOW multiple times.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Fiona is on the receiving end of this from Sally (specifically, she gets punched in the stomach) for trying to manipulate Tails' feelings again.

* KickTheDog: When fighting Antoine after the Team's return, Patch makes sure to get a dig in about Antoine's father being dead.

* SmugSnake

* TheSociopath: Sports shades of this. In past, when Sonic points out how Tails' life and the whole world are at stake, she brushes him off, stating that her own life and well-being are more important. When the whole world is at the brink of falling apart, she is more concerned with making profit out of the whole situation. And when Honey calls her out, she smugly dismisses her. Needless to say, Honey attempts to maintain a calm appearance but once she leaves the office, she is visibly horrified at how uncaring and manipulative Breezie is. The fact she realized this ony after she signed DealWithTheDevil didn't help at all.

* NotSoDifferent: He loves making speeches to Sonic about their similarities noting that "One Bad Day" (a la the Joker) would turn Sonic into him. Sonic, by contrast, turns it on him saying that a bit of selflessness and decency would turn Scourge into him. Scourge is horrified at the thought.

* {{Robosexual}}: [[spoiler:It's implied that she fell in love with Neo Metal Sonic; at the very least, she was visibly admiring him after he revealed himself to her, noting that they were NotSoDifferent.]]

** Also, whilst impersonating Sonic for a time, he hit on, amongst others, the Mobius Prime versions of Bunnie, Amy, and Rouge. There's even a subtle indication in issue #150 that he and Bunnie-Prime actually slept together, due to his taking advantage of her hurt and confusion over Antoine being stealthily replaced by Patch.
* CoolShades: It's one of the few things, aside from his leather jacket, that he's retained since his days as Anti-Sonic.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: In his last battle with Sonic, he taps into Anarchy Beryls, his universe equivalent to Chaos Emeralds, and goes super. He proves too powerful, even with both the Freedom Fighters, Suppression Squad, Rob O'the Hedge, and Silver working together, forcing Sonic to briefly retreat. However Sonic realizes something about his power and coax Scourge into depowering by appealing to his ego to beat him in a normal state. Scourge falls for it and finds himself too weak to move. Sonic then explains: Chaos Emeralds in his world give him a little boost when he comes out of it. But since this is an alternate/opposite world, Anarchy Beryls saps Scourge of his energy when he comes out of his super state. And since this was apparently the first time Scourge used them, he was completely ignorant of this fact. The dope ends up knocking himself out with Sonic not even having to touch him.

* {{Flanderization}}: One infamous GroinAttack from Sally in the Penders era (in an arc he was [[NotSoHarmlessVillain still a threat to her afterwards]]) solidified him as [[ComicallyLopSidedRivalry a hopeless punching bag]] [[IWasBeatenByAGirl for the female Freedom Fighters]] in nearly [[RunningGag every appearance]] during the Flynn pre-reboot era. Downplayed in the post-reboot era, he still interchanges between semi-competent or a punching bag, but the choice of opponent is indiscriminate.

* VillainWithGoodPublicity: {{Downplayed}}. When Angel Island devolves into civil war, the Destrutix are seen as the most heroic faction as Finitevus has them defend the non-combatents from the Dingos and warring Dark Legion as a way to make himself seem trustworthy to Locke. While the Echidnas think highly of them, it never really changes their position in the world as they're still seen as dangerous and untrustworthy mercinaries and news of their good deeds didn't go beyond Angel Island.
