Though, in “Back to Dave’s Future,” she appears taller, hair in a fifties fashion and her face is longer. Then in her cameo in “Merry Christmas, Mr. Carrol,” she’s back to her granny classic look but pudgier.

* HarshVocals: Alvin is quite the accomplished vocal impressionist and imitator. He can manipulate his voice to fit in with a music genre stylistically (being that The Chipmunks do [[CoverVersion Cover Versions]] of songs). So when when the song calls for it, he tends to use harsh vocals (in the lesser extent of this, he's raspy).

* MiddleChildSyndrome: Shades of it. He was the oldest (in the 80s series at least), but his archetype always fitted this in his trio of siblings. Alvin's the BlackSheep, the troublemaker, he acts out, he's loud, and lives for attention in comparison to his more moralistic, upright brothers. He also has doubts in how Dave feels about him as a son. ''Chipwrecked'' has him questioning the extent of Dave's love and blames himself as the reason he's more than likely not searching for them. In ''ALVINNN!!!'', he states that him and Dave "have never been any closer" due to their common disinterest in math in one episode, and he loves this newfound bond. Implying it doesn't happen often.

* RoundedCharacter: With a bit of DynamicCharacter. He harbors both good and bad qualities with some HiddenDepths, and his complexity is such that one can analyze and explore his established character traits in spades.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Although Alvin is very much self-centered and can be a certified JerkAss, he does care about his brothers and tends to turn things around as best he can once he knows he went too far. More so if any one of his siblings gets sad or disappointed by his actions. There's no personal goal to be ''purposefully'' malevolent, he simply tends to get too ahead of himself without realizing the possible impact it brings to those around him.
