** An adamantium bullet takes another pivotal role in the final battle. [[spoiler:Wolverine "began" when his memories were wiped by Logan mentions to Laura he got the adamantium bullet he intends to kill himself with ([[spoiler:and which Laura ultimately uses to finish off X-24]]) "a long time ago," as a nod to the brain, and "ended" when his clone is shot by the very same adamantium bullet in the same spot, ending Stryker used to wipe out his story.]]memories in ''Origins''.

** In {{Bookends}} form, Logan's first film and his last film gave him a surrogate father role for a young female mutant. This time, the child is technically his ''daughter'', having been imbued with his DNA.
*** Also, the plot of the film kicks off with when a young mutant leads him across the border into America from Canada. His last appearance features him trying to help a young mutant cross the border into Canada from America.
** Charles deduced that the HealingFactor made Logan survive the adamantium in his bones. [[spoiler: Now it turns out that in the long run, the adamantium wins.]]

* ''Film/X2XMenUnited'':
** Stryker's "I thought you were one of a kind, Wolverine. I was wrong". [[spoiler: Transigen had successfully created two more clones]].
** Logan says "Holy shit" the first time he sees [[spoiler:Laura unsheathe her claws]], which was the same reaction he had to Deathstrike revealing hers.
** Deathstrike is killed by injecting a huge dose of adamantium into her body. Here, Logan is slowly being killed by the adamantium in his bones.
** Xavier's telepathy freezes a food court full of people like mannequins, and they are unaware of what happened. In the Las Vegas hotel/casino, Xavier's seizure froze ''all the people in the hotel'', and they all feel the effects this time.
** [[spoiler:Charles' seizures emit potentially lethal waves of psychic energy, which is heavily implied to be the cause of the X-Men's deaths.]] This parallels Stryker using Charles as a psychic W.M.D. under Dark Cerebro.
** Right before his death, Stryker warns Wolverine that someday someone will finish what he started. In this movie, [[spoiler: Transigen creates X-24, a mindless killing machine, which is exactly what Stryker wanted to turn Wolverine into.]]
* ''Film/XMenTheLastStand'':
** Xavier's condition serves as a bit of an IronicEcho to Jean Grey's transformation into Phoenix: both exhibit lack of control of their powers, a resentment of others' methods of treating it, an aversion to needles, and the two biggest similarities? [[spoiler: Both have the blood of X-Men on their hands as a result of their powers going haywire, and both die by impalement after a moment of lucidity: Xavier is murdered by X-24, while Jean is [[MercyKill reluctantly put down by Logan himself.]]]]
** To further enforce this parallel, when Xavier has his second psychic attack, Logan stabs his claws into the surrounding hallway in order to effectively propel himself forward, just as he did to Jean Grey's ceiling when he was immobilized during her own Phoenix outburst.
** Both films feature mutants with mutant tracking powers [[spoiler: who are maneuvered into helping the villains.]] Caliban only does so after [[spoiler: being tortured by Pierce with direct sunlight exposure on his albino skin.]] Callisto, who is a CompositeCharacter, ironically combining the comic version with Caliban, seems to alternate between buying into Magneto's rhetoric, a carryover of her namesake's rivalry with Storm, and flat-out ForTheEvulz.
** Dr. Kavita Rao has a lot of similarities with [[spoiler: Gabriella.]] Both experiment on young mutants at the behest of a massive corporation, both find their charges under direct threat of murder, and [[spoiler: neither survive the events of their respective films.]] The difference? Rao comes off with GreyAndGreyMorality at best, and is killed by Quill during the siege on Alcatraz, while[[spoiler: Gabriella risks her life for the X-23 kids and is murdered after only her second scene in the first act.]]
** An extended version of the dinner scene with the Munsons has them asking about Laura's mother, and Logan and Charles use Jean Grey as their cover story. However Charles' dementia catches up to him, and he begins rambling that Logan killed her, in reference to the climax of this film, when he's forced to kill Jean to stop the Phoenix.

** Like the elderly Hudsons, an innocent family takes in Logan and company, and gets assassinated by Logan's pursuers - and just like that film, death comes swiftly and delivered by people tied to Weapon X.
** Logan fights an imperfect Weapon XI in the climax. This time he fights [[spoiler: his perfect clone X-24, also played by Hugh Jackman, with Liev Schreiber's Victor Creed buzzcut.]]
** During Logan's first fight with Victor in ''Origins'', a defeated Logan claims he is "nothing like Victor". [[spoiler: X-24 is essentially what Logan would have been if he'd chosen to be more like Victor, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking right down to the buzzcut]].]]

* ''Film/TheWolverine'':
** Armed with {{absurdly sharp blade}}s and much better fighting skills, a [[PintSizedPowerhouse young female sidekick]] acts as bodyguard to the ailing Logan.
** Logan's DeathSeeker trait is brought up in his road trip conversation with Laura, mirroring his dialogue with Yukio.
** The loss of his HealingFactor is once more a plot point, as Logan's injuries add up and dabble in his mortality.
** [[spoiler:The manner of Logan's death is a deliberate nod to Yukio's premonition of Logan's death in ''The Wolverine''. Just as she predicted, he dies lying on his back, there's blood everywhere, and he has his heart in his hand. The ProphecyTwist of the latter is that Laura his daughter holds his hand as he passes away.]]
* ''Film/XMenDaysOfFuturePast'':
** When Beast asks Future!Wolverine if he's a parent, the latter remarks "Sure as hell hope not." Enter Laura, his DNA-imbued clone whom he accepts as his daughter [[spoiler: before he dies.]]
** Charles ''still'' enjoys telling Logan to "Fuck off!"
** Logan pops out his claws as a warning to the cholos stealing the tires off his limo, only to be shocked by one of his claws failing to properly come out, and gets beat up in the confusion. A very similar scenario happens as soon as he wakes up in the 70s, only this time, the shocking factor is his finding out he has bone claws instead of adamantium, and he gets shot.
** Back in [=DoFP=], Quicksilver moves so fast that he takes out the Pentagon guards while leaving them no chance to react. Similarly in ''Logan'', one of Charles' seizures freezes several mercenaries in place so they can't react as Logan takes them out.
