** In "Return to the Spider-Verse, Part 4", Spidey and ComicBook/MilesMorales go to the latter’s reality. There, they find Wolf Spider, who then reveals that he took Miles’ mother hostage, the latter being bound and gagged with web.

** Also, during the "Ursula's Revenge" number in [[WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaid Atlantica]], Flotsam and Jetsam [[TentacleRope used their bodies]] to tightly restrain Sora, which nearly causes him to suffocate ([[OurMermaidsAreDifferent despite being a merman]]). He gets saved by Donald and Goofy before killing his former captives with a beam of light from his Keyblade.

* In ''Film/{{Aladdin}}'', the same thing happened like in the animated version but the gagging isn't involved and was tied to a chair instead.

* Creator/JackBlack in ''Film/TheMuppets2011'', after getting kidnapped by Miss Piggy, he then spends the entire telethon tied to a chair.

* ''WesternAnimation/UltimateSpiderMan2012'':

* In ''WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaidIIReturnToTheSea'', Melody unintentionally binds and gags Sebastian by tying him behind her with a ribbon when Ariel comes to check up on her. He eventually breaks free, but ruins the party, embarrassing Melody in front of her peers, and gets himself chased by Chef Louis. Ariel also receives this treatment by Morgana capturing her and covering her mouth with one of her tentacles.

* Hilariously done in ''WesternAnimation/{{Ratatouille}}'', with one unusual twist -- it's the "good guys" doing the binding and gagging (on a Health Inspector and an interfering former Head Chef)!

* In ''WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaidIIReturnToTheSea'', Melody unintentionally binds and gags Sebastian by tying him behind her with a ribbon when Ariel comes to check up on her. He eventually breaks free, but ruins the party, embarrassing Melody in front of her peers, and gets himself chased by Chef Louis.

* In ''WesternAnimation/OliverAndCompany'', Sykes kidnaps young Jenny and ties her up so she can't escape, intending to ransom her to her rich parents with the threat of feeding to his dobermans.

* ''WesternAnimation/WreckItRalph'' when after Ralph falls into taffy, he gets stuck in a cupcake and taken to King Candy’s castle. The taffy dries across his mouth, gagging him.

* In the manga adaption for ''Manga/KingdomHeartsI'', [[WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}} Jasmine]] winds up bound and gagged after Jafar captures her [[spoiler:so she can be taken to [[{{WesternAnimation/SleepingBeauty}} Maleficent]] in Hollow Bastion]]. In the game, however, she was just unconscious.

Creator/{{Disney}} is quite fond of this trope, and has used it throughout its history and in many different media.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDame'' plays this for BlackComedy in the song, "The Court of Miracles", which has Clopin put Quasimodo and Pheobus, both accused of being Judge Frollo's spies, put on a [[KangarooCourt mock trial]], and sentenced to be hanged. The two are unable to defend themselves because they happen to be gagged. Esmeralda clears their names just in time.

** The scene almost happened to Phillip's predecessor, PrinceCharming in ''WesternAnimation/SnowWhiteAndTheSevenDwarves'', where unused scenes feature the prince being imprisoned in the Evil Queen's dungeon and put in a similar situation for some reason before the Queen would turn into the old witch. The scene being already grim enough eventually made Disney to scrap this scene, and later modify and eventually give it to Phillip.
