Years later, she's an elderly woman living in poverty when the son she gave up decades ago tracks her down. Now a prominent lawyer, he takes her home with him to take care of her and give her the pampered life she always deserved. Although she still never sees her daughter again, the final scene is of her beginning to write her memoir and expressing the hope that somehow, her daughter will one day read it and know who she was.

* ''Series/DoomPatrol2019'': The threat of the Butts and Immortus has been thwarted, and the world is once again saved, but Rita succumbs to old age and dies despite the rest of the team having their longevity restored moments before, Cliff's Parkinsons eventually claims him too, and the team is disbanded at Rita's final request from beyond the grave. However, the rest of the team does find some closure-- Jane is able to heal from her trauma and becomes Kaleidoscope (or Kay) to join Space Case and start up a relationship with her, Larry and Keig retrieve Mr. 104 and travel to a dimension where they can live their lives without their powers hurting everyone, Vic returns to being Cyborg and joins in teaching a class to help young geniuses hone their talents, Rouge goes to burn down the Ant-Farm, Rita is reunited with her long-deceased lover in the afterlife, and Cliff is granted a vision of the complete life of his grandson Rory to see the kind of man he'll grow up to become before he passes on.



* ''Series/TheFlash2014'' episode [[Recap/TheFlash2014S3E7KillerFrost "Killer Frost"]]: [[Comicbook/TheFlash Wally]] gets the SuperSpeed he desperately wanted and [[Comicbook/TheFlash Barry]] is able to get through to Caitlin and help her suppress her SuperPoweredEvilSide [[AnIcePerson KillerFrost]]... but Barry and Cisco's friendship is on the rocks due to the revelation that Cisco's brother was alive before Barry [[Recap/TheFlash2014S3E1Flashpoint changed the timeline]], meaning that Barry is partly responsible for his death, and Barry is forced to quit his job as a CSI so that Julian will keep quiet about Caitlin kidnapping him. Oh, and the episode began with Barry being [[CurbStompBattle badly beaten]] by new BigBad Savitar, meaning that at the end of the episode, the heroes still have the threat of a new evil speedster hanging over their heads.



* ''Series/SpiderManJapan'': There were a lot of episodes that ended with someone dying directly or indirectly because of the Iron Cross Army's actions in spite of Takuya Yamashiro's heroics as Spider-Man, Takuya resolving that the tragic loss is another victim of the Iron Cross Army he'll have to avenge. One of the most tearjerkingest examples was the 21st episode, where a boy who's painting has been accepted in an American art gallery is discovered to have a father working for Interpol who left him to be raised by his uncle and aunt because he discovered a secret base of the Iron Cross Army and saw a chance to avenge his wife's death at the Iron Cross Army's hands. In spite of Takuya's best efforts to get the man to reunite with his son before he leaves Japan, the man ends up succumbing to mortal wounds the Iron Cross Army inflicted on him.



* ''Series/WandaVision'': Wanda finally drops the Hex covering Westview, finally overcoming the grief that she dealt with. Agatha is forced to be a "noisy neighbor" thanks to Wanda and Hayward is arrested for his actions as Monica takes her first steps into superheroism. However, dropping the Hex meant that Wanda might have lost her family again for good, the citizens of Westview hate Wanda for what she did and both Wanda and Vision have disappeared with Wanda going into hiding and studying up the Darkhold book while Vision's whereabouts are unknown.
