* The Conceptivore is the big bad in ''TheWorldOfTheCreatures''. It's an idea-eating thought monster that invades peoples' minds and brings to life the total sum of all their thoughts/feelings/experiences/etc. just so that it can devour them, leaving the victim with no sense of self.

* ''Fanfic/CrisisEquestria'': [[MagnificentBastard Silvertongue]] at first, though he turns out to be TheDragon to GreaterScopeVillain [[GodOfEvil Nihila]]. [[spoiler: Until chapter 25, when he [[TheStarscream betrays her]] and [[AGodAmI steals her power]], making him the definite BigBad.]]

* ''Fanfic/KingdomHeartsCodyStory'': Maleficent starts off as this at first, manipulating half the total Drama contestants to help her seek the hearts of all worlds. This is subverted in the Hollow Bastion chapter, where [[HijackedByGanon Ansem takes over as the villain for the rest of the story]].

* In the beginning of ''Fanfic/LovedAndLost'', an extended retelling of "A Canterlot Wedding", Prince Jewelius [[TheUsurper steals Equestria's throne]] right after he has helped Twilight Sparkle in stopping the Changeling invasion by manipulating the public and [[CorruptTheCutie Twilight herself]] to turn against the princesses, Shining Armor and Twilight's friends, banishing them all from Equestria as [[HeroWithBadPublicity hated pariahs]]. They then spend the rest of the story trying to earn back everypony's (especially Twilight's) trust and expose [[CassandraTruth an unbelievable truth]] they learn about [[VillainWithGoodPublicity "Holy King Jewelius I"]]; [[spoiler:he [[EvilAllAlong himself]] told [[BigBadWannabe Queen Chrysalis]] about [[CainAndAbel his cousin Cadance]] and Shining Armor's wedding and stroke a partnership to take control of Equestria with Chrysalis. He helped her to sneak into Canterlot by telling her how to enter the caverns underneath the castle, and he lured Cadance into a trap, allowing Chrysalis to take her place. However, after making himself a LoveInterestTraitor for Twilight, he double-crossed the Changelings [[XanatosSpeedChess at the last minute]]. After the heroes defeat the army of Jewelius -- who's been exposed as a monstrous fraud to everypony -- and corner him in the final battle, he's [[DevouredByTheHorde killed by the Changelings]] for his betrayal. Queen Chrysalis then attempts to take back the main antagonist role, only for Cadance and Shining Armor to finally give the Changelings [[ATwinkleInTheSky their canon defeat]] that has been delayed only because of the plot twists caused by Jewelius]].

* ''Fanfic/{{Empathy}}'' has a VillainTeamUp between [[Disney/BigHero6 Yokai]] and [[spoiler: [[WesternAnimation/{{Home}} Captain Smek]]]], working together to open a portal for [[spoiler: the latter's [[TheManBehindTheMan master]], the Gorg]].

* The Disney/{{Mulan}} AU fic ''FanFic/{{Hachin}}'' has Bataar's [[CainAndAbel half-brother]] [[PsychopathicManchild Unegan]] as the main antagonist, though the ghoul in his service is [[DragonInChief the greater threat]] [[spoiler: and turns out to be [[TheManBehindTheMan the one calling the shots]]]].

* ''Fanfic/HopeForTheHeartless'': Arawn, the Death Lord of Annuvin and the former master of [[VillainProtagonist the Horned King]]. He was [[SealedEvilInACan imprisoned in the Black Cauldron]] centuries ago, and when [[Disney/TheBlackCauldron his former apprentice suffered the same fate]], Arawn tortured him. When the Horned King is released for a onetime RedemptionQuest, Arawn does everything [[LeakingCanOfEvil in his power]] to ensure that the Horned King fails and is [[AndIMustScream resealed in the Cauldron]] for him to eternally torture.
