Why do so many of these entries not end with punctuation marks? There are other capitalisation and punctuation mistakes here (including an overuse of ellipses), not to mention a fundamental indentation mistake: if there are multiple examples from the same series, they all go at second-level bullets or higher. The first one does NOT get a first-level bullet.

An instrumental version has a tendency to appear during many fights throughout the first season, and during the Kimura vs. Mashiba match.
** The entire soundtrack for the first season is really great, but the most notable are the Rocky-esque [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AtIhuKn2No "Stand Proud"]], the training montage theme [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2BE3IILRto "Irradiation"]] and the emotional [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rapewtS7bcE "Yuuzora no Kamihikouki"]]

The latter even had an acoustic version to fit Episode 7's [[spoiler:DownerEnding]].
** Then there is the insert theme song used in the final episode of Season 1, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_m9oJH26bU "Nowhere Living Now"]] by [[KisshoTaniyama Torao]].
** Season 2 gives us the kickass opening [[https://soundcloud.com/thekamikaz-13/re-hamatora-sen-no-tsubasa "Sen no Tsubasa"]] by livetune adding Takuro Sugawara (from 9mm Parabellum Bullet).
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6T0kmfSnpg "Love Tropicana"]] from ''[[JungleWaItsumoHaleNochiGuu Haré+Guu]]'' is a crazy upbeat dancing song.
** Something must be said for the funktastic ending song of ''Haré+Guu Deluxe'', [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2dR2DKfnDE "Fun Fun and Shout"]] by Sister Mayo.
* ''Manga/HayateTheCombatButler'' has their own rendition of [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGXm2ZxS1uQ "Cruel Angel Thesis"]].

For more relaxing music, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIk6a71g49k "Mangetsu"]] is a heartwarming track from the first season that puts a OneWomanWail to amazing use.
* ''{{Hellsing}}'' has one of the best soundtracks for any anime ever!
** Yasushi Ishii is [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tuIdQwYU4s absolutely brilliant.]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jF6k0eI0rSU "World Without Logos"]], one of the greatest opening themes in anime. Music to kill yourself to.
** The much better second attempt at a Hellsing series has [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90nPfR_AFpQ this]] to offer...
*** The epic closing of the first OST, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFZjegvE6OA Gradus Vita.]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fclmZtnwWIg "Double Crossed Fool"]] is also of note as an awesome tune, as is the ending song, Shine.
** Tthe first series had [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GusLypfx7OQ this]].
** And then you have [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmxUvD9B208 this]] little gem.

*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X678uiU8eOc Letzte Batallion]].
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cby15ECQw4w When You Start The War, Fight with Arrows, Spears and Swords!]]. So awesome it's both the eighth ending in ''Hellsing Ultimate'' and Anderson's theme in original anime.
* ''HeroicAge'' has its opening: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHjD8_Ivkxs Gravitation]].
** The series itself had some absolutely stunning, orchestral music. Give [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trRDJ0A9eAM Gekishin]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3eGH_yHSzE Nodos no Tatakai]] a listen.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0nZZoQMmY8 Ankoku no Nodosu]]... aptly described as the "OhCrap" music, and the apocalyptic [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RuC_YdWvEI Kyouran]] from the second soundtrack.
* ''{{Heroman}}'' has definitely demonstrated this so give [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/TETSUYA---Roulette/224a67079c1902a4f2ba9112ee2c8b19 "Roulette"]] and [[http://vimeo.com/63867965 "CALLING"]] a listen. The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGOk_d6ZAUw Skrugg's Theme]] is also pretty good.
* ''LightNovel/HighSchoolDXD'':
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kFiEKTAADs "Kakusei"]]. OminousLatinChanting + Issei using [[ClothingDamage Dress]] [[TheNudifier Break]] = MundaneMadeAwesome.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4o5wEAXrnSE Akeno's theme music]], especially with the {{Sexophone}} playing. It really does capture Akeno's [[TheTease love-begging, quasi-pornstar attitude]] towards [[TheHero Issei.]] Not only that, it further cemented her status as the series's local {{Memetic Sex God}}dess alongside Rias.
*** Her image song, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCFD52bAcBg Kurokami BEGIN TALE]], definitely qualifies too. A love-charged electro-flamenco song, so hot and steamy it will make you {{nosebleed}} just by hearing the few intro notes.
** Rias's image song, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGNysGhtSU8 Crimson No Binetsu]]. It starts off with an OminousPipeOrgan, and then explodes with a barrage of progressive rock awesomeness, coupled up with the soothing vocal delivery of [[Creator/YokoHikasa Rias's seiyuu.]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvkxGgn3HXY "A Man of Gentle Manners"]], the love theme, perfectly outlines Issei, because [[ChivalrousPervert in the end,]] [[NiceGuy he is one of the nicest guys ever seen in anime]], and deserves [[BalancedHarem the love, care and attention the girls give him.]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtdOiJ-QqCI "Trip -innocent of D-"]], the intro theme for the first season. Very much anime-like, but those power metal-esque guitars at the beginning are [[EpicRiff really freaking amazing.]]
** Also, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvgUAzezuek "STUDY x STUDY"]], the ending theme for Season 1, which also doubles as EarWorm.
*** Just when you thought the original was already awesome... Here comes the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDxUKB5hVEU Girls-x-Songs version featuring Rias, Asia, Akeno and Koneko]] to blow you out of the water.
* The ''Manga/HighSchoolOfTheDead'' opening's transition from slow at the beginning to rock is just great. For a show ruined by unnecessary fanservice it had a great opening by [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-G-MkuXMgU Kishida Kyoudan and the Akeboshi Rockets]].
* Technically from the [[VisualNovel game]] than from the anime, but "Dear You", the ending theme of the Meakishi-hen arc of ''VisualNovel/HigurashiNoNakuKoroNi'' is incredibly poignant and beautiful, espescially if you've seen Meakishi-hen. An epic version of it can be heard [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wec3JP5hmAs here]]. (Warning: Actual video contains Meakishi-hen spoilers)
** The anime itself has both the [=OPs=], which are not only awesome in and of themselves, but are perfectly indicitave of the changing tone of the series; First, the suspenseful and moody [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRtsIJXrhqc Higurashi no Naku Koro ni]] and secondly the defiant and hopeful [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxrI17wYgRw Naraku no Hana]].
*** The full versions of [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9opZi6PluKI Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aP5GypiM_Vw Naraku no Hana]].
*** Also, Yurie of Code Speed's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Mw0hQof39Y remix of Naraku no Hana]].
** After the end of this universe, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NABSgiM4IM "Dear you--bond"]] is quite possibly the song that will be sung in the Heavenly Jerusalem.
* ''HoneyAndClover''. Submitted for your approval in the following clips: First, some poignant piano renditions of the [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/YUKI---Dramatic/dc5fa86f6c390883b8c95cf6a4fcf028 first]] and [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/YUKI---Fugainaiya/21a6ea12d4a97e57a98d5fa3f22e9b38 second]] opening themes. Then Suneohair [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ltDlYxo59A shows us why God]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTYLmDv4Hq4 gave us ending themes.]] Watch in high quality. It makes a difference!
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVK6ZUyJ3N8 Bonbon Bereppa]] is so awesomely quirky and unique, not to mention oddly relaxing. Made even better by the fact that it usually is played whenever Morita is in CloudCuckooLander mode, making it practically his Leitmotif.
* Most of the music in ''HoukagoNoPleiades'' is kinda mediocre...but then, at the end, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BU2ayif4cs&t=02m20s this happens.]]
* One does not go into a yaoi OVA expecting good music. That is why the main theme of ''HyakujitsuNoBara'' may blow the minds of those unprepared...especially when it's playing over tank battles.
* ''[[IGPXImmortalGrandPrix IGPX]]'', apart from the [[http://www.veoh.com/watch/v19183390YbpxNmaP?h1=PV+GRANRODEO+Go+For+it!+%28IGPX+OP%29 opening theme by GRANRODEO]], has some excellent music provided by the British indie label NINJA TUNE. One of the coolest tracks in the entire series is [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBB5sTY4nqw "Everything Is Under Control (dj KENTARO Remix)]] by COLDCUT, played in a few of the Toonami-edition episodes, as well as the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNgROmhcYjU Season 1 recap music video]]. There are also some epic orchestrated tracks scattered throughout the uncut version that are, sadly unavailable on CD.
* ''InitialD's'' first season [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67K6oXHyf_Q opening]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoFSQeOAYz4 ending]].

* In ''Manga/{{Inuyasha}}'', [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FiTPCwlhz0 "Hanyou, Inuyasha"]] can be liberally translated as "Serious ass is about to be kicked, right now".
** The track, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaZ7W5AR44o "Dilemma"]], is the slower, more serious version of the above theme.
** Also [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgHW6dbrl1o "Sesshomaru's Theme"]] and the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWUoQ7T9Dvw "Attack Theme"]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ7gMdeqEBo "Sango's Theme"]] is another excellent piece from the series.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FU08ISxrB00 "Inuyasha and Kagome's Theme"]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AycJyecbYw4 "To Love's End"]], two of the most beautiful love themes ever written, with the first featuring a mesmerizing OneWomanWail.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdbieHYY0z0 "Kikyou's Theme"]], a fan favorite, is an understated and haunting song that epitomizes traditional Japanese culture and aesthetics.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQoiM9fxIE4 "My Will"]]. An absolutely gorgeous song.
** The first season opening, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfIY-Y9VHqI "CHANGE THE WORLD"]].
** And the second opening, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_COW8D5bfs "I am"]].
** The fourth opening, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAaMegRBEYU "Grip!"]] by Every Little Thing.
** Opening song #6, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVxPNDFFc74 "Angelus"]].
** The second ending theme, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIoDWTF0qSo "Fukai Mori"]].
** The third ending theme, [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/ayumi-hamasaki---Dearest/78552be62bd1fd77cc6f61965cdb46c2 "Dearest"]]. Has several remixes in the series, the most memorable being the beautiful [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DEamZa-Jcc strings instrumental version]], which made [[spoiler:Kikyo's death]] even more heart-wrenching.
** The fourth ending, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7h2sLhaShs "Every Heart -Minna no Kimochi-"]].
** The fifth ending song, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UvdKt3hLNM "Shinjitsu no Uta"]] and the seventh ending song, [[https://soundcloud.com/jjq-q/namie-amuro-come-inuyasha-end "Come"]] are epic.

They are (in order): [[https://soundcloud.com/shownyi/12-no-more-words "No More Words"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpUiq0EUCl8 "Yura Yura"]], [[http://soundcloud.com/dramaqueengina64/inuyasha-four-seasons "Four Seasons"]], and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TY2z0khdUs "Rakuen"]].
** From ''The Final Act'', we have the opening theme song [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Leo3g_PAMCc "Kimi ga Inai Mirai"]] and the ending themes, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUcjS-9_kbg "With You"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NFPTaLFXBU "Diamond"]], and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yIJ0CSDbsM "Tooi Michi no Saki de"]].
* ''Manga/{{Jormungand}}'': In season one, the opening song, [[http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xrd7pd_mami-kawada-borderland-pv_music "Borderland"]] by Mami Kawada and the endings, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AS6PFrxdjCU "Ambivalentidea"]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXRGwzF_gLQ "Shiroku Yawaraka na Hana"]] by Nagi Yanagi all definitely qualify.
** For season two, we get a new opening song, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfLbHBbh_MY "UNDER/SHAFT"]] by Maon Kurosaki, and the return of Nagi Yanagi with [[https://soundcloud.com/bii-iuv/nagi-yanagi-laterality-a-k-a "Laterality"]], the ending.
** The [[TitleDrop appropriately named]] track for this series from the original soundtrack, played during the first episode of the first anime season--and when [[spoiler: Hex and her crew was finished off by a B-52 bombing]]. Enter: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmWla4Pz8Zs "Jormungand"]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-T07zIS6Pfc "Sense of Crisis"]] from the Jormungand: Perfect Order [=OST=] gives the show a somewhat surreal feel with all the piano music.
** ''Perfect Order's'' first episode has an incredible French rap in [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pV1jzleFhRA "L'ambition mélodique"]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB8xsFy0Xd4 "Time to Rock and Roll"]] by Santa/Taku Iwasaki from the first OST, a catchy mix of rap, techno, and electronica that typically accompanies ass being kicked. Another song on the OST, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8okzVnShqMw "Time to Attack"]], has a harder beat and is the source of "Her name is Koko," which definitely also qualifies it.
* ''Anime/{{K}}'' has its beautiful opening, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Ysu5X0OOc "KINGS"]] by angela.
* ''{{Kaiji}}''s OST is one of those very simple ones that still manage to be incredibly awesome. No singing, just great instrumentals. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebrnljYK8e8 "Kaiji Theme"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9a0TLSpQWY "Predicament"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS17YZPsa0o "Line Of Light"]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7724BEyxB0 "Beginning"]] are the pinnacles.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meBzDGG7WeU "Wish"]]. Holy shit, when that guitar starts...!
** Also worth mentioning is the ending theme, "Makeinu-tachi no Requiem", sung by Hakuryuu. It gets even more awesome when you realize that it's Tonegawa's voice actor.
* ''Manga/KamichamaKarin'' has a catchy OP by ALI PROJECT called [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERNOQ77504A "Ankoku Tengoku"]].
** Although aparently that song scared some people.
* The anime of ''LightNovel/KamisamaNoInaiNichiyoubi'' has a beautiful soundtrack by Hiromi Mizutani. Some examples include [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6rbDQzvvys "Valley of Death"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFKX0wXHm7o "Ortus"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YnyTZ43Wo8 "Blessing"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qreNUdLhXhA "Transitoriness"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFmS1Vo8Y1E "Conflict"]], and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLVvFjM1vuE "Lost World"]].
* Most of the soundtrack to ''KannazukiNoMiko''. Especially the OP, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ieqlVLukfU "Re-sublimity"]], and the ED, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfIrPZ6Ci_k "agony"]].
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0dCmhLJ9zU "Last Regrets"]], the gorgeous, sweeping opening theme of the ''{{Kanon}}'' PC game (and the later anime series). All previous conceptions of Kanon being 'just some porn game' are blown away by the Full Chorus version of this song--how could it be with music THIS good.
** Not to mention the great ending, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbQlyxxk_-Q "Kaze no Tadori Tsuko Basho"]], or Where the Wind Reaches.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZ7zuP8_iA8 "Tenshi no Yubikiri"]], the opening to ''His and Her Circumstances'', a.k.a. ''Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou'', a.k.a. ''KareKano''. True love ''does'' have a theme song!
* ''Manga/KatekyoHitmanReborn''[='=]s [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd-H6nPOzJU third opening]], despite the rather odd lyrics, manages to be a beautifully upbeat song.
** There's also the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4V7TMw3fgg second]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69zai_4u2z4 seventh]] [=OPs=], for the same reasons. Also, there's the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEcdvzbDLeQ fifth OP]] for a somewhat less upbeat example.
*** Here's the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mr_4QQnG8TQ "Varia Quality"]] version of the 7th OP; however, it is only sung by Squalo, Belphegor, and Lussuria.

** The fourth opening, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jis5z99Z3OE "88" ]], is also awesome.
** Then there's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpbVcAhCmoY "Tsuna Awakens"]]. When it starts playing, you know Tsuna is about to kick some major ass.
** The fourth ending, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcuSYk1No2Y "friend"]].

** The fifteenth ending, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dg2MwF6oeyY "gr8 story"]], is awesome!
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lv1UusDx1MU "Hibari's Theme"]], which sounds as awesome as the the Disciplinary Committee leader himself.
** The sixteenth ending, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwZbDcY_vPU "Famiglia"]].
*** Here's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUdBvB6RcPg another version of this song]] sung by Yamamoto, Gokudera, and Ryohei.
** The seventeenth ending, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiB1mbL6WjU "Canvas"]].
*** Here's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Bq0bEUqKb8 another version]] sung by Tsuna and Reborn.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vootQHhLRE "Flame of Resolution"]]. When it starts playing, you know the Vongola will gain a wicked power or kick some ass.
** The sixth opening, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rITlmuUmnaM "EASY GO"]], is sung by Kazuki Kato, who voices Kikyo in the series.
** The first opening, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qPSnq9YoYY "Drawing days"]], is quite nostalgic and evocative of when the series was just a comedy series.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRertCyAAsM "Oretachi no Joy"]], sung by both Gokudera and Yamamoto, is awesome and quite adorable.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdpeA5aAmBo "Reborn's Theme"]] is also awesome and it's the first theme we hear in the very first episode of the series.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh1-Anq5IWw "Yakusoku no Basho e"]] is very awesome and heartwarming.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlTqkYC-EC8 "Mirai no Oozora e"]] for the same reasons.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVCVbZIJR-o "Sakura Addiction"]] sung by Takashi Kondo and Toshinobu Iida, who voice Hibari and Mukuro respectively.
* Kaze no Yojimbo's OP, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBO8JVAXc90 Tokyo by Escargot]]. The ED, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wygmAVWOPM Situation also by Escargot]], is also highly listenable.
* The entire soundtrack to ''KazemakaseTsukikageRan''. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaLdPftoiE8 Try the ending theme]].
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1orLhZWEOQ "Sha la la –Ayakashi NIGHT–"]] opening theme of ''{{Kekkaishi}}''.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sl_YFpIVGWA "Get Away From Here"]].
* ''KeroroGunsou'' has many good openings and endings. Of course, it seems very hard for them to top their very first ending, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nB5iMgIwx2A "Afro Gunsou"]]!
* ''Manga/KimagureOrangeRoad'' has an absolutely iconic OP: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Eitvlx9Ibw "Night of Summer Side"]]. Besides, it has a really... special PV, with singer Masanori Ikeda even performing pirouettes onstage and playing BadassDriver!
* ''Manga/KnightsOfSidonia'' most certainly qualifies with it's badass opening song, [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/angela---Sidonia/59470ed73fef4d665cb73e26ffcc499e "Sidonia"]].
* ''KOBeast 2'''s OP, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmOyUt48azM Yatsu wa BOMBER]].
* Both of ''{{K-On}}!'''s opening themes and especially its closing theme. There is a reason why the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQzbfctOXfY closer]] and the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NTq6gjhEWk opener]] respectively once held the #1 and #2 spots on the Oricon charts on the same week.
** 8-bit versions of each have [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMWO0895xd8 been]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l18bbYEQang created]].
** Also, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wij8_QMSt2o "Watashi no Koi wa Hotchikisu" (My Love is a Stapler)]], the insert song in Episode 8.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyYsGGbjb8c "Fude Pen Boru Pen"]] was a winner as well, particularly Hikasa's version. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4bCCHHSGTk Mio]] is just better for this song.
** The second ending in Season 2, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZbvZb2XpT4 "No, Thank You!"]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwR4oeQPrRk Light and Fluffy Time.]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xntyp5hzkSI Singing!]], the ending song for the movie.
* ''LightNovel/KoreWaZombieDesuKa'' has many epic themes, including [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TePmyTRbl6Y the opening]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pKBbDIqlwE the ending]], and many of the [=OSTs=], like [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc9eYdQepAc This]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvXNE6YvKUQ 100%]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Oaar8s4i6E 120%]], this memorable gem [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCsFvzBhRaI Ore, Zombie Ssu!]], and best of all, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FdPt74_2ck#t=3m40s Play Seraphim!]]
** On the more peaceful side, there's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82B7ZFiJKGA Kumori Nochi Hare]]. Many of the songs in the soundtrack are SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic actually.
* The 2nd opening theme to ''{{Kurokami}}: The Animation'', [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uSycIieByM "tRANCE"]] by GRANRODEO, is 100% pure awesome, with metal-esque riff, some awesome soloing, a hooky chorus, and liberal Engrish ("Death Through Trance" indeed). After the cheesy synth-pop 1st Opening Theme this is downright refreshing, just like "WHAT'S UP PEOPLE" was to Death Note.
** Then there's the anime's first opening, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zobE-EG8qaI "Sympathizer"]].
* ''{{Kobato}}.'' [[SpellMyNameWithAnS period put there on purpose]], had a great combination of opening an closing, [[http://soundcloud.com/biyao69/01-magic-number "Magic Number"]] gave a great sense of Kobato as a person and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPV03zV1xYY "Jellyfish no Kokuhaku"]] is something you can sing your kids to sleep to.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmkN2NLDeoc "Systematic People"]], the OP for ''Literature/{{Kurozuka}}''. A fast-paced, intense piece of electronica by Wagdug Futuristic Unity, with a {{cameo}} by the lead singer of Music/MaximumTheHormone. The lyrics are done in English, although between the loud music and the singer's Japanese accent, it's hard to tell. LoveItOrHateIt, you won't forget it.
* One of the best parts about watching ''LightNovel/KyoukaiNoKanata'' was listening to its mellow ending theme, [[https://soundcloud.com/komurofansub/daisy-stereo-dive-foundation "Daisy"]].
* ''Anime/{{Kyousogiga}}'' has the charming and colorful [[http://musicinanime.tumblr.com/post/65142458446/koko-tamurapan-anime-kyousougiga "Koko"]] as its opening song and the kickass [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRVMfEILg2o "Shissou Ginga"]] as its ending theme.
* The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suJhakfC6RY opening song]] to ''Anime/LastExile''. Beautiful cloud age symphony, indeed.
** The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBMPmb7euy8 ending song]], too. Aided by Alvis' moeness.
* ''Anime/LuckyStar'' has [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNfHOQ5p2Js "Gravity"]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qg-aQHAaAVk Here's]] the full version.
** Gravity is done as a parody of the group M.O.V.E. M.O.V.E. then [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HXVwNnhz04 covered the parody]] and made it even ''that'' much more awesome!
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7QEYIDrcxI "Koi no Minoru Densetsu"]] is pure awesome.
*** There's also the slower paced [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXBehCPrsNw "Kaorin's Theme"]] and... yes, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90x2cuWDA60 "Ore no Wasuremono"]].
*** After Minoru's SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LnQLgo6vfg he sings the ED,]] which is the [[FunnyMoments hilarious embodiment of]] StylisticSuck. Then you hear the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-ezFlGm_7Y album version]].
** The opening ([[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieQ1rAIjzXc "Motteke! Sailor Fuku"]]) Especially the tear-jerking version used for background music in the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0_2N-INpWE end of Episode 24]] (About 2:35 in--if anyone just has the song itself--that would just be awesome)
*** And here it is [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJJs-ELeshY on piano.]] It turns [[WidgetSeries weird Japanese music]] into a peppy ragtime-type tune, and then at [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic 0:54]] it blows you away.
*** Wait, wait, wait! We're not done with covers yet! Do you prefer it [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5LFReFumVM Hot Blooded]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB-UV69j1Lw Burly]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUmgpmUpZ7Y Fabulous]], or [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPnNmvhDI0A Snarky]]?
*** Try also the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmYxTAS4fak Dance remix version(s)]].
** One of the best {{Image Song}}s from Lucky Star is [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRSjGD5PCeQ "Kenka Yohou no Jikan dayo"]] by the local {{Tsundere}} Kagami Hiiragi. The first seconds will grab your attention because of its fast-paced rock/techno beat.
*** For more in this vein, try [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3quX9YsUcE "Anime Tenchou!"]]
** The other AscendedMeme of the series, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdzPB0Zg0uY "Kumikyoku Lucky Star Douga"]] is a fitting musical sendoff for the series (as well as being a massive 15 minute {{Earworm}}). The live concert appropriately used it for the encore.
** And then there's the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6k9vAhEgKt4 epic trumpets-and-drums]] theme used whenever awesome is occuring (it's called [[{{Gunbuster}} Bun Guster]]). Also the restful [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3qS3pIWfEE BGM for the MMORPG]] Konata's always playing (called [[Franchise/FinalFantasy Filna Fatansy]]).
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZZz0ZeY6Rw The opening theme]] to ''Manga/MagicKnightRayearth'' is the epitome of this trope. Gets an awesome reprise, lyrics and all, in the last episode when the girls were approaching the final showdown.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-51rSTkTO0Y The duet between Kalafina and ELISA]] made this song even more epic!
** Another great song from the MKR OST, though it was never played in the actual anime: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slkR-qr-BXU "Taiyou Yori Atsui Kimochi"]] ("Feelings Hotter than the Sun").
* Old-school (i.e. pre-''Anime/SailorMoon'') MagicalGirl show ''MagicalIdolPastelYumi'' has its OP, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5DMWFaZde4 "Kinno Ribbon de Rock Shite"]].
* ''Manga/MagiLabyrinthOfMagic'' has some catchy and addictive tunes in Season 1 in the form of its first opening, [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/SID---VIP/0d5f9e0493e6bf37af023302ba4eb5cf "V.I.P"]] and second opening, [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/Porno-Graffitti---Matataku-Hoshi-no-Shita-de/6b3578574ad6f6e1244cde3c990e9bfa "Matataku Hoshi no Shita de"]].
** Season 2 ups the ante with the second opening [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/ViViD---HIKARI/12c2c922d9722d2d727d65426a0b0438 "HIKARI"]] and the second ending [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/9nine---With-You--With-Me/6014925787e513b7adf5cd897ea881a4 "With You / With Me"]].
* There's no better way to start off ''Manga/MagicKaito 1412'' than with its first-rate opening [[https://soundcloud.com/animemusicbox/lagoon-kimi-no-matsu-sekai-magic-kaito-1412-opening "Kimi no Matsu Sekai"]] and end it with its strangely captivating ending song, [[https://soundcloud.com/vale-percia/revalcy-white-of-crime "WHITE of CRIME"]].
* ''Anime/MawaruPenguindrum'' has some incredible tracks, but [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyMTX4vZNpI "Children of Destiny and Fruits"]] is definitely the pinnacle. '''BE AWARE THE IMAGE ON THE VIDEO CONTAINS SPOILERS.'''
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcCF3dfxtT0 "Never Let Me Go-Bonds"]] gets an honourable mention as well.
* ''MartianSuccessorNadesico'' has the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SjE9mEqxhw theme]] to ''{{Gekiganger 3}}'', ''Let's Go! Gekiganger 3''. "Let's go passion!"
** ''Nadesico'''s own [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_HgF0kdmqY opening theme]] is pure [[GratuitousEnglish Engrish]] win, as well. Title says it all, really.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tvAh0RrDBU I want to be your number one]] aka Ruri's song.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tAF_PLLwV4 You get to burning: Ode to Gai mix]], ManlyTears in musical form!
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQupcichRJQ The English version]] of the ''Medabots'' theme song. No, really.
* ''Anime/MekakuCityActors'' opening theme [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d2iLvb3mwQ "daze"]] and ending theme [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sPDPr3S7Zg "days"]] are both very good.
* Although it's obvious by now that [[HypeAversion you'll skip this paragraph over]] when you see the title ''MermaidMelodyPichiPichiPitch'', [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAtt0c9nxMA "Kuro no Kyousoukyoku -concerto-"]] is one awesome VillainSong. ''Especially'' during the Black Beauty Sisters' SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEuw4ruzJrQ Full version here]].
** Also [[VillainousCrossdresser Lady]] [[KissoftheVampire Bat]]'s [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdX72WCNchQ "Ankoku no Tsubasa"]]. It has a catchy tune (in a good way) and a really cool guitar solo. And Lady Bat's voice is cool.
** As for the heroes, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sheYInY5VYY "Kizuna"]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZrq-faaal4 "Kodou"]] are pretty impressive [[ThePowerOfRock battle songs]]. As Lazy and or cheap the Italian dubbers were towards the production of their dub for this anime they did create one or two ear worms! Primarily the group songs Dolce Melodia and Battito D'amore and the solo Stella Preziosa.
* At the climax of OsamuTezuka's ''Metropolis'', [[spoiler:Rock, of all people]], ends up saving the day from revolting robots by hitting the ziggurat's self-destruct button. Cue Ray Charles' "I Can't Stop Loving You" playing over the ensuing images of destruction.
** The soundtrack to Metropolis, by Toshiyuki Honda, is just one big pile of win. If you like some nice retro jazz, take a [[http://new.music.yahoo.com/toshiyuki-honda/albums/metropolis-original-motion-picture-soundtrack--19048954 listen]].
* The opening and ending themes of ''Manga/MinamiKe'' may be pretty ordinary, if catchy--but the soundtrack itself contains some marvelous pieces. A lot of it is fairly minimalistic, yet full of atmosphere. Yasuhiro Misawa, the composer, obviously listened a lot to Philip Glass. Not bad for a comedy show.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlwV3scCgAM This]] is what got ''Anime/MiraculousLadybug'' so much attention before it was even released.
* The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKC0VtlwBn4 first opening]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pffz3UqKnWU ending]] themes of ''MiraiNikki'' definitely qualify for SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic, not to mention [[http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHdV4DijtDU89AnHZD_dwDJGv6q_ZI_OU the OST]].
** The second opening, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfaERWpIIkY "Dead END"]] is also very good if you can get pass the fact that it's purely {{Engrish}} (Not that you'd ever know by listening to it.)
** And finally, the second ending, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFUJ-AMtTHg "filament"]] is now out to be added to this list!
** All the songs in the OST are unnamed, but the songs that played [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fw7DyjOW9RQ when Yukiteru was fighting Sixth]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A99CP9nnLrQ when Deus told everyone the rules of the Survival Game in the first episode]], and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A99CP9nnLrQ whenever all-around badassery is going down]] are some of the best.
** Speaking of Deus, we also have his theme, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VouHZBgbhs "EGOIST"]].
** On the Blu-Ray and DVD releases, we got an alternate opening and ending: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIgxTWo4rSY "Kyouki Chinden"]] by Yousei Teikoku and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDsmlxKYIrw "Happy End"]] by faylan.
* ''{{Mnemosyne}}'' has [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ_mn-fQBeY "Alsatia"]] as its OP, written by Galneryus, really pumps you up for the all the blood, guts, lesbians, and rape.
** Galneryus also performed the ED, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23ipxjGy2eE "Cause Disarray"]]. Somehow it's very relaxing... possibly because it means the blood, guts, and rape are almost over.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2WEZngxDFQ "Seeds of Time"]] from ''Anime/{{Monster}}''. There's a reason it shows up so many times. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlvvXDfl_Ks "Medium Shot"]] too.
** And [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpLMLN-VpeM "What Do I See"]]. The music for a certain SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome in Episode 72.
*** [[spoiler: "Those calculations don't add up in the computer inside my head."]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qI_SrN8jtk "We'll Be Waiting for the Night"]]: [[spoiler: "You weren't wrong. What you did back then... and what you're going to do now."]] Cue ManlyTears.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awzNxCazXHQ "For The Love Of Life"]] is a distinctly haunting song in the context of the series.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IG7yZ33ILbs "Grain"]], the opening theme, counts as well.
* The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rSZN8i7UTs opening]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJfkrpZeu_s theme]] to ''Mahou Shoujo Tai Arusu'' (known as Tweeny Witches in America).
* The ''entirety'' of the ''Manga/{{Mushishi}}'' OST. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlbxNeOmjEE "Mushishi" no Theme]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84XVtCTeBUg "Ame ga Kuru Niji ga Tatsu"]] in particular are obscenely beautiful.
** The opening themes deserve a mention, especially when you consider that they're both sung in [[ForeignLanguageTheme English]]. Season 1 gave us [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBBFDb0hC4Y "The Sore Feet Song"]] while Season 2 gave us [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1o84y-5-cO0 "Shiver"]].
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDsk8LRZPaI "Tears Infection"]] by KAORI, OP to ''MyselfYourself''.
* The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHG4KBBnKxs opening song]] to ''Murder Princess'' is pure awesomeness.
* "Your Gravitation" from ''My Bride is a Mermaid''. Both [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qViouiurM7o the Japanese]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8H6VE92k5_o the English dub.]] Oh hell yeah.
* ''Anime/NagiNoAsukara'' has two stellar ending themes in [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/yanaginagi---Aqua-Terrarium/79fb4f0fc89f8a52603fa62c77252b9e "Aqua Terrarium"]] and [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/Nagi-Yanagi---Mitsuba-no-Musubime/a4922bdc6e69736e3ed982e7846c6807 "Mitsuba no Musubime"]].
** The second opening theme, [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/Ray---ebb-and-flow/6af12e2e3798be180c071e86abdd7471 "ebb and flow"]] is also quite nice. As is the first opening theme, [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/Ray---Lull-~Soshite-Bokura-wa~/bc4c8aa4d384bc559ed354f4a08e1756 "lull ~Soshite Bokura wa~]].
** The insert song of Episode 25, [[https://soundcloud.com/lokeasprouse/nagi-no-asukara-ed03-mnemonic "mnemonic"]] makes for soothing and laid-back piece out-of-context, but within the context of the episode is used to set up the climax and resolution of the story.
* ''Manga/{{Nana}}'' has an awesome soundtrack to accommodate the musical focus of the original manga. Listen to [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYtLk2GwLLs "rose"]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gQQlPYeZmg "Winter Sleep"]], by fictional bands BLACK STONES and TRAPNEST respectively. The other songs used in the series are just as awesome. For example:
** BLACK STONES: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJR3kgl0K9E "LUCY"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmkw1SnA-Y8 "Kuroi Namida"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmJrOtK9uZ0 "stand by me"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bXWO_qXcwo "zero"]], and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQPBldlbkBM "I'm addicted to you"]].
** TRAPNEST: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJ75bNytX5o "Wish"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH4oDR3tWN4 "a little pain"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTv3JIRcgF4 "Starless Night"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaMAcaeI_QM "Recorded Butterflies"]], and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwseNSW0PdE "Shadow of Love"]].
* ''Manga/NanatsuNoTaizai'' brings to the table its opening, [[http://musicinanime.tumblr.com/post/100079671320/netsujou-no-spectrum-ikimono-gakari-anime "Netsujou no Spectrum",]] and its ending theme, [[http://musicinanime.tumblr.com/post/101535680455/7-seven-flow-x-granrodeo-anime-seven-deadly "7 -seven-"]].
* The opening music, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YgkS5Bo0hc "Ai no Fugue"]], to the otherwise obscure anime ''Nazca''.
* Say whatever you want about ''Anime/NegimaSecondSeason'', but [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtL57XeEvyI "1000% SPARKING!"]] is perhaps the best thing ever.
** Similarly, the OP to the original series, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCCOEOihmt0 "Happy Material"]], was probably the best thing to come out of that anime.
** It has been remixed something like eight times... [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A3x1jsAREM this thirty-one girl medley]] combines nearly ''all'' of them.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mvj6Hx8MuSE "Pactio!!"]] blew them all away.
* ''{{Needless}}'' with intros like [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzPypTqMHZ0 "Modern Strange Cowboy"]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDDAissx5HQ "Scarlet Bomb"]] following up was pretty hard anyway.
** The BGM sure wasn't lacking with rocking tracks like [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1neasQTIqA "Chasing Truth"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh4AFY5zPuE "Assailant in the Night"]], and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Xue4KqvsXw "Slave of Your Ghost"]].
* ''Manga/{{Nisekoi}}'' has some stupidly catchy songs. Aside from the opening themes [[http://musicinanime.tumblr.com/post/74547756216/click-claris-anime-nisekoi "CLICK"]] and [[http://musicinanime.tumblr.com/post/84231666455/step-claris-anime-nisekoi "STEP"]] by anisong favorites Music/{{ClariS}}, each of the girls in Raku's "harem" has an ending theme for the series. In order: [[https://soundcloud.com/pyro77-1/02-heart-pattern "Heart Pattern"]] (Chitoge), [[https://soundcloud.com/christianhellscythew/onodera-kosaki-cv-hanazawa-kana-recover-decoration "Recover Decoration"]] (Onodera), [[https://soundcloud.com/lag_rin/mikako-komatsu-trick-box "TRICK BOX"]] (Tsugumi), [[https://soundcloud.com/synclipse/marika-tachibana-hanagonomi "Hanagonomi"]] (Marika), [[https://soundcloud.com/synclipse/souzou-diary "Souzou Diary"]] (Chitoge, Onodera, Tsugumi and Marika), and [[https://soundcloud.com/winara-s/nisekoi-ed4-order-x-order "Order X Order"]] (Ruri).
* The opening theme of ''LightNovel/NoGameNoLife'', [[http://musicinanime.tumblr.com/post/86014845075/this-game-suzuki-konomi-anime-no-game-no-life "This Game"]], is simply fantastic, both in the emotional singing and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRd9g-Uw50M accompanying visuals]].
* ''NodameCantabile'' takes places at a music college, so naturally has awesome music all over--if you're into classical, that is. Of special note is the rendition of Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue", with many parts played on melodicas. It works ''very'' well and actually manages to surpass many other performances in the show in its originality.
** Some mention must go to the openings and endings, too. Try [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6XYRkYzQUg "Tokyo et Paris"]], a lovely mix of violin and female vocals [[EverythingsSexierInFrench sung in French]], and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZZAd3BVHV4 "Allegro Cantabile"]], which captures the utter joy of mastering and performing music.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqkScylmKW0 "Konna ni Chikaku de..."]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGPt-zl0cUI "Sagittarius"]], [[https://soundcloud.com/maouzero/nodame-cantabile-paris-hen-sky "Sky High"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAztd8EAGDw "Manazashi Daydream"]], and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEtcDr8TArQ "Kaze to Oka no Ballad"]] all deserve some mention as well.
* So, so much from ''Anime/{{Noein}}'', but here's a couple of highlights: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au8Jo371oWM "Shangri-La"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEifJUOWJo0 "Karasu's Theme"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cToZS9GSfjs "Kakute, Tatakau"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMBBkzVtzOo "Ryuukihei-tachi no Tatakai"]]...
* One may argue on the SoundtrackDissonance of the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUrgoZrZMkc opening theme]] from ''Manga/NoMatterHowILookAtItItsYouGuysFaultImNotPopular'', but it is in itself downright awesome, being more of a battle theme than a slice of life anthem.
* ''Manga/{{Noragami}}'' had [[https://soundcloud.com/anime-all/tia-heart-realize "Heart Realize"]] as its ending theme. And when your song was composed by {{Supercell}}, you already know it's gonna be an awesome song. The opening song, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J69oCCM1EcI "Goya no Machiawase"]] just screams and oozes badass.
* ''Anime/NowAndThenHereAndThere'', a moody series with some very moody music. The music (and images for that matter) in the closing credits is hauntingly beautiful. However, if you base the series on those credits alone, you are in for a rough surprise. -- This entry is based on the US dub, just in case there is a difference in music between Japan and the US...
* ''Anime/OjamajoDoremi'' has several to choose from.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPZbxR87tYk All]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZxgxqOvNnA five]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS5dhkU1sDc openings]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWbpy-2CnPw in]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U24w8L7gWwM particular]].
* The OP for ''OniisamaE'', the magnificent and clasically-inspired [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvU7ZwpAoHU "Kin no Utsuwa, Gin no Utsuwa"]] by Satomi Takada. Awesome.
* ''Origin: Spirits of the Past'' has a particularly awesome opening [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xGoR23Wouk theme]]. It kicks off at the 0:50 second mark.
* ''OuranHighSchoolHostClub'''s ending theme [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mc1FvrL4EqA "Shissou"]] is surprisingly badass for a shoujo series, and made the final episode's SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome[=/=][[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments Heartwarming]] even better.
** The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7r2cVmOADws strings version of "Sakura Kiss"]] is particularly lovely.
* The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0N3L-pcGdc opening]] of ''OutlawStar'': [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrjUj-FRorY "Through the Night"]].
** The serene ending themes to the show. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz1508RBx2w "Hiro no Tsuki"]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08CPfRABiZs "Tsuki no Ie"]] (the latter being one of the best ending themes ever) adds a calming factor from all the action that happens in the show.
* The opening [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYEG5GrdGws "King Gainer Over!"]] and the closing "Can You Feel My Soul" from ''OvermanKingGainer''.
** How about the score written by Kouhei "G Gundam" Tanaka?
* ''Anime/ParanoiaAgent'', scored by Susumu Hirasawa. May seem more like ParanoiaFuel Music [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-anabfAg06U with the visuals]], but awesome nonetheless.
* While on the subject of Satoshi Kon, Susumu Hirasawa's work in ''{{Paprika}}'' cannot be ignored. See:
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=563g0l1oBh0 "Meditational Field"]], the semi-OP.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBwTX-923Hs The Girl in Byakkoya/White Tiger Field]], the alternate mix with vocals, or
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDWsYH-ajvI "Parade"]], the song about insanity. It fully conveys this.
* ''{{Manga/Parasyte}}'' brings one of the most, if not the most, awesome anime song in 2014, [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/Fear%252C-and-Loathing-in-Las-Vegas---Let-Me-Hear/b6e4a984f2d623511e562551142b3d36 "Let Me Hear".]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afs4EfLyTzI "Next to You"]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BoOqgt0soU "Kill the Puppets"]] work effectively to add tension to the scenes before and during [[spoiler: Izumi's first encounter with the Parasite that killed his mother.]]
* More ''Creepy'' Music than Awesome really, though it manages to do both, but ''Anime/PerfectBlue''[='=]s [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBxsRiG5eYU "Baachiya Mima"]]. If this song does not make you want to crawl under the bed and hide, nothing will.
* ''[[PhantomOfInferno Phantom ~ Requiem for the Phantom]]'' has KOKIA's haunting melody [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCs7RjDSCYM "Karma"]], the first opening to the series.
* ''Manga/PingPong: The Animation'' had some standout music with its opening song [[https://soundcloud.com/ardian045/ping-pong-the-animation-op-tada-hitori-by-bakudan-johnny "Tada Hitori"]] and endings [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqxzXesDHu0 "Ano Hero to' Bokura ni Tsuite"]] and [[https://soundcloud.com/dollarsfansub/ano-yoake-mae-no-bokura-ni-tsuite "Ano Yoake Mae no' Bokura ni Tsuite"]].
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZpsPws6XKE "Kimi no Koe"]] from ''Anime/ThePlacePromisedInOurEarlyDays'' can basically be summed up as Heartwarming Music.
* ''{{Planetes}}'' has [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOZ6UrmzYXM "Dive in the Sky"]]. We've also got the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNYFAbK06Uw "Earth seen from Space"]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-5Q5JbjwW4 "PLANETES ~Affettuosso~"]], the final ending theme.
* From ''{{Pretear}}'', we get [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ulw8UKqGwCs "White Destiny"]].
* ''Anime/PrincessTutu'' deserves a mention for making classical ballet music sound badass, especially scenes like [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJ0GqT5qr08 this]], and very much [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7IGvSqvX7Q this]]. (Careful, the last one has spoilers.)
** Also [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsipExvcHgM the opening song]] for Princess Tutu.
* ''Anime/PsychoPass'' has several awesome tracks. For example:
** [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/Rin-toshite-shigure---abnormalize/58c95093519c3856e04234625fd1aa6e "Abnormalize"]], the song for the first opening.
** [[http://soundcloud.com/amilie-ping/psycho-pass-out-of-control "Out of Control"]], the song for the second opening.
** And then there is the music from the OST, such as [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nArpKw8ObM0 "PSYCHO-PASS Main Theme"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW_CZyIwX-8 "Human Mind (Hito no Kokoro)"]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcaFf5RwrBY "Law and Order (Hou to Chitsujou)"]], and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kDvaLxWgJw "The Way of Life (Inochi no Arikata)"]].
** Also from the OST, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsUhq8DC6Xc "Dominator"]].
** The first ending theme, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyJCjbXzcKc "Namae no Nai Kaibutsu"]] and the second ending theme, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Hq0-47hyds "All Alone With You"]].
** Ling Tosite Sigure and EGOIST have both returned to do Season 2's OP and ED, in the form of [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/Ling-tosite-sigure---Enigmatic-Feeling/728e5377b62d37ab734e2e301014ed50 "Enigmatic Feeling"]] and [[http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/EGOIST---Fallen/ef7c1db51296e1ea65090ee6220f3380 "Fallen"]] respectively.
* From ''Anime/ProjectAKo'', there's "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCLtDklACKM Morning Light Type A]]", "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fDB2MBL-OA Morning Light Type C]]", "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGZrFn3FAfY Jealous Eyes]]", "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dy9ja4tD8tY Spaceship in the Dark]]", "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEB8el0_fiI Explosion]]", and the all-English songs "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITfD4Rpy0EM In Your Eyes]]", "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fo1EZ9ZhBF4 Dance Away]]" ([[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2s5QkVmI68 instrumental]]), and "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNVWT9NXY1Q Follow Your Dream]]" ([[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qc-o6a1RAU instrumental]]).
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iktrCW1ZOxQ "Aoki Flamme"]], the first opening theme of ''PumpkinScissors''. This was awesome enough to be used in a [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEcVTrYVCC0 Touhou video]].
