Rawlins initially says that this gives him no reason to comply, then James turns it around on him: if he doesn't, she will ''personally'' turn Rawlins over to the Department of Homeland Security, whatever consequences to herself, the agency, or the country be ''damned''.]] William Rawlins is the archetypical evil spy that people associate with black ops CIA, but Marion James is ''not'' that person.

* Doubles as Nightmare Fuel, but when Russo cuts the lock on Frank's wrists... you know Rawlins is FUCKED. Gruesome as it is, the sheer CatharsisFactor is worth it. The look of sheer, pants-filling righteous fury on his face edges into NightmareFuel, but god''damn'' it is satisfying.

** Also consider the fact that Frank was on the brink of death no more than a day before, with a myriad of injuries including a ''punctured lung.'' Despite this, and taking several bullets to the armor in his chest, he still manages to take down someone who is arguably the second most badass character in the series. Frank is one tough son of a bitch.
* The fact that Madani took a bullet to the head on and lives is pretty awesome.

* Franks first fight with the Mooks who try to take Amy. He basically slaughters ''almost all'' of them.
** Hell the first three that he takes on in the bathroom of the bar he [[CurbStompBattle curb stomps]] using nothing but just his belt as protection from the knife attacks.

** What makes the BarBrawl even more awesome is that Creator/JonBernthal did is with a broken hand. ''And he didn't tell anybody about it until afterwards''. He ''is'' Frank Castle.

* Frank slaughtering Pilgrim's men in the woods, using marksmanship, speed and cunning to wipe out a small army of henchmen. He's so silent and stealthy one of the goons actually shoots another, thinking he was Frank. Frank then [[OffhandBackhand nonchalantly]] puts a bullet in his head before he even realizes his mistake.
* Sheriff Hardin refusing to turn Castle and Amy over to the Pilgrim and his Mooks. Even though doing so would him and his fellow officers a lot of pain

* Frank taking on the Russian gang in the gym and using the weights equipment takes them all out. Frank may not be as good a hand to combatant as Daredevil but he’s still pretty damn good in a fight when needed.

Cue Frank "The Punisher" Castle chucking his disguise to reveal yet again the famous white skull flak jacket. . . the very same one he wore when he thrashed Billy Russo last time around. [[NotWearingTights The series holds off on "The Skull" quite often]], so whenever you see it is a [=CMoA=] in and of itself. . . but they always manage to pick just the right moments to bust it out.

* Amy is being held at gunpoint by a bounty hunter. The instant she gets the opportunity, she employs the disarming move Frank taught her, relieves the bounty hunter of his HandCannon, and with barely a second's hesitation shoots him in the chest.

* Mahoney managing to catch Frank and Madani as they try to escape, hold them at gunpoint and finally drive off with Frank handcuffed in an ambulance. Not too shabby for a guy Madani previously dismissed as "an NYPD dick who can't catch his breath."

* Madani managing to put several bullets into Russo, mortally wounding and leading to him bleeding out in Curtis basement. Frank arrives to see Russo begging for his life and trying to talk to Frank, but Frank is in no mood to listen to anymore of Russo's sob story and finally finishes him off with two bullets.
* The final scene of the episode and of the series as a whole has Frank fully embraced the title of The Punisher. He lures two gangs to an empty building and, as it looks like they are about to start a fight with each other, Frank walks up in his signature long black jacket with the Skull symbol exposed and proceeds to release a load of bullets onto them as the screen cuts to black.
* Frank and Amy dealing with John Pilgrim's psychopathic Christian extremist bosses (Who are the reason Amy has been on the run). Frank shoots the mother for trying to stab her with a knife, and then lets the father know that he recorded his rant about threatening to kill everyone close to him and says he has two choices-either he lives and all of his dirty laundry gets aired in public, or he commits suicide, he chooses the latter.

* After the mass shooting in Las Vegas and several other incidents of gun violence, many were calling for the show's release to be cancelled from fear it would be glorifying gun culture with a quasi-fascist edge like the Punisher in comics has long been accused of glorifying. Instead, the issue was tackled dead-on with the characters of Lewis Wilson, O'Connor and Senator Stan Ori; a story arc that spans the entire season was added specifically as a thoughtful meditation on the issue that allows both sides equal arguing time, and specifically points out just what makes Frank something more than just the RightWingMilitiaFanatic he's often painted as.

* Other than the eight episode ''Series/TheDefenders'', the MCU Netflix series before this one all faced accusations of suffering from EndingFatigue as they struggled to stretch their plot over thirteen episodes. ''The Punisher'' finally breaks the pattern and was heralded as being the first of the shows to fully stick the landing and fill all its time well.

To his credit, the first thug recovers and goes after Frank again...only for Frank to give him one of the most gruesome kills in the series, crushing his skull to the point that the man barely looks human anymore.
