* July 23, 2015: James and Music/PaulaAbdul recreate the "Opposites Attract" video, with James as MC Scat Kat.
* Whenever James surprises/impresses one of his fellow passengers with his singing in the Carpool Karaoke segments. Not quite HiddenDepths, since he's appeared both on Broadway and in the ''Theatre/IntoTheWoods'' movie (and hosted the Tonys), but it's definitely gratifying. Check out his, Music/NickJonas, and Music/{{Demi Lovato}}'s harmonies when they sing "Jealous" a cappella.
** In the Music/GwenStefani installment, she tells him what she's singing during the fast patter part of "The Sweet Escape." When they start singing along again, James ''immediately nails it.''
*** Similarly, in the Broadway installment the week before the Tony Awards, he delivered [[Theatre/{{Hamilton}} LaFayette's first verse from "Guns and Ships"]] ''almost perfectly''. Granted, he did slip up on the second verse, but still, those are the fastest lines in the history of Broadway, and he did an impressive job holding his own.
** James's harmony when singing along with [[Music/{{Adele}} "Hello"]]. When Adele tells him he sounds amazing, he [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments gives a]] [[{{Adorkable}} little]] [[{{Squee}} squee]].
** The ''entire'' Michelle Obama/Music/MissyElliott ride is a huge Moment of Awesome, but special mention goes to James nailing a verse of "Get Ur Freak On" that neither Michelle nor Missy are shown to remember. Missy even gawks for a second when she sees how much he remembers.
** Adele's rapping along to "Monster" was [[http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/15/entertainment/nicki-minaj-adele-feat/ good enough to impress]] Music/NickiMinaj herself.
** During his drive with Music/OneDirection, when he hits the high note in "Best Song Ever" the boys' jaws ''drop.''
* At the 2016 Creative Arts Emmys, the show managed to win the prize for Best Interactive Program. Additionally, the Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special won the award for Best Variety Special over things like ''Adele Live in New York City'' and Beyoncé's ''Lemonade''.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sh9giaTKbv4 "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts"]] with [[Series/JimmyKimmelLive Jimmy Kimmel]]. Jimmy happily eats everything placed in front of him (which he partially owes to smoking a joint beforehand). He even starts eating pig blood curd ''before James asks the first question!''
* The Christmas episode of Carpool Karaoke has Mariah Carey asking James to sing her hit, "All I Want for Christmas Is You". He obliges, and the rest of the video turns into an epic compilation of ''most of the previous CK guests singing the song, having recorded the material in their respective episodes.'' It's not only an awesome moment in itself, but the secrecy and planning behind it is doubly awesome.
* February 2, 2017: In which a portly British man [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUuuWyCkS_U is briefly the lead singer of]] Music/{{Queen|Band}}.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCQ7OHSKfFk This edition]] of Drop the Mic pits James against an actual rapper, the one and only [[Music/WuTangClan Method Man]]. A suicidal idea, but while Method Man is (naturally) the winner, James actually holds his own surprisingly well.
** After Corden burns him, Method Man tells him he's "gotta die." ("die" as in get served REAL hard) When Corden does it again and the audience rings out with cheers, Method Man actually turns on ''the audience itself'' and declares, "Now ''all'' y'all gotta die."
* December 12, 2019: Creator/JeffGoldblum opens his {{Guest Host}}ing gig with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIAlP0yXH4A an original song that evolves into a huge production number]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p16Mn4X_aFk&t=84s Alison Brie's extremely classy response]] to the social media explosion regarding Marvel's casting call for ComicBook/SheHulk. To explain: a casting call was sent out by MCU producers to find an "Alison Brie type" to play She-Hulk in an upcoming live-action film. To which the Internet collectively responded: [[StatingTheSimpleSolution "Um, why don't you just get Alison Brie?"]] Alison's response was apparently to feel humbled and honored that, after years of auditioning for a certain "type" of character, she had finally become a type of her own.
