* A very strong meta example. While some film purists might snark at this moderate budgeted television show with clear elements of camp and intention of appealing to children, to many now-adult Western fans this was ''the'' first Godzilla they got wide exposure to and served as the GatewaySeries to the entire franchise. Need proof? Both Gareth Edwards and Michael Dougherty directly named this series as a big part of their childhood, and lovingly referenced the show in their respective Godzilla films right alongside nods to the Toho movies. Without this show, it's very possible ''Film/MonsterVerse'' and by extension, the [=2010s=] revival of the Godzilla franchise wouldn't have happened!

* Godzilla vs. Cobra. No, not THAT [[Franchise/GIJoe Cobra]], but it's the same general concept of a private army with a full-standing military. And Godzilla effortlessly tears them apart, rampaging across their island fortress until nothing is left standing with absolutely nothing Cobra uses so much as slowing him down.
