* There's already a sequel in comic book form! Boom Studios, the same company doing the current PR comic, is releasing a direct sequel to the movie in Power Rangers: Aftershock. No waiting two or three years, we get a follow up the same year.

While an argument could be made for Deadpool since Creator/RyanReynolds has stated that the character is still pansexual in the [[{{Film/Deadpool}} movie]], he only shows interest in his girlfriend. An argument could also be made that Trini is actually going through a normal teenage phase where she is questioning her sexuality and may not be LGBT at all. Either way, it did make history of a superhero questioning their sexuality.

* Rita has the team tied up in magical bonds on the side of a ship. She mocks Jason for his bad leadership and he replies by ''head-butting'' her. Rita just laughs it off but points to Jason for the nice try.

** Billy being the first explicitly stated autistic superhero. The movie doesn't make any kind of big deal about this and he's an equal hero with the rest of the team. With all the other groups getting demands for increased representation in entertainment, the neuro-atypical got pretty lost in the shuffle, but then this film comes out of nowhere with a great example of how to do it.

* Jason arrives in Saturday morning detention to see Billy being hassled by a bully. Jason's immediate response? To ''literally'' slap the bully down, before warning him in no-uncertain terms, "I'll sit here, you sit over there, and we'll get on just fine."

** While Bryan Cranston and Bill Hader had trouble with it, Elizabeth Banks apparently learned it well enough that she was essentially fluent.

* The Megazord coming together like a pissed god coming out of hell.

* The Rangers try to ambush Rita... and she completely cleans their clocks in about ten seconds, not getting hit at all. Granted, they weren't morphed but still had super-strength and outnumbered her yet Rita doesn't even make beating them look difficult.

** Even better is that for the first time, Rita's smug grin and air of superiority fades and she just stares in absolute horror as if realizing she's screwed.
