* According to the plot synopsis, this will be the first time the CMC have a role in taking down a major villain. Sure, it will be alongside the Student 6, but that's a big step up for them, considering the last time they were seen as having any role in a two-parter was being Discord's first victims as he started to break free in season 2.
** Not to mention that the Student 6 will ''be fighting the villain''. All of them are kids, with Sandbar being a teen at best, only two of them (Smolder and Ocellus) are confirmed to have any sort of battle-ready skills (standard dragon abilities and shapeshifting respectively), they only recently became friends and ''none'' of them have access to Unicorn style magic normally and other than Ocellus when in certain morphs, may not have magic ''at all'' so this is a battle consisting of the CMC, a dragon, a Changeling and a bunch of BadassNormal kids. This may sound like an AndZoidberg situation but considering some of the feats we've seen Applejack and Pinkie pull off, this episode might be canon confirmation that Earth Ponies might not have magic or flight but they are not helpless or useless.

* Trixie demonstrating a brief bout of self levitation, a spell that has generally been shown used only by more powerful magic users. She also creates a partially shield to protect Starlight from flames. Seems likely that she has picked up a few more tricks from Starlight since "All Bottled Up".

* Lightning Dust has overcome her setback, founded her own team and is still the terrific flier she was in the academy. Her teammates are also really gifted.
** The stunts they show their audience are simply spectacular. Even Rainbow is speechless.
* Despite not appearing among the audience, Rainbow Dash [[BigDamnHeroes shows up]] ''right'' when Scootaloo needs to be saved from the stunt gone awry.
** This is Rainbow Dash's loyalty at its finest. Scootaloo may have stopped being her fan, but Rainbow Dash hasn't stopped being her friend or surrogate big sister.

* While she still has a bit of her old inflated ego, Trixie mentions that ponies just call her by her name - and she doesn't seem to mind them not including her MilesGloriosus titles anymore - when Hoo'far calls her "Ms. Powerful". The lessons in humility really are paying off.

It speaks volumes of his strength that he bested [[AnimalisticAbomination a hill-sized]] [[CelestialBody magic bear]] known to be a terror among ponies on his own. And he wasn't a powerful Unicorn wizard like Star Swirl, just a super-strong Earth Pony.
