* The two friends manage to pull of an epic win, Dynamite keeping All Might's attention while Midorang throws out a Rising Sun Smash with as much of One For All as he can handle. All Might is so strong it merely disorients him, but that's still enough of an opening for Dynamite to slap the capture cuffs on him.

* Tenya vs Mei. Having been warned of Mei's scheme earlier by Mayumi, Tenya spurs Mei to show off her support gear in a genuine fight, rather than turn the battle into a glorified showroom. When Mei does so, she actually comes within inches of beating Tenya. He barely manages to maintain enough to momentum to knock Mei out of the ring.

* First is the fact that the Earthen Heart style martial art survived for a good two thousand years.
* The shifu really thought through her selection process, even trying to ward off those who had no morals in regards to fighting.
* Related to the above, the fact that Salome somehow evaded this trap despite being part of the Indomitable Fist style, which eschews virtue in favor of strength.
* Odion proves to a powerhouse, beating both All Might and Regenizard during the course of the tournament. No easy feat even this early in their careers.
* And then he goes on to deliver a hard curb-stomp to Salome for her evil, using techniques based on the VideoGame/LiveALive bosses. Both this and his spirit as a true hero prove he is worthy of being the next shifu of the Earthen Heart.

* The first on-screen transformation of the titular Franchise/SuperSentai.
* Dog's attack on the Omekata, despite being one of impatience, is well-coordinated with Chicken.
* Keigo spots the antidote to Dog's rage poison, carried by a bird under Chicken's control, and shoots it down for Yukiteru to grab. Just as Dog is about to stop him, Yuno blocks using her Quirk. As in, her skin touching her hero costume let's her Quirk turn it into armor.
* Yukiteru follows up by getting the antidote into the water supply, shooting it using everything from the fire suppression system to the garden sprinklers.
* Just as Dog confronts [=SeigiRed=] about his partner, the Red Sentai reveals that Chicken is now a viable target as well.

* Dr. Clef inadvertently changes the course of MHA history by convincing Garaki to stop preaching about his Quirk Singularity Theory (which ultimately got him ostracized in canon and sent him right into All For One's hands) and put his brilliant mind to use in trying to avoid that scenario.
* Turns out busting out Gustav wasn't Waldo's only excursion into the Oldest House. He did so a second time to steal Garaki's Nomu research.
* One of All For One's nameless subordinates deserves a mention. When he hears Garaki is selling copies of Quirks as part of his research project, the thug shells out extra cash for a copy of Garaki's own Quirk, Life Force, to give to All For One. The Symbol of Evil rightly gives the man an extra large bonus on his next paycheck.

* Surprisingly, we get two League recruits in this episode. Gear Woman is a former yakuza member who can liquify her body, and while in that state she can control any machine. She largely does this with a combat robot specced to resemble her body. As for the yakuza family she comes from? It's none other than the Shie Hassakai, since it's revealed she's both Overhaul's adopted cousin and Eri's mother!

* Once Trumpet uses his Quirk to power up the Deika City citizens, Infinite breaks off from Re-Destro to being a FalseFlagOperation. And it's an effective one, leading the MLA soldiers into an alley where there are no cameras and then having Infinite use his Quirk to disguise the League of Villains as the Heights Alliance. While the people see the change, the news feed doesn't. Thus the citizens are tricked into fighting the ''real'' Heights Alliance on camera, getting them labeled as rioters before they even realize the ruse.

* When Skeptic goes out to try and handle the situation directly, he gets shocked by the arrival of the Combined Combatant. And not only is it stronger than the one fought by the Gokaiger centuries ago due to having a few more Combatants to work with, but it's also more ''competent'' due to avoiding the in-fighting that left the last Combined Combatant wide open. Skeptic is so distracted trying to call for backup, and learning that's been outed as an MLA member, that he gets impaled and ultimately killed.
