** King Ghidorah gets several, but of note is when Godzilla, who up till now has basically been the BigBad of the Toho universe and easily its most powerful monster, attacks him and Ghidorah [[CurbStompBattle trounces him in about two seconds]], he even lifts up Big G to show his might.
** The airborne chase between King Ghidorah and Rodan... which ends when Rodan turns around and [[RammingAlwaysWorks rams Ghidorah]]!

** And once again, Rodan shows his impressive durability during the battle by straight up tanking the King of Terror's Gravity Beams, one of which strikes his delicate wings and showed no pain whatsoever and in the same film where Rodan tanked Godzilla's Atomic Breath, truly a BadAssNormal at his finest.

Rodan ''actually'' lifts Godzilla off his feet ''twice'', three times if one counts him giving Godzilla a lift during the massive battle with Ghidorah (showing that Rodan was truly at his strongest during the Showa Era despite weighing ''less'' than Godzilla, and he wasn't the only Kaiju to do this as we see later on) and even straight up tanks Godzilla's Atomic Breath twice (once from a distance and later on '''point-blank''') showing that if anyone was capable of dueling Godzilla on equal footing Rodan could and this was the PreBadAssDecay Rodan, and the match ultimately ends in a ''stalemate'' no thanks to King Ghidorah attacking Mothra, with no apparent winner between the two.

* And of course, Godzilla vs Rodan, where the supersonic Terror of the Skies actually goes toe to toe with the mighty King of the Monsters is truly one of the highlights of the film despite the silliness involved and at several points during the battle. * The Battle Royale at the finale is awesome (even if it is a little too goofy at times) and is still among the most iconic battles in Kaiju eiga and a turning point in the development of Godzilla himself.

* King Ghidorah's first appearance: a huge fireball erupts out of a crashed meteor, then forms into the shape and solidifies: pure destruction made flesh. One of the most spectacular introductions of any monster in all of cinema.

* Speaking of, let's not forget that Mothra's first male heir proved he's worthy of the name by being willing to go head to head with King Ghidorah ''on his own'' despite knowing he is '''''completely outmatched''''' by the space monster. This is actually the ''catalyst'' for Godzilla and Rodan being convinced to take up the cause of defeating Ghidorah alongside him!
