* In the middle of a blizzard, Numbers and Wrench appear out of nowhere and attack Malvo. No intimidation, no manipulation or shit-talking, they simply appear from behind him and unload their guns into him and his car. For the first time in, quite possibly his entire life, Malvo is not the predator but the prey. And while he does eventually escape, and even kill Mr. Numbers, it's only by the skin of his teeth. He would later admit to Wrench that this is the closest anyone's ever come to killing him.

* Molly asks Lou to call home for her and let Gus know she will be working all night on the manhunt for Malvo. Lou does one better.
-->'''Lou''': Screw that. Getting my gun, is what I'm doing. Go sit on the front porch, make sure my granddaughter's safe.
** Sure enough, Gus wakes up in the morning to find Lou standing guard outside the house, shotgun in hand. As Molly says, "Gotta love a man who keeps his word."
--->'''Gus''': I'm going after [Molly]. Keep an eye on Greta.\\
'''Lou''': [[PapaWolf Believe me, I mean to.]]

* The final scene. [[spoiler: Molly simply snuggles up to Gus as they watch television as a typical, happy family. And then cue the familiar cinematic theme.]]

** At the same time though, Malvo does manage to at least get the last word in and does not lose his composure to the neighbor. Even when backing down from a fight, Malvo is still the awesome badass he always is and he does not let the neighbor get him down.

* Gus's neighbor ''instantly'' recognizing Malvo for what he is and demanding that he leave the neighborhood. Malvo threatens to kill him and his children in response, but then he leaves the neighborhood, just as he was told. It's one of the only times in the series that anyone manages to get the upper hand on Malvo, and it's a perfectly harmless, unassuming, ordinary man who has enough guts to face up to a monster.
