** After Digivolving into [=AeroVeedramon=], the battle reaches a climax with a HighAltitudeBattle between the two Ultimates; Flash using his wings and Trixie using her own Air Soles Battle Gear. At the end, both of their last securities are broken at the same time, but Trixie's Battle Gear is also destroyed from the strain, causing her to crash into the ground and Burt’s into data from the impact, thus giving Flash the win.

* The last advantage that Flash has over Crusher is the Battle Gear that Micro gave him before the battle. The Dragon Booster turns out to be a JetPack that gets Flamedramon out of the river he fell into and gives him an aerial advantage.
* Though it ends up coming down to the wire with both Players being out of Securities at the end, Flash narrowly manages to win his first match and RankUp to the Rookie Level.
* Flash's first visit to the Digi-Lab:
** Gennai is able to do as he said in the previous chapter and is able to copy and reintroduce Veemon's data to the Digital World to ensure he won't be TheLastOfHisKind. He then offers to buy the Digimental of Courage off Flash to sell scans of it at the Digi-Store. Rather than keep it and have a monopoly on it, Flash agrees to sell it for five thousand Digidollars.
** Flash puts his newfound money to good use by Digivolving his scans. He Digivolves Veemon to Veedramon and [=AeroVeedramon=]. Veedramon even says he feels even more powerful than he does as Flamedramon. Flash also Digivolves Flamedramon to [=BurningGreymon=] and then de-Digivolves him to obtain Agunimon and Flamemon, unlocking another evolution line of one of the main protagonists.
