** How does Spider-Man get the upper hand in the fight? He webs the shield to the wall, and realises that Cap knows how Spider-Man has always fought... but he doesn't know how Spider-Man fights now, in the Iron Spider suit.
* Spider-Man switching sides. He does so by attacking Iron Man in Stark Tower, with the fight quickly spilling into the New York streets, only for Iron Man to activate a fail safe in the Iron Spider suit designed for that exact possibility, all the while chiding Peter for being a man of science but never bothering to examine the systems of the suit he was wearing, before Peter responds in kind by revealing he not only built in his own counter to Stark's fail safe, ''but he installed his own in the Stark Network to deactivate the Iron Man armor long enough for him to escape.''

* Cap and Iron Man's rematch. Knowing he can't take on Tony in a straight fight, Cap stalls him long enough for Vision to sneak up and disable his armour. Whereupon Cap precedes to deliver a CurbStompBattle of his own.
-->'''Captain America:''' '''Now I'm fighting dirty.'''

* It may not be awesome in terms of action, but it still counts. Spider-Man, after changing sides and joining Captain America's side, wants to know how can Captain America cope with the idea of stading for something that goes against the opinion of the vast majority of the country. [[http://www.themarysue.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/3779149-no-you-move-cap-says.jpg This is his awesome answer]].

* A minor moment after ComicBook/{{Daredevil}} has been captured. Tony stops the guards and tries to convince DD to join the side of the registration but is informed by the guards that he hasn't said a word since being detained, and hand him a silver dollar that they found under his tongue. Daredevil chooses then to speak up, telling Tony [[Literature/TheFourGospels he has thirty-]]''[[Literature/TheFourGospels one]]'' [[Literature/TheFourGospels pieces of silver now]]. Tony is left staring uncomfortably at the coin as the guards lead the vigilante into custody.
-->'''Daredevil:''' [[WhatTheHellHero Sleep well, Judas.]]

* Of course, Iron Man had his own moment of an awesome speech to justify his point. [[http://www.chasingamazingblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/ASM53103.png See it here]] Just a shame that his comparison of himself to Abraham Lincoln seems to miss the fact that, in *his* "civil war", *he* leads the side that institute slavery.
* [[http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11/113883/2224545-reed_richards__earth_616__peter_parker__earth_616__civil_war_vol_1_7.png Amazing. Spectacular!]]
* [[CoolVersusAwesome Captain America vs. Spider-Man]]. During one of the tie-ins, the two wind up fighting each other. Even though Spider-Man has vastly superior super-powers to Captain America (who's "merely" the absolute peak of human potential without going over), Spider-Man has his work cut out for him, as Steve's superior experience and commitment carry the day. Spider-Man at one point tries to analyze Captain America's moves, only to realize there are no "moves", just a seamless transition from one attack to the next to the next, a master ballet of combat. Spider-Man's already having his doubts about Tony Stark's decisions, but when Captain America throws his shield at Spider-Man, Peter's internal monologue calls it "The symbol of the whole freaking country, and he threw it at me." It's that moment, more than any other, that cements that it's ''when'' Peter turns coat away from Tony, not ''if''.
* Hercules destroying Clor with his own hammer cemented Hercules into full EnsembleDarkhorse in the sixth issue.
-->'''Hercules:''' How darest thou wear the flesh of the Odinson? I ''knew'' Thor… Thor was a ''friend'' of mine… and you ''know'' something, imposter? '''THOU ART NO THOR!'''
* Herc gets another one in the 4th issue. Cap is on the receiving end of a [[CurbStompBattle very one-sided]] [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown beatdown]] from Iron Man. Cue Hercules [[BigDamnHeroes coming in with]] a [[ImprobableWeaponUser gigantic metal globe]] and beating down Iron Man with it, allowing others to rescue Cap.
** Cap gets points for his (usual) [[{{Determinator}} sheer tenacity]] to keep fighting despite the beatdown.
** Iron Man gets one for not listening to his base feelings and refusing to attack Cap physically and resorting to sonics to put him down. Cap still doesn't go down though.
* Aunt May got an awesome moment when she's visited by the Chameleon disguised as Peter. She pretended that she hadn't a clue, but when the jig was up, the Chameleon learned too late that she'd poisoned the cookies he just ate with arsenic. And just to rub it in his face, she revealed that the sweater she'd been knitting had the word "GOTCHA!" sewn in it. A helpless old woman she is not!
