VI example not needed, subpage for that work already exists. No meta examples

* White Glint in ''For Answer'' is stated to be [[OneManArmy almost the sole reason Line Ark is still intact]]. It's very telling that the League never fight him one-on-one.
* The fight with the Ice Worm C-Weapon at the end of Chapter 3 of [=AC6=]. To sum up: 621, G5 Iguazu, V.II Snail, and "Chatty" Stick head out to do battle with said C-Weapon. The problem however being that the Worm has a reactive duel-layer shield that makes it immune to just about any weapon anyone can throw at it, so you get to use a prototype weapon: A shoulder mounted cannon that fires large shock needles right at the Worm's mouth (And it has to be the mouth, that has three saws for teeth mind you, since the whole body is armored) to punch through that first shield layer. As for the Second? That's left to Rusty who's providing fire support out of the combat area with a massive railgun provided by "Cinder" Carla who proves that he's just as good at sharpshooting as he is at AC combat by hitting the massive worm with the railgun the moment it comes out of the ground. Even when the Ice Worm turns red and starts using electrified Coral attacks, Rusty never loses his cool and makes his last shot with the railgun count, giving 621 enough time to destroy it.
-->'''Rusty:''' All emergency valves closed. Disabling limiter. 100, 110... 115... Rail Cannon at maximum output! *The Ice Worm surfaces* All or nothing. *Fires the railgun, landing a direct hit on the Ice Worm's head that sends it crashing into the ground, leaving it wide open*\\
'''Ayre:''' The target's Coral shield has been wiped out!\\
'''Rusty:''' It's all on you now buddy!\\
'''G1 Michigan:''' NOW G13!
** The best part about those railgun shots? The moment Rusty starts charging up a shot, the music starts building up in intensity as he gets ready then goes dead for just a moment when Rusty makes a comment before firing and only after you hear the impact of the Ice Worm slamming into the ground does the music comes back. Hell, the last railgun shot has just a spilt second of silence after Rusty fires and you see the railgun shot going through the Worm's head before you hear and see the impact blast.

Dewicking Bonus Boss

* LR has its own moments, too, but the ones that stand out most are beating Uber!Zinaida and any of the Pulverizer battles. ESPECIALLY the [[BonusBoss last]] [[TrueFinalBoss one]], who will slaughter you if you take on it unprepared.

** Also from Verdict Day, the BonusBoss rematch with the Spirit of Motherwill, again because you're taking down an enemy that even a NEXT would have trouble with, with nothing but a squad of Normals.

* The Ending cut-scene for Master Of arena. after (HOPEFULLY) giving Nineball Seraph a completely BRUTAL beatdown, to the point it is LITERALLY falling apart with its ammunition cooking off from the flames, Hustler One STILL manages to drag itself back to its feet for ONE last attempt at taking you down with it before its systems finally fail for good. AI or not, that's some villainous HeroicWillpower RIGHT there!

* Anjou, also in ''4'', is one of the few non-FinalBoss characters in the series to get an EstablishingCharacterMoment before her battle; namely, slicing open the door you stand in front of at the start of the mission with the [[InfinityPlusOneSword legendary Moonlight]] LaserBlade, while also pinning you for a second swing if you don't start moving ''immediately''. They don't call her "The Queen of Close Combat" for nothing.

* Armored Cores are presented as up-scaled war machines going at each other in early installments. But [=NEXTs=] in ''Armored Core 4'' are treated like very precise ''weapon of mass destruction''.
** You are capable to do ''a lot more'' than what's presented in [=AC4's=] opening cinematic.

* Surprisingly, the opening cutscene of [=AC3=]: one of the black [=ACs=] gets its head blown off by the hulking heavy AC, who begins the slow and rather leisurely process of deploying its big guns to finish him off while the black AC stands, twitches, and sparks...only to rocket backwards and launch an missile barrage that would have put ''Macross'' to shame.
