All Anime Is Naughty Tentacles is about audience opinion.

* AllAnimeIsNaughtyTentacles: Common, and guaranteed to immediately gravitate towards Yukiko-hime. The second episode demonstrates this with the pot-of-snakes Yokai.

* ShoutOut: Episode 2's CouchGag is one to Series/Ultraman with the cast standing in front of the Science Patrol Base
** Episode 3's CouchGag has Enma & Chappeuji as ComicBook/Batman, Kappaeru as ComicBook/SpiderMan and Yukiko-hime as ComicBook/Supergirl
** During the BeTheBall sequence in episode 3, the scene where Enma is throwing the girls as balls at Chiiko-sensei is a direct reference the opening of Manga/AttackNumberOne
** The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Film/Ghostbusters 1984 makes an appearance in episode 4.
*** From the same episode, we also have Enmazinger, Kappaeru having his face resculpted to resemble Manga/Golgo 13, people turned into machines such as Mechagodzilla, Doublas M2, and Boss Borot, and various Manga/Devilman demons such as Mizun, Lacock, and the finally becomes the OVA version of Sirene.
*** Prior to the opening of that same episode, the CouchGag is a shout out to Series/UltraSeven.
** In Episode 5's CouchGag, Enma is dressed as Series/Redman, Yukiko-hime is dressed as Series/JumborgAce and Kappaeru is dressed as Series/Mirrorman. Fun fact: The sound effects for both this show and Mirrorman are provided by Creator/FizzSoundCreation
*** In that same episode, when a Harumi sees a swarm of bees, she immediately references Literature/MayaTheBee which was hugely popular among Japanese children thanks to its 70's anime adaptation by Creator/NipponAnimation.
*** Also in the same episode when Harumi dons Enma's hat and staff after the eyecatch, she quotes the "Maharu Tamara Furanpa" incantation from Anime/MajokkoTickle.
** The period and setting of the series (lower Tokyo in the early 70's) are practically identical to those of Anime/BrigadoonMarinAndMelan, which is also by Creator/YoshitomoYonetani, and much of the scenery and locations are the same with the bathhouse in Episode 1 and the amusement park in Episode 2 as two notable examples.
** Kappaeru floats past the Monolith from 2001 in Episode Six.
*** In Episode 6's CouchGag, Enma is dressed as Series/Spectreman and Yukiko-hime and Kappaeru are dressed as Dr. Gori and Karas from the same show.
** Episode 7's CouchGag has Harumi, Kappaeru, Chappeuji, Enma Daioh, Enma, Yukiko-hime and Enpi dressed as Rainbowman's different forms
** Episode 8's CouchGag is a recreation of the 60's Manga/AstroBoy opening with Enma as Astro, Yukiko-hime as Uran, Kappaeru as Ochanomizu and Chappeuji as Pluto.
** Episode 9's CouchGag is a ShoutOut to Series/AmbassadorMagma (AKA Space Giants).
** Episode 10's CouchGag is a recreation of the Series/Thunderbirds intro
** Episode 10 references multiple SuperRobot shows including Fire Goblin and Ice Goblin morphing into a robot that resembles Baron Ashura and ChoRyuJin, Enpi piloting a clone of Big Shooter, and three goblins based on food obviously forming (and completely failing at being) the Getter Team.
** Episode 12's CouchGag is a recreation of the opening to Star of the Giants, specifically the original 1968 iteration.
** Many things in episode 12 including WesternAnimation/WackyRaces of all things though this isn't a shock given Wacky Races popularity in Japan . Ryo from Demon Lord Dante can be seen among the extras. Series/Ultraman is briefly referenced in Enma's fight with Plume as her bra has a secret mirror in it, much like Baltan Seijin 2. Angel Mark possesses the Thunder Break from Anime/GreatMazinger. Susa no Jou turns into the Dai-X when she's burned by Enma. Finally one can find Gyaos hidden among the many individuals briefly when the power of love is activated.
*** In episode 12, we also get a nod to Yukiko-hime's TheyCallMeMisterTibbs / InsistentTerminology moments from the 70's anime, though it's in a much more sweeter context.
