Bulma, however, spent her time creating a Time Machine to send Trunks back into the past so he can give Goku the medicine that will save his life and warn him about the androids. The very last scene is Trunks taking off in the Time Machine to his journey to the past, kicking off the events of the Androids/Cell Saga.
