* AllThereInTheManual: Additional details (and backstory) for the main characters is available in the original ImageSong character singles' monologues (their motives and feelings towards Ritsuka), the [[RomanceGame otome game]], and the duet singles' monologue tracks.

* WatchingTheSunset: Mage ultimately takes Ritsuka to a beach in Episode 5, to watch the sunset. He did so, because he thinks it is a "pretty" thing that human couples want to see when going on a date.

* AlmostKiss: In Episode 9, after confessing to Ristuka that he is in love with her, Lindo leans in to kiss her but is interrupted when Rem arrives at the temple.

* CastFullOfPrettyBoys: Due to the series being an otome anime, the main male cast (the student council, Lindo, and [[spoiler: Roen]]) are designed to be attractive not only for Ritsuka, but also for the female viewers. Even Jek, whose real appearance wasn't revealed until later in the anime, looks handsome as well.

* CircusOfFear: In Episode 3, Ritsuka gets chased through an ominous fairground by Urie's "butterflies", which turns out to be supernatural in nature as it disappears when Ritsuka escapes with brother.

The anime started airing on October 4, 2015 as part of the Fall2015Anime season.

The manga entitled ''Dance with Devils -Blight-'' is written and illustrated by Samako Natsu and began serialization in Creator/SquareEnix's G Fantasy magazine on September 18. It features an original story which does not follow the anime. The anime's scriptwriter Rika Nakase will be collaborating on the story. It's scheduled to have a movie soon.
