I have to agree with the person who deleted this. The show wasn’t really trying to sell Carole and Tuesday as a romantic couple, and this post seems to be more towards personal beliefs that they were cheated out of a romantic couple that wasn’t really there.

* BaitAndSwitchLesbians: Many viewers believed that the two leads would move toward a romantic relationship. Sure, there was nothing ''explicitly'' stated, but the show's promotional materials and first few episodes are virtually ''dripping'' with {{subtext}}, plus the songs "Hold Me Now" and "Loneliest Girl" could be easily interpreted as describing the girls' feelings of romantic love for each other. Alas, the girls [[HeterosexualLifePartners never get past being mere friends]], and at one point the shows even resorts to the cliche of [[spoiler:having one of the girls fall in love with a guy]] in an obvious attempt to kill off any {{ship tease}} between them.
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
Re-instating this, since the reason given for removal was spurious, to say the least. Baiting the audience with a lesbian romance is not limited to explictly stating there will be one. Sub-text will do just as well, and in this case there was a massive amount of it in the trailers and in the subject matter of their songs.

1) The season ended open and there wasn't any confirmation about romance for any of them, so it can't be bait because there wasn't any promise of romance between them, but at the same time they didn't make it impossible. It was open, only that. And 2) Wow thank you for the bi erasure there

* BaitAndSwitchLesbians: Many viewers believed that the two leads would move toward a romantic relationship, fueled by the show's promotional materials and how the songs "Hold Me Now" and "Loneliest Girl" could be interpreted as describing the girls' feelings of love for each other. Add to this the [[ShipTease close moments between them]] in earlier episodes combined with the show's rather positive way of depicting non-heterosexual relationships, and it's easy to see why {{yuri}} fans flocked to it. Alas, the girls [[HeterosexualLifePartners never get past being mere friends]], and at one point [[spoiler:Tuesday even falls in love with a guy.]]
