Whiske: Added a little to the summary. The NYC transit system doesn't really do the whole "schedule" thing; expecting otherwise is like griping about the lack of sky scrapers in the suburbs. And it may not be the best, but it has it's good points.

While larger in size in The London Underground, it is rather noisier and uglier, in this London-based troper's opinion. Everyone else disagrees.
As the Underground varies considerably in appearance.
Norwegian Guy: Do we really need separate entries for different subway systems? I mean, isn't it enough to just have an article called "Subway" or "Underground" and then list some cities that have them?
