Dawgstar: I've got one - I've started reading the manga and Tsubaki doesn't come across as so much of a Yamato Nadeshiko. Does that change later on? (In the anime, though, I totally see it.)

Amadeus Windfall: Does the black blood actually count as Black Blood? The Trope description says "Not to be confused with cases where the "blood" is supposed to be a different color, like with robots or some aliens.", after all.

Midonin: I removed Black Blood from the list, since the trope doesn't quite match up to the series' Black Blood, even if it shares a name.

This Troper: It does, because it's the only blood we actually see.

Dark Insanity 13: Is it? I was re-reading parts of the manga earlier, and there are points here and there where (it's assumed) actual blood is being shed. But you can't really tell when manga is done in black and white with screentones. Actually, compared to the manga, injuries are less substantial in the anime (Maka got nicked on the head by Chrona when she was insane in the manga, but it was a stab to the shoulder in the anime, and Maka's Maka Chop victims occasionally end up with more than just concussions in the manga). True, we do see it more often, but that's because it's a major issue in the series. So, therefore, I don't think that Soul Eater's Black Blood fits under the same catagory as TV Tropes definition of it. I'll leave it on the page in case (because I don't want an edit war starting), but if someone else agrees with me, go right ahead.

The Phantom Squee: You see blood when Shinigami and Maka do their respective chops, and it's definitely red.

Pavlov: Can't remove Black Blood from the list because 5 minutes later, someone else will re-add it. Its presence keeps people from making the same mistake over and over. I'm just calling it an aversion.

Anonymous: How exactly is Maka a Tsundere? She lacks both the "tsun" and the "dere," being rather straightforward about her feelings towards her partner and lacking in general in lovey-dovey intent vs. just simple care for a trusted friend. (Twin pigtails alone do not a tsundere make.)

Thornheart: Recent chapters of the manga disagree. She's just more of a Type B, showing her tsuntsun (i.e. Maka Chop) whenever Soul is an Accidental Pervert or exhibiting the "jerk" in Jerk with a Heart of Gold.

Also Anonymous: Actually, the one that's got me confused is how and where the Alternate Character Interpretation of Medusa as Chaotic Good comes from. I can't see it in her goals or motivations (beyond the 'Chaos' part), and you'd think her abandonment and neglect of a certain home-grown minion would firmly preclude Ms. Gorgon from the title of Good.

Repelsteeltju: I think It has to do with. Medusa's wish to make the word evolve.. Though we don't know enough about her motives to say for certain. To be honest we don't even know if what Shibusen is doing is 'good' so far all she wants to do is to break the status quo maintained by Shibusen. Her abandonment and neglect of Crona are imo explaind by Stein saying Medusa doesn't know how to love/what love is... So she can't love her child. At least that's How I interpret it. I don't know about the person who put it there.

hbyuhi: What's the animation quality of Soul eater? I've only watched the first 8 episodes. Does it stay good and consistent? I don't watch many anime adaptions of manga, largely because I can't stand poor animation.

Pavlov: It's consistent. I'm pretty psycho about animation quality, I've even stopped watching badly done series. This one keeps the quality, as well as the craziness.

Pavlov: Hah! I see that whoever did the images of Tsubaki and the Thompson Sisters on the Characters page managed to include their boobs, while getting a foot-shot of Medusa. Ain't no rest for the wicked, hmm?

Noir The Executioner: Ah, well I put up the ones for Patti, Liz and Tsubaki, but somebody else put up the Medusa one. Coincidental, seeing as where ever I went the exact same pictures of them where there, and I...just thought something new would be better? Ahaha...

werd: Are there ACTUALLY people who hate the phrase "this troper"? THIS TROPER would disagree! :D

R.G. : It's obvious to me that Maka has a severe case of Does Not Like Men due to her issues with her father. As for Soul, first he abandons Maka to be with Blair then he changes his mind?

Thornheart: No, he was lying. He needed to get close to Blair in order to kill her, so he lied. He didn't tell Maka to make it more convincing.
