Where All Da White Women At? launched as WhereDaWhiteWomenAtDiscussion: From YKTTW

Working Title: Where Da White Women At?: From YKTTW

  • I've read that the BBC is - or was - actively portraying interracial relationships (like Mickey and Rose in Doctor Who) more prevalently than they exist in the UK, to promote that IR relations are OK. No in-universe big deal is made of the interracialness of the pairings but it is done on purpose, not just because "the best actors got the parts."

Gracie Lizzie: Pulled for the time being because, as was mentioned on the YKTTW, this is possibly just people on the internet stirring things. Interracial relationships are fairly common in the UK, especially in the south. This needs more discussion really.

Er, I've gotta ask...if this trope is about white women and black men, why are there black women and white men examples, such as Loving v. Virginia? :/ I'm thinking this page needs a cleaning, but I thought I'd ask before going ahead, in case I'm somehow wrong about what counts as examples, or the Weasley twins were black. -Joanof Arcane
