Your Obedient Serpent doesn't care what Myth Busters "proved" about playing card throwing. In high school, back in the late '70s/early '80s, we spent some time goofing around with the techniques. It didnt' take long for me to get good enough to raise a welt from across a room with a 3x5 card, which is a lot floppier and less well-suited to throwing than an actual playing card. I am sure that someone who actually practiced would have better results than whatever gizmo Adam and Jaimie hacked together.
