There was a weird Justice League comic story where all the heroes got exposed to crazy juice, with a one in eight chance of one of them going nuts. Blue Beetle of all people apparently goes apedooky and scares the villain into an antitode. Turns out it was one in eight chance for each person and everyone made a saving roll for keeping their sanity. Ted just faked the crazy.
