Working Title: Love Makes You Evil: From YKTTW
Does JJ Lin's music video 杀手 (Sha Shou, 'The Killa') belong here?
I don't think Sailor Neptune and Uranus's "betrayal" really counts, since it turns out later on to have only been a ruse. It only LOOKED like a case of "Love Makes You Evil".
Any reason my Harry Potter example doesn't belong? It was previously deleted without so much as a comment why. I rewrote it with a clearer explanation. I figure it belongs here because it really is a rather direct inversion of this concept. It's not simply "Love Conquers All", but actually a case of an evil person acting good because of love. Maybe I'm wrong. It just seems fitting.
First of all, Snape's not evil. A bastard, sure, but not evil. Second of all, "Love makes you Good" is not an inversion of this trope. That's Love Redeems. "Lack-of-love makes you Evil" would be an inversion.
Lale: This HP example doesn't belong either: "* Inverted in "Harry Potter"; Lack of love is what makes Voldemort evil." Voldemort is just the type of villain who is so corrupted, he can;t love or understand it. He didn't turn evil because he was spurned by his true love or something like that. The trope just isn't used.
Some Guy: Ugh. That Suzaku entry in Code Geass really needs a bigger spoiler barrier around. I don't care what the event was that made it happen, the spoiler is the fact that he's listed under this trope in the first place!
Loser Gamer Britt: Could we get another picture? One that, you know, everyone can tell has to do with the trope?
