- A version of this occurs in Aida, in which the title character seals herself into a temple so that she can die with lover Radames, who was sentenced to be executed in this manner. They sing about how totally screwed they are, but are happy that at least they're dying together.
This is not Let Them Die Happy, or, at least, it's Let Them Die Happy in name only. Don't worry, though, Les Mis has enough Let Them Die Happy for two musicals!
