Would dogs count as a Real Life example? I mean, humans took wolves and turned them into a species that has countless different types 'custom made' for specific uses, is highly dependent on us, helped us kick the butts of every other species on the planet, and is not only willing to do our bidding but is absolutely estatic about being given the opportunity to do so.
