Daibhid C: Does anyone remember the title of a BBC programme looking at predictions in which Griff Rhys-Jones said the reason Food Pills don't exist, even though people have been predicting them for about fifty years, is that people don't want Food Pills, they want to actually eat?
Parodied in a MST 3 K skit where the Observers sent Mike their super-advanced Food Pills — but you have to eat huge heaping bowls of them, which subverts the entire premise of making food into a pill. Mind you, this is actually realistic; you just can't squeeze proteins and carbohydrates down that far.
