Working Title: Death By Falling Over: From YKTTW

Wasn't there a bit like this in the David Lynch film Lost Highway? Where the protagonist accidentally kills a guy by knocking him over and causing him to impale his head on a glass table?

It's been a while since I rented it, so maybe someone else can elaborate.

fleb: This doesn't seem actually true. Disney villains die by falling down a really large height, not falling over.

  • Some variation of this is the cause of death for every Disney villain, thus allowing the closure of killing off the baddy without having to handle the emotional complexity of having someone else be responsible, or God forbid, the villain actually being redeemed. Often the mode of death will also invoke a Hoist by His Own Petard, for added irony.
    • Notable exceptions: Ursula in Little Mermaid is actually stabbed to death by the hero, Eric (with a ship, no less.) The Baddy of Sleeping Beauty is sworded by Phillip after transforming into a dragon.
